If you are travelling to Shepparton, it is worth considering the staying at the Rodney Motor Inn, which is only a 5 minute drive from the Shepparton main shopping district. Rooms are spacious and clean, and it made my day that the friendly staff at receoption allowed an check in early. Motel has a nice pool and spa area, plus room has a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink and dishes. Across the road is Woolworths and next door is KFC. Very happy with the value for money provided.

This motel had all the basics you would expect. It was clean and well positioned in Shepparton. Now thing that just should not occur. 1) The tv is too low to watch in bed. So I placed it on top of the microwave. 2) I found the tv remote under the bed. 3) The bathroom door did not open once closed, it needs a knife to open it. 4) The fridge door top pin is about to let go 5) The screen door on the balcony has no locking catch 6) When I emailed the motel, I got back “ thanks, the maintenance guys are in tomorrow “ As my title says, this is my opinion. But regular maintenance must be part of the weekly regime

we enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect for our needs and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a little bright with different things flashing and double glazing on the window would be great given the fairly busy road that it is situated on. The amenities were more than adequate and the addition of an EV charger was very convenient.

Recently I was required to stay in Shepparton for work, I was delighted to find that there was a mid week price that rivalled the motel the company I work for usually engages with. For business reasons this hotel was better placed for my recent trip. Located across from Victoria Lake, it is very easy to locate. It is also walking distance to the eateries in town, however if you are overnighting the restaurant at the hotel is exquisite. Customer service was professional and welcoming. I arrived about 19:00 and left at 04:30 so I did not really get time to do more than sleep. The room is adequately appointed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. There is a huge chair in the corner of the room that was just wonderful to sink into to watch some television. Shower has amazing pressure and it was a good size. Parking is very reasonable and there is an exit onto the side street making it easy to get in and out of.

Posting this on behalf of our (senior) friends who travelled to Shepparton for a weekend catch up. “The Parklake was a disappointment. Our basin plug wouldn’t drain so we had to move rooms after I had already unpacked everything. No apology was forthcoming. The room was $195 for one night. My husband had lots of trips in the heat back and forth to reception trying to get them to empathise with our situation. He did ask to speak to the Manager but no one appeared. A person, maybe a Manager stayed behind a wall and messages were passed back and forth by a reception person. Incredibly, they did offer us to stay in our room and call a plumber for us the next day. I suppose they thought washing hands and cleaning teeth in the shower would be OK. Re the plumber it was a Friday evening and presumably they were more interested in avoiding a higher cost to them of weekend rates, than the inconvenience we were experiencing. Also there was a suggestion they could set us up at their pricier Quest apartments. We would have needed not just to pack the room we had with them but to load our car, drive there and unpack again. It was all very unpleasant.” Unfortunately their experience does not surprise me. We stopped going to the Parklake for meals because of the poor service and pretty average food. If we’d known they were booked into the hotel we would have warned them off.

We had a fantastic rest at the Bell Tower Motor Inn. Very affordable for our two night stay with great communication along the way by Sonny. The beds were super comfy, pillows and bedding were clean and cosy, the shower was strong and hot and it was well equipped with tea and coffee supplies, kettle, toaster, microwave and mini bar fridge. If you love exposed brick and a homely retro feel, I would happily recommend.

We arrived at Tudor house motel in the evening they said a booking no showed so the room was available..The man at reception told me no smoking inside & don't bring anymore people not a very pleasant welcome...at a glance the room seemed rundown but on further inspection the filth unfolded. Tobacco & debris on grubby carpet,mould & long brown hair in bathroom,pastry crumbs in Microwave,Cobwebs,running toilet water,pre contaminated toilet paper,damaged toilet seat... the list could definitely continue no doubt I decided to speak to management the following morning as it had been made clear I was checking in later than reception hours so I felt I'd already stretched their customer services 🙄 I rang after hours bell several times 8am following morning eventually the door opened I was abruptly told to return after 9am. Even though the door clearly said office hours were to start at 7.30am..I returned after 9am to this time a female manager who told me that the cleanliness was not a problem & indirectly called me a liar...I never wanted a cheap deal nor did I ask for it but it was extremely insulting to be fobbed off & treated as nothing & no body i wished I hadn't wasted my time or breath talking to this person.the manager refused to accompany me to the room to inspect & it was disappointing to experience such putrid customer service .... My motel booking went from dirty to discusted by the arrogance indecency of some people 🤨

In town for business, I needed just an overnight option. Customer service was friendly... weirdly friendly in a familiar type way. It's located on a Main Road. The rooms are average rooms. There is nothing stand out about the rooms and they are dated. Looking at the photos of the bathroom it appears discoloured but I do not recall feeling it was discoloured when I was there. I got an amazing nights sleep here... I was tired, but... even tired I have been unable to sleep in other motels recently. I went to bed, watched TV and only woke when the alarm went off. I also enjoyed how easy it was to locate. The grounds were very well maintained.
