GGuest UserChiayi is a quiet town on the edge of alishan mountains, as such there are not many major shops and eateries around. South Urban is a luxurious hotel standing in the middle of the quiet town. The popular food and night market are within 15min walking distance from the hotel (there is u-bike stand just opposite the hotel, but there were no bikes available when we headed out in the evening).
The hotel staff were generally friendly, but there are not many amenities available to guests. There were only hair dryer and bedroom slippers available. The hotel did provide two bottles of water, and there is a water dispenser at the lobby if guests need more water.
Other tourist attractions within 20-30 minutes walk around are prison, Hiroki village, railway park.

YYUCHIThe room was comfortable and simply furnished. While the walls and ceiling showed a bit of age, they certainly didn't look dirty or run-down.
We stayed in a quad room (corner unit) this time, and the layout was quite peculiar. The bathroom was a triangular space, awkwardly fitted with a bathtub and an inward-opening door. It felt incredibly cramped for even one adult and one child to shower. To make matters worse, the door was right next to the showerhead, causing water to constantly spray out through the gaps during a shower. Definitely a poor design!
Overall, my impression was decent, and the cleanliness was average. However, considering the room and the price, it still offers good value for money.
The absolute highlight, in my opinion, is the fantastic location! They also have an affiliated parking lot.
On a side note, there's a Lin Family Fen Yuan (tapioca dessert shop) right next door, to the left of the hotel. It's incredibly chewy and delicious – highly recommended! 😍
The Wenhua Road Night Market is also a pleasant 8-10 minute walk down the alley diagonally opposite the hotel. 👍

GGuest UserThe double room has two large beds. The room is very clean and the bathroom has no odor. The room is very soundproof. Breakfast includes Chiayi-style beef shabu-shabu soup, turkey rice, fried dough sticks and almond tea, etc. It feels that the business owner manages the business with care and hopes that guests can have a different Chiayi experience.

SScott CaiThe hotel has a parking lot in front, making it very convenient for drivers. The check-in staff provided detailed explanations. The room was very clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, a TOTO bidet, and Italian Allegrini shampoo and body wash. The room light switches were touch-sensitive.
Breakfast was buffet-style, featuring local chicken rice, noodles, bread, ********* porridge, side dishes, hot dishes, fruit, and a coffee machine, perfect for early risers. Overall, the stay was excellent!

Ddisplay_name_We had a great stay at the hotel! The facilities were fantastic, with a fun foosball table, PlayStation, and an awesome breakfast and supper. The gatchapon and board game room were a unique touch that really added to the experience. The room itself was very comfortable, and I especially liked the AI assistant for added convenience.
The only downside was the location—it was a bit far from key attractions. While there was a bus stop nearby, we couldn't catch the bus due to a detour from ongoing construction or something. Despite this, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for a fun, comfortable stay!

We forgot a package at the hotel, and the staff were incredibly kind to us; they even shipped it to the last hotel where we'll be staying during our trip to Taiwan! AAom Krajibnoi• The location of the accommodation is very good, opposite Chiayi TRA, there is a U-Bike rental point.
• The accommodation has a check-in time of 13:00. There is no elevator. Fortunately, I got a room on the 2nd floor. The staff were kind enough to help carry my luggage up and down the stairs. I cannot leave my luggage. Check-out before noon is considered okay.
• The room is a good size. I can open a 29-inch suitcase. There is a hair dryer. The bathtub allows me to turn on the warm water to soak my feet. The shampoo smells great. But there is no air conditioning to adjust the room. It is very hot. Fortunately, there is a small fan to help. The room is not soundproof.
