I booked at short notice and just managed to get an apartment. Family emergency! I was in Airlie on ” family business' and so appreciated meeting Pam (the owner?) and settling in quickly. I have always love the Mango House. It has such a positive, special ”tropical vibe” I've eyed off for the past 16 yrs on my countless visits there. My apartment was clean, comfortable and over-looked the pool. As a solo woman traveller, I loved it. It was very calming. Felt safe, accessible & quiet accommodation. Perfect for me.! Comfortable! I was confidently left to myself to ”get on with the business” !! It may not suit Sheraton Hotels 5 star travellers...nor those who want a butler!! However, being ex Sydney and appreciating the ”good things in life” it was perfect for me!!! Close enough to Airlie shops, good restaurants, beautiful walks.....really amazing!!! I'll be back as soon as I can!!!
After staying at Kipara in 2013, 2014 and 2015 a return in 2023 revealed that it is still an awesome place to stay at while spenind time in Airlie Beach. They have recently rearranged and refurbished the cabins and have still been working on the reception area to improve the feeling of being welcome even more. After the hosts Shirley and Bruce finally left it has now been to Laurence from Canada to turn this stay into an unforgettable experience, friendliness and helpfulness have been outstanding and I can only recommend this place should you ever plan a trip to Airlie !
Easy checkin even after hours, and very responsive via email. The location is a bit past town but there is a nice store and cafe about a 1.5 km walk down a busy highway. We didn’t do the walk so I can’t vouch for shoulder/sidewalk etc. Tons of families, and many quite loud. Cockatoos and kookaburras everywhere, also loud but very fun. Nice greenery around the park. Local tours do pickup here. Office hours are pretty short and unreliable. Major drawback - there’s one bathroom building for everyone (besides en suite or cabins), which happens to be a fairly long walk from the grass sites. However it was rarely busy even at peak morning shower time. Just a 2.5-3 minute walk from the back of the park. The grass sites are basically the camper’s dog’s toilets and there are fleas or some other small biting bug infesting the grass. Bring repellent and cover yourself, or avoid the grassy sites. Not the fault of the property, just a note. If I had it to do over again we’d book an en suite campsite - more private, with toilets. Overall, okay but not great if you’re child free and looking for a chill quiet spot.
We absolutely loved this place. To stay Monica on the desk was so helpful and is honestly a great asset to the holiday park! We stayed in the tropical villa which is so spacious and has aircon in each room. Within 10 minutes of us arriving me cancelled out next accommodation in Airlie Beach and booked another night at the reception desk in the villa. The pool was great and the bird feeding was very cool. This park would be incredible for family’s, but even us, as a group of friends loved it! The only downside was the walk to the centre of Airlie, it’s a good 20 minute walk in the heat, we chose to taxi to save ourselves. Overall it’s a beautiful holiday park , I would recommend to anybody coming to Airlie😊
Whitsunday Vista Resort If i can put -0 for a star i would. I wont recommend as its too much... we been given a 3nights stay at this hotel. I was static when i saw their website i was like yay looks nice. But no its a disaster . We got there starting to put our drinks in the fridge. ( the fridge is old) there a half eaten ice cream in the freezer. I was like ewww so i let that go. I sat down in the sofa and saw a socks i was like whattt so i let that go thats strikes 2. Then my little boy opening the door to the balcony and the flyscreendoor fell on me so i let that go thats 3rd strikes.and mind you the doors in the balcony dnt lock it broken. Then the toilet sits moves so if u do a business there your bum will slide off.. So we noticed the bedroom dont have aircon so i told Vin (my partner) that we sleep in the.lounge and use the sofa bed. guess what, we cant use the sofabed as its lock its has a padlock on it. So i told vin let see if we can move the mattress in the lounge. He took the sheets off there the mattress have a dry blood. We were like wat the .... so thats many complaint now. So we called the after hours and complaint it was 5:30 in the afternoon. The lady came and told her whats the complaint about. She got angry when she saw that we took the sheets off and she said that were not supposed to take the sheets off. So theres a tension there and she goes Youse can leave i will refund the money and say YOU DIDNT PAY FOR THIS YOUR FRIEND DID. (My 2kids was there can hear all shes saying). I was like it was given excuse me and We are not going anywhere at this time with 2 kids ( about 6pm).. so she left and came back to fix the sofa bed. So the next day i complaint more to whoever is there i was looking for the manager but not there... We end up going coz cnt stay anymore in that place. STAY AWAY WITH THIS ACCOMMODATION in Whitsunday its a DISASTER i dnt like how she talked it was so so RUDE. If i can only put more video about our complaint.

Good location within walking distance to everything you need - Restaurants, shopping, supermarket and Saturday local markets. There is even a Thai restaurant right next door. The driveway was a bit steep going up to reception but there is an alternative entry via the other towers lift which isn't as steep. Great views from balcony. 2 bedroom apartment was reasonable size with kitchen and laundry facilities. Only downside was only 1 bathroom. Staff were fabulous particularly Nicole who went above and beyond to assist us before arrival and during our stay. As Accor plus we received a nice gift on arrival of wine and some Sebel souvenir coasters and teddy bear. 🧸 Teddy Sebel is so cute and is planning on joining me on some future holidays. The Sebel pool was great to cool off and relax whilst overlooking the ocean. It also had a kids pool and spa. There was a gym and showers and toilets just down some stairs next to the pool. Gym looked good although I didn't use it. We all really enjoyed our mini break to The Sebel Whitsunday Airlie Beach and with reasonably priced transfers from the airport and with Bonza flights from the Sunshine Coast we plan to return again for a longer stay.
I really enjoyed my 9 night stay here recently. The balcony provided beautiful views, the self-contained apartment was clean and tidy and had everything I needed, including a washing machine and dryer. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to restaurants, the beach and shops. The bus is very close if you prefer not to walk. There is a steep hill to get up the driveway if you are without transport, but it was just part of my daily exercise routine. Not at all an issue for me but some may struggle if they don't have a car.
Whitsundays, Airlie Beach Excellent Above and Beyond I was part of a large women’s group that stayed at Colonial Palms Cannot express my gratitude and appreciation enough to the attention I received, lost an earring, late checkout, luggage stowed, unusual diet, local information, nothing was a concern for this lovely crew! Excellent service from breakfasts, dinner, great coffee, spotless accomodation, to offering to pickup a member of our group, who was stranded by Qantas at PPP airport! This motel isn’t your corporate, online computer generated business its the friendly, caring service from the people who own the motel. Definitely returning.
