Xia Xiyou River View Inn (Chongqing Jiefangbei Chaotianmen)

We found the following: POSITIVE -the PRICE is unbeatable for this area of Chongqing; -big bed, extremly comfortable and bed sheets impecable; -2 metro station at approximatelly 500 m away; -the residence is quite EASY to get if you come from the front, near the river(we got from the back and it was more of a maze hunt to get to the location) -the owner very HELPFUL and helped us with the luggage and gave us hints on where to go to see the drone show, although we got inside the property only at 3 o'clock and we were a bit tired; -The VIEW from the room is excellent although the outer glas has stains; -the BIG SCREEN and overhead projector make movies at night a great time, although serials and movies are pay per view after first episode. NEGATIVE - the plugs do not fit european and usb chargers.We had to go out and buy an addapter in order to charge the phones. -batteries were missing from one of the remotes ( yet we got creative and used the one from the air conditioning). -the apparment has been deffinetly renovated a few years ago but it is in need of some TLC. A few cracks in the paint, a bit of mold near the sink (the one that needs heavy cleaning not just mopping), the smoke detectors are hanging from the ceiling a bit. So if you are looking for something cheap with a great view, comforatble bed and do not mind a toilet in the shower, and a bit of chipped paint I RECOMMEND this location for you. IF you do pay attention to details and clean everything is important to you than better look elsewhere.

The room was amazing, clean, and the view was especially great. It is definitely a great value for the price! And the staff was very friendly and helpful, easy to reach and fast to answer. Would highly recommend!!

Nice set of apartments in very high building. I recommend lower floor due to slow elevators. Good location for transport to train or airport. Very nice host. Building and apartment a bit old, but price reflect it. Not easy to find

the view is very nice, although the building and the floor is old and kind of creepy but the room was nice, I can hear the people next room talking but the view is worth it
