This was an adequate hotel for a one-night stay that would allow us to easily get to the airport by 6 am. The receptionist ordered a van that did accommodate the bike box that we were using (oversize luggage) and arrived on time. We shared it with 4 airline staff members. The only problems we had were getting there. We came from the US and did not have online services except when we had access to wifi. The hotel told us ”You have the IC train to Zaventem and Brussels Airport Zaventem or you have the S train to Schaerbeek and Louvain for both trains you will have to step off at Diegem.” For timetables and tracks info, you can ask the staff at the station or check the display panels.” The IC train to Brussels Airport does not stop at Diegem. Luckily we noticed Diegem was not listed on the display panel at the track when the train was arriving and asked someone to verify before getting on that train. The hotel does not provide enough information to identify the specific train to take from central station in Brussels. There are trains leaving constantly from at least 7 tracks and the main display panels in the main part of the station telling you which track to go to list only the destinations, not the interim stops. it is vital to be able to identify the exact train you need. There are no paper timetables available, no wifi, no information desk to help, and the ticket line is extremely slow. I found the right train by standing in the ticket line and talking randomly in French and English about how there seemed to be no way to identify the train I needed to take. Another person in the ticket line volunteered to help by looking it up on his phone. This is something that is impossible without easy online access, and knowledge of how the train website works. The hotel needs to be able to tell people exactly which trains stop at Diegem. This seems like minimum courtesy for their guests. Getting from the train station to the hotel was also a problem. Google maps gave three different sets of instructions, which we obtained from two locals and using Google maps location services. None of them were correct, so the hotel needs to provide exact instructions to get to the hotel from the train station, including an exact map and street names. Again, this seems like minimum courtesy to guests.
I was surprised not to have a global lamp button close to the bed that switch off all the lamps at once. (room 303) I had to go to the door, close all the lamp, and return in my bed when all was dark. Very surprised in Marriott ! Normal hotels elswhere and a global switch near the bed.

Fabulous room, very quiet. Beautiful mattress, pillows. Bathtub and shower separate. Be aware shuttle bus is limited in hours see the picture below. Delicious breakfast huge range. Book in room or pay 24 euro extra.
In my experience hotels such as the Holiday Inn Airport Brussels are few and far between. They were prompt, efficient, had answers to all our questions, and catered to our whims. The lobby/main floor caters to the comforts of their guests with a lounge area, bar area, restaurant area, and an outdoor area. The breakfast and dinner was superb (I had the salmon for dinner). Perhaps an improvement could be made to the three slight level differences in the room as it would be safer for those who are a bit wobbly on their feet.
Excellent service, specially from the front desk! Clean! Had a greta sleep. I missed my flight and hotel was just want I need at the time. I recommend this hotel to anyone who need to be close to the airport
Free shuttle is the key service I'm attracted to. But the shuttle missed 1 timing and we waited for an hour. Pls remember to contact hotel in advance for shuttle. Hotel is good and clean. If without shuttle, need to take train and it's just across the station.
Got a taxi from the airport cost 15€ little hotel on a complex with other hotels inside the hotel was quite dark however it was the right kind of ambience check in was quick and easy we had room 105 on the 1st floor lift works fine room was small but did is for the 2 nights bed was comfy although I would have liked a spare pillow left in the room or 2 on the bed and a blanket air con worked great small room but if u leave air con on it gets cold so another cover would have been great telly works great and plenty to choose from the hotel is like on an industrial estate so there isn’t any restaurants or anything around lovely seating area outside bit dark could do with some lighting Breakfast good selection of cold food tea/coffee exactly for what we needed for the short amount of time that we were there the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t offer an airport shuttle which would’ve been handy however we got a taxi back to the airport which cost €12. I would stay in the hotel again yes I would just purely the fact of the location that it was located in however I would now know that if I want to get dinner, I would need to go and get something either in Brussels itself NATO wasn’t that far although it was a good half hour walk not really worth seeing but because it’s NATO, it was worth seeing Would be nice to have had a safe there isn’t really wardrobe just two hangers and that’s about it. The bathroom itself was adequate little bit small it was just a shower. The pressure was good and the water temperature was good. Unfortunately our light in the bathroom didn’t work, so our bathroom looks darker and it should’ve been We caught the train from diegem and cost 5€ rtn to Brussels central as it was cheaper to do a weekend ticket according to the machine We had a look around Brussels but not a lot to see so decided to catch the train bruges price was 18.40€ rtn roughly about an hour on the train
Location is great, service is very good too. The hotel, despite being quite new, already shows signs of wear and tear. One of the lifts was not working during my stay and I found the soap container in the bathroom on the floor (it had fallen off the wall). A bit of attention to detail and this place will be unbeatable for a quick stop in Brussels. I'd book it again.
