I've stayed in over 1000 hotel properties*, this stands out as one of the best! In Charlotte for 5 weeks due to major back surgery and stayed at the Homewood Suites in Ballantyne. Plenty of time to see it all. Front Desk - 5. Exceptional job by Daz, Stephen and Gulshat. The Room - 5. Well kept, everything you need for an extended stay. Housekeeping - 5. Some of the nicest, most cheerful people I have met. Met supervisor Maribel, and Rosa – awesome job! Breakfast Area Staff - 5. Fantastic crew, smiling and helpful. Food - 3. OK, This is on me. I'm not into american breakfast. However a large selection that rotates daily. Wednesday happy hour - nice selection of snacks, complementary beer/wine. Pool/Rec/ Workout areas - looked great, couldn't use :( Maintenance - 5. Used the outdoor grill one night and it looked brand new. 15 year old property in excellent condition. All of this points to one person. Michelle, GM is a dedicated individual, with attention to detail. A true professional who has assembled a tremendous staff. And let me not forget Landon, Dir of Sales who I initially had the pleasure to speak with. Have your next meeting/gathering here! Negative reviews are just that.There's occasionally a situation that comes up, but if you work with the staff, it will get taken care of. * Lifetime diamond Thanks to all!

Very poor check in experience, I was told I needed to give a card for incidentals. I provided one and they told me it would be two separate charges, I asked them to confirm they were both refundable and they said yes. After paying I was a bit suspicious due to how much I was charged so I asked again, and they told me I was charged for the room and the incidentals. I explained I had already paid for the room; after initially telling me I had not paid, the gentleman working there went back to talk to the manager and I had to wait to get refunded. I asked for a copy of my refund receipt since I was using my business card and they told me they were unable to provide any proof of the refund. I explained they I didn’t need the refund itself immediately just evidence it had been initiated, the response was “I can bring the manager out to tell you the same thing if you like.” The staff member was unwilling to work with me to resolve the issue. Nothing was done to try and make up for the mistake or the frustration, even after I voiced this had not been a positive experience so far. I understand mistakes happen, but from a business perspective, double charging and not being able to provide evidence a refund has been initiated is unprofessional on the part of the hotel. Very poor experience here at the Hilton, would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was nice, and quiet, didn't hear doors slamming throughout the night like most hotels. Was told it was only 4 blocks from the convention center. Was actually like 10 blocks. Parking was a little over priced at $45. The valet never sent call links and it took 25-30 min to get our truck sometimes then they expected a tip as those links didn't seem to have any trouble getting through to my phone. Parking/valet would prob be my least favorite about the hotel. Breakfast was spot on! The staff were incredible in the breakfast area. Especially one lady I wish I had her name. My sone was getting over a chest cold and she made him a Honey Lemon Tea.
