Hotel berhampiran Cantine Gavioli, Chianciano Terme

Wonderful hotel for a great value. Very friendly staff who were there to greet us and make breakfast for us in the morning, excellent food for breakfast, great location near all the key sights of Tuscany, a nice view, comfortable room with great AC, and nice grounds. I will stay here again for sure next time I visit Tuscany.

Ho scelto questo hotel durante la ricerca di una struttura la vigilia di ferragosto che non avesse costi esorbitanti e che fosse vicino alle terme, la scelta è ricaduta su hotel Saturno, prezzo ottimo e soprattutto sono stato colpito dalle recensioni positive. Siamo stati accolti dal sig. Frizzi con gentilezza e professionalità, l'albergo dista 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione autobus e davanti la struttura si trova facilmente parcheggio, le terme Tehia sono a circa 3 km. La stanza molto pulita con arredo anni 70 originale in buono stato e funzionale, letto molto comodo, bagno pulitissimo, ampia doccia senza problemi ai rubinetti, asciugamani e teli puliti e morbidi, non è presente aria condizionata ma al soffitto c'è la ventilazione a pale, silenziosa ed efficiente. Colazione servita in una saletta confortevole, a disposizione c'era una varietà di dolci fatti in casa, torte, crostate, ciambelloni e biscotti, il gestore segue la colazione preparando cappuccini e caffè etc... Lo consigliamo in quanto è una struttura ben organizzata e pulita, ben posizionata, anche se non è una struttura innovativa e all'ultima moda, ideale per soggiorni alle terme e per fare escursioni in Val d'Orcia.

We stayed in room 23 – this one had a separate sitting area, and was lovely – large and spacious. It was very clean and the bed linens were nice. There’s a small fridge and safe in the room. The TV in the sitting area could be a bit bigger, and the wifi needs an upgrade, but otherwise, it was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and well-equipped, although the lighting could be brighter. Breakfast was very good: eggs, cold cuts, cheese, selection of cereal, toast, jams, pancakes (some days), croissants and other baked goods, juice, and of course coffee. We also had dinner here 4 out of 5 nights – very good, but pricey. It was nice to not have to drive somewhere else for dinner. The staff are amazing here – very professional and helpful. The pool area was lovely – lots of chairs and umbrellas available, and the pool itself was clean. Even though the days were warm, the water was too cold for swimming in October 😊 The whole complex is beautiful and we could see ourselves staying here for a couple of months, wandering through vineyards and olive groves! If you have a chance to go, attend the vineyard tour and wine-tasting (it was done very well – low-key and about 1 hour, which was perfect). La Sovana is also well situated to visit many of the other notable towns in Tuscany and Umbria: Siena, Assisi, Orvieto, Montepulciano, etc. Overall, we loved this place and would go back for sure.

Struttura nel pieno centro storico di Pienza ricavata da un vecchio monastero, servizio e accoglienza al top, andrebbero solamente dotate le camere di qualche accessorio in più da 4 stelle (kit cortesia, ciabattine, accappatoio) ma per il resto veramente un posto incantevole. Piscina con vista mozzafiato, ristorante interno con servizio e cura del cliente ai massimi livelli (bravi a tutti i ragazzi e al titolare) anche se utilizzata solo per un aperitivo, colazione fantastica con tanti prodotti locali. Da ritornare assolutamente.

Great choice for touring Val D'Orcia. Stayed two nights here in April. This was our third visit to Pienza but our first overnight stay. Picked the Corsignano primarily because it offered free on-site parking and was only a short walk to the the old walled town. Delighted with our choice. It ticked all of the boxes. Friendly reception, nice (very) clean room with terrace, comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast, short walk to the beautiful old city and great restaurants. Free on-site parking was actually quite limited and was full when we arrived. The receptionist moved her own car to free up a space for us. No problem the second evening. The receptionist did inform us that due to government requirements for energy conservation we would need to call the desk to turn on the heat if we wanted it. We encountered this in other hotels also. We were very comfortable without it. Pienza is the ideal location for touring and enjoying the Val D'Orcia and the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. The views approaching Pienza from the south in the evening are stunning and unforgetable and the views from the Belvedere behind the Duomo are pure magic. The iconic winding cypress roadway at La Foce and the tiny Capella Vitaleta are just a short drive away - (the Capella is now open to the public down a 15 minute walk) Everywhere you look is a painting. Pure magic!!
