Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge

My stay at Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge was highly enjoyable. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and well looked after throughout my visit. The lodge is well-located with great views, and the accommodations are high quality. A special mention goes to my guide, Ran, whose expertise and professionalism made the safari drives very rewarding. The staff was attentive and the overall experience was excellent. I would also like to thank the manager, Rose, who was incredibly helpful and ensured my onward travel to the next location went smoothly. Highly recommended for a trip to Botswana. We had a heartwarming time at Ghoha Hills! Everything was very memorable, from the welcome, the kind staff, beautiful dinners, exciting game drives with Kennedy, lovely massage, the refreshing pool, wonderful bedrooms… the camlfire at night and all the wildlife!

Had the most fabulous time in beautiful Ghoha Hills. The tents are simple but have everything (including shoe polish!), enormous beds and the views are stunning. Chobe as far as the eye can see. As it was rainy season few animals came to the water hole but it made our game drives far more exciting and we felt like real explorers. In Ran’s very capable hands we had close encounters with every animal we hoped to see, including a thrilling eye-to-eye with a young leopard. Ran is incredibly knowledgeable not just about the animals but the extraordinary number of beautiful birds and the plants. All the staff - Papi, Florence, Consilia are names that spring to mind- were so, so welcoming and generous and looked after us amazingly. The food is in constant supply and was really fabulous. A jar of cookies sat on the side to help yourself in case you were hungry. Fabulous memories were made, my top ones being wild dogs, francolins, the smell of wild basil, the ancient baobabs, an elephant roadblock at sunset with a teenager showing off his football skills with a rock, our clumsy leopard falling out of a tree and our beautiful last night when all the staff came out to sing around the fire in the boma. So special.

This lodge is top. Good location, excellant staff and very nice food. The manager , the driver and the kitchen staff is cmvery good, hostile and professional. We lived it, only one night but got very much help and support in finding the way out in bad wheather during rain season. Loved it!

We stayed here for two nights and had a great time. We have a couple of private game drives with Kennedy who was very knowledgeable about the area and all of the wildlife. The lodge itself is in a lovely location in the hills overlooking its own private watering hole which can be viewed from above from the lodge. But they also do the evening game drives in the local area which meant this was a highlight with gorgeous sunsets and sun-downers provided. The only downside to its location was the slightly long and bumpy 45-60 minute ride to the main game areas. The lodge itself and room were well kept, and the staff exceptionally friendly with some excellent food on offer with a "home cooked" feeling.

An excellent trip. We spent 2 days at Ghoha Hills. The wildlife, as shown by a well-versed guide in a land cruiser for the two of us, was great, and nothing was lacking in terms of the accomodations and food. Highly recommended. The view from on high was spectacular.

A most exquisite camp with a perfect location. Knowledgeable guides and wonderful staff. A safari location one will not forget. Wildlife and scenery that are the most beautiful and unforgettable. A gem in Botswana! We were spoiled with the most wonderful food.

We stayed 2 nights at Ghoha lodge as part of our safari itinerary which consisted of 4 lodges in Botswana. This was preceded by 3 nights in Cape Town and 2 nights in Victoria Falls. The stay at Ghoha Lodge was exceptional. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The accommodation excellent. We participated in 4 safari drives under the expert care of our guide Bafana, who was brilliant. We saw elephants, lions, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, gnu, an array of exotic birds, jackals, antelope, deer, lizards etc. The food was very good and there was unlimited alcohol. The staff were all brilliant and even sang for us around the Boma (fire pit). The sundowners were memorable with amazing sunsets. Little evidence of mosquitoes and other insects. (Their winter and very dry). Pleasant temperatures during the day but cold first thing in the morning. Water bottles supplied. Thoroughly recommended.

An adventure of a lifetime! Edwin and his staff were absolutely amazing and we enjoyed the safari’s and having wildlife so close to us! Felt extremely safe with our guide Kennedy! The meals were very good and served by excellent staff! Also a wonderful massage after a morning safari!!!!! All in all it is a definite ten! Thanks Edwin!!!! Donna and Klaus Vernon BC Canada
