Hotel berhampiran Bar Horizon Hostel, Chumphon

Stopped by at hopinn chumphon for 1 night when driving down south. Sufficient parking space. Great security as keycard is required to enter the premises. The room was clean and hygiene. Shower is hot with water pressure. Soap and shampoo is provided. However, there is no toothbrush and toothpaste. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the highway. 7-11 and some local food store are within walking distance. The price is great for the offering. Very satisfied with the stay and recommend to all travellers if they need to stop by on the way to south Thailand.

We arrived around 10am requesting an early check-in, and the receptionist graciously found us a room. We opted for the deluxe king which turned out to be a corner room, giving us an extra window, which was nice. The downside was that the TV, normally placed where the window was, is now displaced into the corner of the room and smaller than the others. Only Thai speaking channels. The square balcony is nice, with a solid timber table and chair. The room is quite bright, but the bathroom is dark, even with the light on. The king bed is in one piece and comfortable but only one pillow each. The lift is small and very slow (we were on the 5th floor). Breakfast is on the top floor and is pretty ordinary, cutlery is the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere, which I always think, is often an indicator of the quality of the food. The location is good, in the centre of town but set back from the busy street. There is a 7/11 across the road and a Big C a few doors down. The main shopping mall of the town is 5 minutes walk and has a cinema complex, Starbucks and MC restaurant. This mid-range hotel is perfectly adequate for one nights stay but it’s definitely not stand out. I’m giving it four stars.

Making our way down the coast, we decided to stay here for 3 nights after a train trip from Hua Hin. This hotel seemed the best located not far from the town, about 10 min walk actually although they offer complimentary bycles which we used a couple of times as well as hired a scooter for a day. 7eleven not far at all. Hotel setting was lovely actually creating a somewhat jungle feel. Pool was a good size and clean. Cafe on site was really quant with pretty good coffee. We are vegetarian and also do not eat onion and garlic and they were able to adjust some items on the menu for us and must say we're delicious. We ate here every night. The pricing is not expensive and reasonably priced as well as beers and drinks. Breakfast is provided here. Its fairly basic but enough variety of Western and Asian. How much can yiu eat anyway. We booked the cheapest standard room. It was Standard but pretty good and clean for the price inclusive of breakfast. Lets say, compared to some Motels back in Australia, it was way better and way cheaper. The only cons was these rooms did not have in room safe, the bed a little hard, only thai channels on tv and no coffee and tea provided, only kettle and cups. We didn't ask for any though as we had our own. Rooms above looked bigger as they have a balcony and they have Villas that looked really nice. The town is about 30 minute drive to the ferry pier. We are glad that we didn't book accommodation close to the pier as that area looked a bit distant from anything. The staff were really lovely and very helpful even booking our ferry tickets at no extra charge. I am pretty sure you are able to book other tours ect.. if you needed. In a nutshell, it was a pleasant, clean, convenient and cheap place fir a stopover or short stay.

Cet hôtel placé en centre ville près du marché de nuit est très accueillant et agréable. Son prix à 550 Baths est très attractif, avec petit-déjeuner compris. Cependant ce petit-déjeuner est essentiellement orienté thaï, c'est-à-dire que vous aurez soupe de riz, un peu de viande de porc ou poisson, œuf dur, pas vraiment un ptdej farang. Pas de toast, beurre, confiture, ou jus d'orange. Juste café ou thé en boisson chaude. Sinon les chambres sont correctement meublées et très propres, avec climatisation, frigo, TV écran plat, excellent Wi-Fi. Le personnel est très cordial et essaye de répondre à vos attentes. Parking gratuit. Par contre, moi qui ne peut dormir lorsqu'il y a de la lumière dans la chambre, j'étais réveillé dès 6h30 du matin car les rideaux de la porte-fenêtre ne sont pas occultant; de plus, nous étions côté Est. Un doublage des rideaux pour occulter la lumière serait souhaitable.

Pros Big and new room Good bed and pillow Good shower Location is somewhat near downtown but you will need a car to go around Cons Room isnt sound proof , you hear everything except speaking that neighbor rooms do walk,shower,move the chair,close the doors etc at left , right , upper room Room has some leaks,its rainy season and 20 to 30 moths flew into my room after midnight as i left light on in bathroom.I called frontdesk to deal with it but there was no action from them but said i should turn off the light.I had to try find all leaks in the room and sealed it and clean it as it died in bathroom I repeat 20 to 30 moths was fying around in the room I slept late because i had to deal with those flying moth and i woke up too early after only 4 hours because sounds i heard from all neighbours room If you afraid of bugs and a light sleeper do not come here

I have stayed at the Talaysai Hotel on and off for 11 weeks over the last 4 months. I have had four different rooms and all of them have been spacious, modern, newly decorated in bright and pleasant colours, and they have all been spotlessly clean. Mrs. Lek, the owner and manager, goes out of her way to make you feel at home and has been a reliable source of knowledge and assistance every time I needed anything or there was something I did not understand, which was quite often 😊 . All of the staff are friendly, positive, and helpful. An extra bonus staying here is the wonderful buffet breakfast every morning, consisting of a wide variation of Thai and Western ingredients and choices. Thung Wua Laen Beach is a beautiful little village and the beach itself is over 2,5 km long and is one of the nicest I have seen in my 35 years of travelling to Thailand. The place is quiet and hassle-free. If you are looking for a place to get away from Thailand’s mass tourism hot-spots and just relax and breath, this would be an excellent choice. I have not left yet but am already mentally starting to miss it and the people. I will be back again in November.

The room is very clean and impressive on this hotel. It’s look new & good than photo in media. I will repeat booking & come again.

Only stayed one night waiting to go to Ko Tao. There were only two pillows provided on a queen bed so I asked for a third pillow and was met with “we don’t have any more pillows”. Well for a good size hotel I didn’t buy that for a minute. They opened a room next to the front desk to show me they didn’t have any pillows, I guess they thought I was am *****. I knew the hotel was far from full so I suggested they could use one from an unused room. Well at the end of the day they found one for me to use. The pool was nice and relaxing. We had dinner in the lounge that was surprisingly good. I can’t say the same for the breakfast. Cold eggs and no bacon. It’s not horrible but just not as good as I have been getting the last few weeks. Also no electrical outlets on either side of the bed. Strange I would say.

Seperti lokasi hotel tepat di sebelah Pantai Thung Wua Laen. Di sepanjang pemandangan yang indah, di seberang jalan menuju pantai berpasir yang panjang. Biliknya bagus dan luas. Suasana tenang Meja depannya bagus dan mesra. Jadi tempah satu malam lagi. Secara keseluruhan, saya sangat kagum. Saya cadangkan tinggal. Baru-baru ini, harga telah banyak dikurangkan. Tiga dari kita telah datang, dan setiap orang akan menurunkan 600 baht. Walau bagaimanapun, semasa wabak ini, hotel tidak akan menyediakan sarapan pagi kepada anda.
