LLeanneHotel was very nice and clean. Pool and hot tub were also very well maintained. First day for breakfast was decent and server was nice but on the second morning item spots changed and when you asked the server on that day this one wasn’t very friendly and it seemed like an inconvenience to ask for anything. Everything else about this hotel was great and we would book again

I don’t give 5/5 often, but this hotel deserves it. Not because it’s especially luxurious, but because it’s just as nice as its competition which charges much more per night. The room was spotless and reasonably modern. Bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. Breakfast was good. What more do you need, at a very reasonable price? Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Sudbury.

MMimiI got bed bugs bite after the stay. It’s unfortunate but I feel like during my business travels, unless I am booking premium higher end hotels where it is at least $130-$150+ per night, there is about 20-30% chance that I wake up with bites.. i can never see them and everything always appears ok but you find out after the fact, a day or two later. My biggest question to hotels are do you guys wash ALL bed sheets, fitted sheets, pillow cases, blankets, covers etc after every single stay? I can probably bet my next paycheque that I wouldnt be surprised if that’s not the case with most lower end hotels and it’s quite alarming…

PPengguna TetamuGood hotel for accessing medical appointments. New carpeting in rooms. Door to room did not close properly though. Perkins restaurant was overpriced and not very good. I’d stay again for another medical appointment but likely not for recreational travel.

PPengguna TetamuMy son and I stayed at this Super 8 on the second night of our cross-Canada trip. Having left Central Alberta on Friday morning, we arrived at the Sudbury Super 8 late on Saturday evening after our second full day of driving. We were ready to go straight to sleep. At some point after we went to sleep, but before we woke up around 6am, the door opened and someone turned on the lights!!! The front desk gentleman had also assigned our room to a new guest just checking in, and she came directly into our room while we slept. We woke as soon as the lights turned on, and the lady was likely as shocked as we were, and she apologized and immediately left, but the fact she was able to unlock our door and walk into our room is clearly not acceptable. The next morning when we checked out, we complained to the gentleman at the front desk, who indicated that he was the one who assigned the room to the lady who had come in... but the part I was not at all happy with (not that I was happy with any of it) was that he did not seem very bothered by the fact he had given access to our room to another guest! Clearly this is NOT acceptable for a hotel! There were a couple other incidents that I could also include, but I think the anecdote above is enough reason for me to indicate that I will not be staying at this hotel again, should I ever be passing through Sudbury again.

PPengguna Tetamulocation is so confused, parking is free and room was clean enough but refrigerator is too small. drawers were not fixing, it was getting open again and again by itself. will recommend 50 percent only,

MMathew AAt the first impression, I thought the area was sketchy but changed my mind and decided to stay as was looking to stay nearby work place. The hotel staff were very courteous, helpful, polite, and the rooms was with all amenities as well very clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was satisfied and good with morning start up.

PPengguna TetamuThis is more of a no tell motel. I booked this for my boyfriend, children and I. They billed our room hours in advance. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where they take your “deposit” as a means to bill you for the room. It was MORE than the room cost. Even GWL is half or so what the room costs. Then they don’t bill you for the room (that part I was ok with afterwards). The “breakfast nook” in the lobby is 90% out of service. What they do offer for breakfast is literally a brown bag lunch. I didn’t even bother looking at what was offered, as they were all literally in brown paper bags. Nothing was laid out so you had a choice to see what was there. It’s like it was a homeless shelter. Like I said in the title - no tell motel. The whole building is only 2 floors so there is no elevator you have to carry everything upstairs if you’re on the second floor, the door to which isn’t easy to do and if you have children with you it either means carting them up and down with you on stairs or leaving them alone in the hotel room. The one stair case smelled like urine and a musky basemen. Our room had 2 sticky spots on the carpet, holes in the screen, the room REEKED of cigarette smoke they tried to mask with a glade plug in (speaking Erin someone else who rented a room theirs did as well but they only got spray in their room, they were below us), there was cereal under the one desk, and a massive chunk of hair in the bathroom behind the door! If you’re wondering my hair is purple not black, my children have blonde hair. The beds were doubles, and were the shortest doubles I’ve ever slept on in my life, I’m 5’8” and when I stretched out my feet they were off the bed. When I mentioned these things to the desk they were Iike we can’t do anything about these because you booked through a third party booking site (it’s their PARENT SITE by the way, I just had a corporate discount). There is no excuse for lack of cleaning. The fact that most vehicles were gone by 630am just confirms this is likely a no-tell motel and not a hotel. I’d never stay there again. Next time we go to Sudbury to see Science North and Dynamic north we will pay a bit more for a proper hotel Vs a dive. The only thing I’ll give them is we didn’t get bed bugs.

PPengguna TetamuI don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to after my stay here. This is not a place to bring a family to with kids. We weren’t familiar with the area but upon arrival, we noticed that the “parking lot” (room for 6 cars) and general area around the hotel were full of people on drugs/homeless. We felt worried leaving our car there. The rooms are dated & in need of repairs, toilet seat was falling off & bathroom door wouldn’t lock. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was ok, the basics, nothing amazing. We noticed that there were a number of hotel guests that were members of the homeless community - which it’s great that they have somewhere to stay but we didn’t feel safe having our kids there. Lots of people strung out on drugs in the hallways and on the elevator. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Just wanted to warn people that this is not a good/safe are of town, which is unfortunate for people trying to run a hotel business because it isn’t their fault.
