The hotel is located in the best spot off the old town, staff very nice and service excellent. The room perfect with high ceilings and big. We had a wonderful stay for the weekend, rooms are quite as well. Loved it all.

10/10, can't say enough good about this. The location is pretty much perfect, the staff super friendly and helpful, it's a cool building, parking is super convenient. The price for what you get location-wise is incredible.

I arrive early, the staff was able to find me space to work and outreach me when my room becomes available

I have stayed at Charleston many times, the last one being at The Charleston Place. It obviously cannot compared as the cost there is many times over, but this is a "Boutique" hotel that makes you feel like you are at home.
Pros:
Daily breakfast in bed.
Located in the middle of shopping and great restaurants.
Walking distance to the Port.
Inexpensive parking right next to the Hotel.
Happy (free) hour with nice wines and snacks.
Excellent staff.
Cons:
We only stayed 4 days.
Definitely the place to stay if you are traveling to Charleston.

Loved the historic look of the hotel and our room, and how very quiet it was. Everything was clean, and having breakfast brought to our room was a real luxury. The tub didn't drain well, but everything else was perfect, including the comfy beds and the nice big closet.

Great location that is close to many shops and restaurants. Easy to catch public transport. Hotel was clean with nice staff. Free breakfast was a plus. The only con was the terrible water pressure of the shower.

Eveything was excellent. The only thing i would say is that the breakfast was misleading.
I was picturing a hot breakfast such as eggs, bacon, etc. I wouldn't have thought I needed to ask if the complimentary breakfast included was a “hot” one. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful hotel and everyone was very kind.
