We originally booked into the Novotel on a premium king room rate paying $319 to include breakfast. This was booked incorrectly due to some glitch in their booking system - which meant I couldn’t stay there at the time I wanted to and I was given a credit to use at another time. We used this credit last night and when checking in we were told we could park downstairs. No mention anywhere of cost. We went to our room and upon showering at around 11:30 - our shower was blocked and wouldn’t drain. We had to call front desk and at midnight nearly had to change rooms so we could shower. Came down in the mornign to have our buffet breakfast that we paid for - and we’re told that we weren’t on the list and couldn’t have breakfast without paying again. Off to reception and point out that not only did we actually already pay for breakfast in our original booking but pointed out that we have paid $319 for our room and right now on the website you can pay $310 for the same room WITH breakfast included. The manager Teresa was extremely unhelpful and told us that there’s nothing to be done about it. We would have to just wait to talk to reservation team in an hour. We decided to check out and leave. Still nothing mentioned about parking and yet when I go to exit the car park I was asked to pay $25 to validate parking! Absolutely unacceptable service. We should have been comped breakfast straight away as ANY one can see we clearly paid a rate that matches breakfast and it’s not OUR fault that Novotel lost track of it and didn’t book the follow up room properly. I travel for work multiple times a month and I will never recommend a Novotel again for either business or personal use.

I've stayed here a few times before as its convenient location to where im going. I usually stay for 12-14hrs as its an overnight stay between transit, so I've never used any facilities. The rooms are always clean & usually quiet if people are considerate & not being noisy.

Close to the airport, easy to find. Had no trouble with train noises once asleep. Room was clean as well as the bathroom. On the negative and really not that big a deal is that the undercover parking is limited and spaces not very big. Also Watch the bottom step in the dark. Miss stepped going down at 4.30am as I didn't see the bottom step and landed on my knees. Could do with a bit more lighting at the bottom of the stair.

I felt like I landed on another planet at this place. I arrived just before 7:30pm and the woman at the front desk could not have been more lovely and helpful. Unfortunately my room (1) was quite musty and the smell really unpleasant, so I opened the window to air it out a bit, but then got cold so closed it. It was then that I realised that though the bed was nicely made, for some reason it was made without a blanket. I found the blanket in the cupboard, but the cupboard was so mouldy, I was afraid to touch the blanket. Luckily I just happened to be traveling with my hot water bottle, so I used that and one of the towels on the bed to keep me warm. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus, very clean and tidy but it was in the breakfast room that I realised that every single person there was male. They all seemed to kind of know each other as well, so I wondered if it was maybe a halfway house? I couldn't figure it out. Even so, they all seemed pleasant enough, though I felt a bit out of place. Like I was intruding on something and didn't belong there. In the end, though I'm quite simple in my needs, it was a bizarre experience that I don't think I need to re-live. Oh yes, I will mention that the shared toilets were spotless. And the building that they advertise is not the building I stayed in, so that also added to things not quite making sense. I had landed in the Twilight Zone!

Close to the airport and wonderful for an early morning flight, the hosts are very lovely and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, everything was in working order. To be honest the air con was great on a hot day, and close to some to shops.

Room 13 - yea shall I say no more room 13 and it’s not great!! Bad points- No manned reception, was advised 3 hours before arrival must precheck in or will be denied a room after I fully paid for all rooms are pin only. I don’t have a problem great idea. The beds are one of the worst I’ve ever slept in. I travel to some of the worst places and there are beds better then these the main bed springs felt like they were breaking through the bed every turn was the noisiest would wake everyone in the room. The mattress felt over 30 years old worn and like you would fall through it. Great grandmas mattress is better The single bed was better but 4 people can sleep in one comfortable bed No extra pillows or blankets The floor had not been vacuumed all stuff in one area of the floor - room smelt clean (spritz spray) Dust everywhere, bugs in the room and holes in the bath towels. Mould in the shower all over the door The bathroom door had to be opened and closed with force Curtains have marks all over them not clean Aircon was particularly broken more cosmetic looks, chilled amazingly The room is right next to a main door everyone that comes in or out - slams the door all hours No soft closing hinge would be good if there was one wouldn’t be woken up with the slam every-time no Foxtel - no one made up your room like other motels the next day (no big deal just an fyi) When I arrived I had a toddler, child and 2 large bags and asked if there was lifts the staff lol and said the stairs are there and stayed sitting on the ground. I walked up the exit car park ramp with all bags and children ( no I’m not precious just not convenient) Holes in the wall in the main room near dining table Holes in walls in the bathroom Good points…. Great price Great location walking distance to Hamilton precinct IGA, Woolworths metro, lots of eateries and Eat St (amazing place of all types of food vans) Great distance walking distance to the ferries Out dates Furniture looked like it was from the 1970s (I don’t have an issue just an FYI) A little bar fridge with separate freezer was amazingly cold I wouldn’t rate this place 3.5/4 stars maybe 2.5-3 disappointed but you get what you pay for. This is a great little motel! Extremely clean and the friendliest staff I have ever come across. It was a pleasure staying there. The front desk was informative, kind, and courteous. She knew the area and even walked outside with us to explain.

Handy location, close to airport and dining options close by. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfy beds, a little dated but currently receiving a reno/facelift.

The room was clean, breakfast was good. Coffee awful. Room too noisy for me. Good for a quick trip close to airport
