The hotel is right next to the racecourse and has plenty of parking, making it ideal for those traveling by car. The town itself is beautiful, with Tudor-style black and white timber-framed houses, ancient city walls, a clock tower, a castle, and charming old streets.

The hotel is bright on its appearance and modern in its lobby. Breakfast is great and hot. Just bear in mind you have to pay for the parking.

Nice location, next to racetrack and next to Chester centre.

We got a great deal on the price, perhaps due to the time of the year. The location is excellent, parking is £10 until 14:00 the following day. Good breakfast.

Arrived really late but smooth check in. Bit disgruntled having to pay £12 for parking even tho i had a blue badge and we were going to be there for less than 12 hours! Breakfast was very nice. Plenty of options and staff were really friendly We would stay here again

The hotel was in a great location, a short walk to the town centre, and really lovely views of the racecourse and hills in the distance. The room was a good size and had a good supply of tea and coffee, although there was unlimited tea, coffee and juices downstairs in the dining area. The bed was really comfy and having blackout curtains was a bonus as I sleep better with total darkness. Breakfast was lovely with a large selection of hot food and also fruit, cereals and yoghurt. My only disappointment was the bacon was a little bit too crispy for me, but that's just personal preference. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others too. 😊😊

The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The local is not too far from city centre. We walked to the city centre less than5mins, walk to city wall from the hotel about 15mins but if you walk faster it takes 7-8mins. The breakfast is great.

Stayed for Chester races . Great location. Lovely hotel with parking . Staff very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again in the future.

Didnt refund my booking despite family illness really disappointing with a booking of over 150 pound

Just a brief overnight trip so didn't really use any amenities. Breakfast was good, dining room was overly full so had to go in the conference room, which really should have been laid out properly to use and not abandoned chairs everywhere. Should have had cutlery and condiments in that room too. Overall would stay there again

Fantastic location and only a stroll into Chester city centre. A few minutes from the river and right on the racecourse

I booked around a month in advance for a double room but I am allocated to the ground floor. A bit disappointed. Typical English breakfast selection. The room is spacious, shower is a bit worn out. Generally okay.

The lift was not working, the electric kettle not working the hair dryer not working . The room is congested compared to premier inn, travelodge and mercure

The location was perfect, and the hotel was clean. Check-in, check-out, and breakfast were all satisfactory. Downsides: The room was too small, and the Wi-Fi barely worked in room 101.
