This beautiful resort is fabulous!! The welcome from reception was fantastic, and then when I opened the door to my apartment, it was fantastic!! Spacious, clean and bright, I had even been upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. The iconic is worth every cent and the location is so close to the beach, sensational restaurants and cafes. I will definitely be back!!!

Our check in was on a Saturday. Reception is not manned for weekend check ins - received a text with a code to the key safe at the front door which contained envelopes for guests checking in. The envelopes contained two sets of keys and fobs, plus instructions for parking and access.
After parking the car we made our way to our unit on the fifth floor, using the fob. In the unit, was a well appointed kitchen, living room with dining table and chairs, lounge chairs and large screen TV. The bedroom had a king size bed and side tables, a two door wardrobe, and a small adjoining ensuite.
The location of the Meridian Tower was excellent - across the road from the beach, and close to several restaurants and cafes.

Love this hotel. Situated close to everything. Quiet as tucked away in the corner. Clean & tidy. Professional, friendly staff who are very helpful & can’t do enough for you. This year we had two of our sons and their families stay for 7 nights (children aged 9, 4 & 2). My husband and I stayed for 14 nights. This is our 4th year in a row - 1 at Iconic Kirra and 3 at X-Kirra. We had 3 beachfront 2 bedroom apartments. The apartments are clean, bright, with everything we need, plus great balconies overlooking the park and beach. The - park and playground across the road, beach just beyond that area, quietness of Kirra, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, hotels and easy boardwalk to Coolangatta suit us perfectly. Wonderful and precious family time. We have already booked 3 apartments for next year. Can’t wait!!

We loved our night in the Artist Suite, It is very retro, loved the decor including the pinball machine and the flamingo bathrobes. We stayed on a Friday night so the music from the bar downstairs was loud. We knew that would be the case so we were ready to dance the night away in our suite...and we did. If you don’t want the noise don’t book this suite, but if you want to have some fun and don’t mind some music until midnight-ish i highly recommend it. (Music was blues/rock). Good recommendations were provided for the local area and the breakfast menu provided for in room service (from a local cafe) is great. The rooftop bar is available even when it isn’t open for service for guests to hang out overlooking the beach. Beds were comfortable, staff friendly, and the whole place has a fun vibe. Highly recommended.

Excellent throughout. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and everything was as described. We had a well presented room that was clean, tidy and well equipped. The Pool area was great and kept spotlesssly clean with well manicured gardens. Will definitely stay here again. If you are thinking of Coolangatta as a destination put this Hotel on your list

I had a lovely stay here. Room was very nice, I was on the 1st floor and even though it was a low floor I still had views of the ocean. I imagine higher floor rooms would gave great views. Room had a balcony with table and chairs. Also a small kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and some plates/cutlery. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast buffet was very nice and staff at breakfast were particularly lovely. Location excellent, just across the road from the beach. Plenty of good restaurants nearby If we come back to the area I’d definitely stay again

Yyangduoduo17Hazard angle is an interesting place. Beautiful seas, and one step away can change your jet lag is just the fascinating place. This is the boundary between Queensland and New South Wales. Just crossing the boundary, it will take one or less hour. The sea is also different from the Gold Coast, showing the coastline of fine sand and reefs. Whether driving by or traveling on vacation, it is worth exploring! Especially peeking at the mysterious changes in time
Snapper Rocks
多多多I always parked my car at the dangerous corner near Captain Cook’s lighthouse and never needed to go too far. The views here are amazing, the southern Tweed Estuary, Flagstaff Beach and beyond. I saw whales here at specific times of the year. Then I went through all the information of Centuar Remembrance Walk, enjoyed the view of the north and the trout rock, walked to Froggy beach where the green frogs were on the rock, I watched people in the artificial pool, the waves covered the pool and then retreated (depending on the tide and the swell - great), Watch the surfers at the squid rock and avoid the steps on the sidewalk. It's a great way to spend time.
Greenmount Beach

From her beautiful five minutes down the flat path overlooking the sea and surrounding the green hills, she walked to Rainbow Bay Beach, another perfectly safe family beach. Follow the beach from here to the salmon rock. If you feel it, climb up the mountain to the dangerous observation deck. It's spectacular!
Kirra Beach
Yyangduoduo17Another beautiful beach on the Gold Coast, but with their unique scenery and charm. The beach is more local, and the never-ending waves form a sandbar to protect the swimmers. It's quiet here, not developed as some of its neighbors have.

Ppxy0705Gold Coast skydiving is definitely the most worthwhile extreme project here, with professional coaches and photographers accompanying you to skydiving is quite safe. When the whole person jumped from the cabin of the plane, the whole person lost gravity, flying in the air like a bird, that feeling is really wonderful, and the current beauty is panoramic, there is really a very proud feeling.

Surprisingly, as soon as I arrived at the observation deck, the man next to me pointed to the distance and said there were whales. I have never tried to see whales on the shore.
