We typically do a one / two night stay at Park Hyatt Chennai once in a couple of months or so. It's a lovely hotel. Large rooms that remind me of the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo (except for the Toto washlet that the Chennai hotel does not have!). Good food, attentive service. Overall great hotel to stay in.

We booked in the tower side of the hotel and the rooms were really lovely, well appointment, large bath and bedroom. The hotel is as Oasis in a very busy and warm city. The standard rooms which we saw weren't great. Would not call them 5 star standard. Food was good across the restaurants, lot's of choice Good pools and gym Breakfast was good but badly organised. They had queues building across the allocated space and chaos around where people should sit. They eventually had us walk over to their banquet rooms for breakfast, but if they know the number of occupied rooms this could have been ***aged better. Unless they have walk in breakfast guests.

This place was recommended by a friend who stays at Boat Club and I read reviews in Google, Tripadvisor and Aggregator sites.   We booked 2 rooms for 2N/3D stay at Crowne Plaza, Adyar, Chennai through an aggregator site. I called up the hotel to check on our reservation confirmation, but we were told that only one room is booked and they do not have second room confirmation. I called up the support team of aggregator and they confirmed it is 2 rooms and they called up the hotel and shared us an email confirmation. Later I called up the reservation desk and understood that 2 rooms are booked and it’s a confirmed reservation.   Our Check-in experience was good and the staff were courteous and quick.   We were allotted two rooms in old block at Floor number 14 (Room No 1403 and 1405). For a moment I recollected the online reviews I read and the pictures I saw about this hotel weren’t in the same. I thought I will revisit the reviews online and double check If I had made any mistakes in booking wrong hotel. I also called up my friend and told my experience isn’t great and the rooms are looking OLD and the plumbing systems inside the wash room and room telephony isn’t working well. I invited the hotel Duty ***ager (Mr.Josua) and showed him the plumbing system inside the wash room and asked him just because the I happened to book from an aggregator site and got attractive deals, we were given a poor looking rooms? Or is this a standard rooms that they offer for all type of bookings. (we discussed this after experiencing our stay in poor and old looking rooms for 1 night).  Mr.Josua said the rooms in this floors are due for renovation and they would allot us rooms from new block. I told I would like to see the room before we move in. Mr.Murali took us to the new rooms and I could match the room pictures as posted in review sites. I told Murali and Josua, it is outrageous that they allotted old rooms to gullible guests. We moved into new rooms in Floor 25 (in new block)   The breakfast was awesome and service host (I think his name is Jibin).

We used Banquet Hall in Raintree Hotel St Marys Road Thanks for offering a fantastic hospitality today whilst we had our day workshop today at your premises. - Hall was great for 40 of us - AV systems and Projector were great (which normally easy to have challenges) - Support who were available in the Hall (Prakash, and other kitchen staffs) all were exceeded our expectations - Everyone appreciated the Food Spread ! Special thanks to the Chef : Hithayathullah S I would rate a promoter score if there were a NPS survey 😊 Finally the Banquet ***ager Divya was a great person to work with, she ensured all our meeting needs are taken care from the Quote estimation to Final Invoice.

no swimming pool even though advertized. no air conditioning in teh corridors. the carpet in the main lobby stinks. the rooms are nice and spaciaous and the service staff is excellent. the bathrooms are also nice and big and water is hot on de***d. in my specific bath, the mixer was broken so water came out of the both teh show and the hand faucet together. towels are clean but only 99% dry. bathrobes are fresh and comfortable. so are teh beds and pillows. The inroom entertainment was very poor. (the raintree in st mary's road has better curated selection of entertainment). the views are of urban streets so nothing much to say. the colour schme is horrendous but that is only my personal opinion. The 24/7 coffee shop ”kitchen” had nice breakfast and dinner buffets with a wide range of food, all well cooked. all in all the newer Raintree hotel on st mary's road is much better, but the rooms and bathrooms there are much smaller. i hope once they finish renovating this hotel will get its act together.

The whole experience was fantastic. The staff looked after us very well (at breakfast especially). They were asking about our well being as business travelers (we leave in the morning and only come back late). They ensured that when we are back, we were well looked after. Though we didn't have access to the lounge on the 9th floor, they moved mountains to get us there especially during the weekends. Then they surprised me by giving me a present on my last day. Shreya Hotel Rep - you did so well . If you talk about ratings, Shreya, from me it is 11/10

I stayed in Hostel Gandhi for 5 days in Feb 2022, it was only Rs 450 a night so a good deal! There are two rooms for gents and one for ladies. I was alone in the ladies room (three bunkbeds, housing 6 people) for 3 days and on the other two days, just had one roommate. The reception guy was soft-spoken, kind and responsive. The room was comfortable and AC was working. Water and electricity 24/7. Kitchen with everything needed to cook. Several friendly cats around. Space on the roof to hang out clothes washing. There were cobwebs in the room so it could use a thorough cleaning, ditto the kitchen. But all in all, a comfortable stay.

The hotel is perfect if you're looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Chennai. Me and my colleague had a reservation here for 3 days. The package we chose included the breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel on 10th September. However, our flight was delayed which resulted in us arriving at around 11 pm. The hotel's restaurant was closed by then but the staff at the reception was kind enough to guide us to order dinner at a proper place in this new unknown city. The room allocated to us was also quite comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge which made it possible to have cold drinks and cold water right in the room. The room also had wifi and a desk so we could do our work in the room as well. The next day we had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant (Qmin). The buffet spread was nice and every item was flavorful. At dinner we were greeted and hosted by the ***ager Mr. Divender. He was quite accommodating and friendly. During the rest of our stay he was the one to host us. On 13th we had a morning flight so we were to checkout at 5am. Mr. Divender knew the details of our early check-out so the night before he made sure we had some breakfast to go even when the restaurant opens at 7:30am. Overall the trip was quite enjoyable. Even though it was a business related trip the time we spent in the room was comfortable. In future if I visit Chennai again, I would again book a room in this hotel. I'd highly recommend this place.
