Hotel terbaik di Chatelet

The first thing to say is - I'm not usually a Youth Hostel person so I'll give the Auberge de Jeunesse lots of credit here. Met by friendly receptionist who was helpful in telling me all the important information including the shuttle bus back to Charleroi Airport. The room I got was a ”Basic Single Room” - which was just a 2 bed dorm with Single occupancy. It did exactly what it said on the tin - it had a bed, toilet, shower, sink, plugs and table/chairs - just what was needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable despite having to do the pillowcase/bed sheets/duvet cover myself, but I guess that's a hostel thing! The one downside to my stay was the amount of noise from outside my room - which I believe was next to a shared area. Constant banging, whistling and cheering until about 12.30am led to not much sleep being had until then - luckily my flight home was in the afternoon, it would be awful if you had an early connection! Breakfast was offered and was a good continental offering, some hot food would have been nice but the breakfast I had was more than acceptable. For a grand total of €37 including breakfast, this place is extremely good value for money, but expect noise before you go to sleep! I would return if I was coming back to Charleroi.

Sono stato solo una notte però l'accoglienza è stata ottima. L'unica cosa, ma questo è un mio problema, è che le stanze non hanno aperture e per me che soffro di claustrofobia non poter avere aria diventa problematico.

Booked this hotel as our flight was cancelled and thought it would be best to spend the night in the city instead of the airport. It’s our own fault for booking this place I would t even give this hotel a 1 star it honestly is so bad. You can see it from the bus terminal and it looks really old and dirty from outside the reception looks old and dated but it doesn't look that dirty once you take the lift you notice how bad it really is. The carpets are all stained and then the rooms so our room was on the 4th floor I would go as far to say it’s the worse room I have ever stayed in. The air conditioning isn’t working. It’s so small the bed looks disgusting the sheets look clean. If we could afford to leave and get another room we would. Do not stay here you will honestly regret it. Stay somewhere else we panicked as our flight was cancelled and rushed to get a room for the night biggest mistake. Area around hotel is also very ropey looking lots off people just hanging outside

This motel exists to provide a service for overnighters after a late flight in or early flight out of Charlroi airport. It is a low cost no frills model but provides an excellent shuttle service to and from the airport(approximately 12 minutes away). Benjamin was very obliging in picking us up one evening and then dropping us early next morning. There is no food or bar available but the rooms are clean and beds comfortable. It was exactly what we wanted and at a reasonable price. Let them know at time of booking if you require a shuttle to airport. If you arrive early enough and are hungry I highly recommend Il Trullito italian restaurant about 22 mins walk from the hotel. Surprisingly given the location it is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten in, and we holidayed in Italy for years. Apparently there is another Italian restaurant in closer proximity but it was closed the Thursday we stayed.

The staff was professional, welcoming and helpful. However the room was not 25sqm as per description and the floor was not in wood/laminate. The carpet looked clean but did not have the best of smells. There was a strange stain around the WC although the bathroom it was clean and smelt fresh. Location n parking were good. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and with ample choice and staff polite, helpful and professional. We would say the room itself was probably e 1 or 2 (at a push) stars. We have been in a lot of IBIS and always satisfied, we would not return to this one because of the room standard. Maybe we should have asked to change room but at midnight did not want to make a fuss.

Siamo stati in questa struttura attirati dal fatto che viene dichiarato si trovi a 300 metri dall'aeroporto di Charleroi..purtroppo i 300 metri si sono rivelati qualche km ..circa 3 e mezzo...quindi e necessario utilizzare servizio navetta taxi o eventualmente avere un mezzo proprio per il quale almeno c'è un parcheggio gratuito. Detto questo gentilissimo il personale, carina la struttura ma ovviamente come ”appoggio”per la strada da e per l'aeroporto senza troppe aspettative.

Fantastic service at an amazing price. It's only 20 minutes walk from the airport, and there is a bus service nearby which will get you where you need to be. The buffet breakfast is great too, and all the staff were amazingly polite, chatty and friendly. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Belgium.
