After doing our homework, reading reviews & the fact that the hotel is quite new; we decided to check in. We had been on the road for almost 12 hours. The lobby/breakfast area is bright and well designed. We did wait for several minutes for a desk clerk to come to assist us. We asked for the best rate on a suite. And were told that only a few suites were left (Mon afternoon) and that only so many were set aside for discounted rates. My husband and I exchanged looks, deciding whether to leave. The clerk then came up with the suite/rate we had asked about. The suites are lovely. Very large, with every amenity you could want. (Full kitchen with stove, oven, microwave & fridge). Lots of closet space for a longer stay. BUT this is the where my rating changes to a 3/5. The suite was not very well cleaned. There were beads, (from a child’s craft) all over the sitting room and bedroom floor, along with potato chips. And candy wrappers on the couch. For a new hotel, it needs some touch ups and wipe downs. Oddly the shower has a 1/2 glass wall, meaning the shower head does spray somewhat onto the floor. Not a deal breaker. But odd. The breakfast was the usual free fare. There was a good selection and there was lots left. Checking out…I had to wait again, for a few minutes, for the desk person to show to the counter. The exterior could use some TLC. There was a lot of garbage on the grounds. It looked like spring maintenance had not yet been started. *The original check-in comment about room availability hotel? The parking lot certainly did not reflect this. Maybe it’s a marketing strategy.
