Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel

Great hotel in the heart of Downtown Charlotte. Diamond was my receptionist and her hospitality and professionalism was A1. Highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was amazing! This is probably the most beautiful hotel I have seen in a while. Restaurant and rooftop bar was incredible!

Hotel staff worked as a team to provide excellent service under very trying conditions when the electrical power failed and only emergency power was available for over 16-hours. Staff remained professional, pleasant and alert to the needs of their guests. Good Job!

We had a two night stay booked, but on the second day the hotel lost all of its power. The staff, management, and hosts were unbelievably kind. It wasn’t the hotels fault and we will be staying here again for sure

While the staff were great, we were incredibly disappointed in our stay. We stayed two nights and woke up the first night extremely hot. We called the front desk and were informed that the entire hotel was without power. We had to go to a restaurant to charge our phone, we couldn’t shower or fix our hair. We decided to stay as we were in town for a bowl game. Thankfully, when we returned to the hotel after the game the power was on. When we checked out the following morning, we asked about compensation. We were told that since we “chose to stay” the best they could do is comp our parking for one night. First, we were never informed that we had the option to leave. Second, since we were in town for a bowl game, we had activities planned throughout the day, so we would not have had an opportunity to move hotels and there likely would not have been another hotel in the area. Third, the entire hotel (19 floors) was restricted to using the service elevator causing delay. Overall, extremely disappointing.

We stayed 2 nights here for the FSU championship game that was played at the Bank of America stadium. We arrived around midnight and the hotel was easy to find and we used valet parking. We were put off at first because we had several bags and no one offered to get a luggage cart. It was also really crowded with a bunch of people loitering in the lobby. But, we overlooked that because of the game. You were only allowed on the elevator with a key card for your room. Which was awesome for security. When we got to our room, it was very clean, had a balcony, and an awesome view of Charlotte. The bed was comfy and it had all the usual amenities. The one thing about the room that was frustrating was the absence of a coffee or expresso maker. But, you could call the front desk and request one. Which, is silly, just put one in the room. We ordered breakfast from room service a couple of times and it was quick and delicious. The staff was awesome and very attentive throughout our stay. Everyone, including the front desk personnel, the nice man who helped us with our bags upon our departure, and the valet personnel were very professional, friendly, and helpful. I felt safe and well taken care of by everyone there. There were a ton of people in downtown Charlotte for the game and it was super close and convenient to everything. The hotel has a bar and restaurant onsite. We walked to the game at the stadium. It was an easy walk and took about 10 minutes. Loved late checkout!!!!!

Meh....I spent over $700 to stay one night and not a single employee that I encountered knows about service. The door man doesn't open the door. The front desk didn't know if they had any relationships with car rental companies and told me to just "Google it." Housekeeping knocked and tried to get in three times before 10 am with a "do not disturb" sign hanging from the knob. Try another hotel at this price point. You can't do any worse.

Our stay at the Kimpton Tryon Park was outstanding . The staff , especially Reginald the bellman and Angel at the front desk were extremely accompanying and helpful !
