My recent stay at this hotel was generally unsatisfactory. While the rooms are spacious, the facilities are outdated. The hotel does not provide complimentary water - instead, they charge $6 for a 500ml bottle. The air conditioning wasn't turned on before check-in, showing a lack of preparation. The front desk is severely understaffed with only one employee, resulting in queues every time you need assistance. The service quality needs improvement - they don't provide basic room service such as delivering toothpaste to the room. Additionally, the elevators lack security access control, raising safety concerns. Particularly disappointing was when staff entered the room with such brief notice that I didn't even have time to respond on the check-out day. Considering the room rates, this hotel offers poor value for money. Apart from the generous room size, the overall experience falls short, and I cannot recommend staying here.

The location is great. The cleanliness of our room was fantastic. I asked for a luggage cart to be at the room at x and the front desk said I needed to call for the cart. Really? It took over 15 minutes for a bellhop to arrive at 6:45 in the morning. There is an additional $25 a day charge that is not disclosed at booking. The coffee costs more than Starbucks...? We bypassed getting our room cleaned for two days. On the 3rd it was never addressed. Staff said ... oops. It used to be THE hotel to stay at in Chicago. The last two nights teenagers were running around unsupervised and making noise until security was called. Probably not going back, so sad.

Besides the Riverwalk, convenient location, you may assess to the loop and magnificent miles by foot without and problem.

It was a lovely location, I really like that it's by the river. The room was immaculate, clean and spacious. I had a really wonderful stay, would definitely recommend Swissotel to my peers.

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff were not friendly and missed out one of my luggages when we passed them all the tab. The worst thing is the staff were so impolite and even accused it’s our fault. I didn’t understand why a proper decent hotel can treat the guest in such a poor manner. We were all in the city for marathon how come the staff was so hostile to the marathoner. It’s a true disappointment and I encouraged all future runners never ever go to this hotel.

No complimentary water in the room! Only plus factors are the kettle, which most of US hotels do not have, and view from fitness center at the 43rd floor. Room is dated, no my style.

According to the booking, filter and photos, it shows there is a pool at this location. THERE IS NOT A POOL HERE. We only booked this hotel for the amenities and view. Not finding out until we had checked in and inquired about pool hours we were too late to cancel our hotel. So just wasted a night and money on a place I would have never stayed at. We did not have a pool and according to trip booking parking showed for $78 but was more when we arrived. I’m not happy

Good location, near tourist attractions, good views recommend here I’ll definitely visit this hotel again and close to Trump building you can walk to there around 5 minutes I love this place so much and I miss Chicago so much too

On the first two nights of our stay, some ***** couple was yelling arguing at 3am. We heard an occupant in another room banging the wall to warn them, but we were too tired to do anything. Thankfully the ****** left on our third day. Point: sound insulation not ideal...

Swissotel is awesome! The service was great and friendly staff. I especially appreciated Kia that works at the hotel. I was celebrating my birthday and she had something special sent to my room (a card and a fruit tray). She made my day - Thank you Kia! I would most definitely recommend this hotel! The amenities are amazing and the view is the best! I saw reviews stating there are no robes and no one came to clean and I can definitely disagree. There was a robe in the front closet and not only did someone come to clean but they provided us with warm towels! Best service and friendly staff!
