Very modern, clean, spacious and lovely hotel. On the outskirts of town so not much close by for teens but there is a Boston Pizza that did a good job for us and also a Food Hall with three ethnic food options that looked great. Management got us a great price on our rooms and even upgraded us to suites! Our only disappointment was that the pool broke down and they had to wait over a day to get maintenance to fix it, which blew our plans for a final night pool party with no warning -- major bummer. Breakdowns are inevitable but having someone on call to come within a few hours is important, especially to groups and families who might have chosen the hotel for its pool.

We had an incredible visit in the morning played around of golf at your beautiful Carmen Course spent the day At Minnewasta Beach community resort . The super 8 Is wonderfully situated one minute walk to the wonderful beach so convenient. Capped off our evening with the Stardust Drive-in What a wonderful way to recapture the wonderful memories of your childhood Watch a movie outdoors on the big screen with popcorn Stardust next door to the super 8 …….Watch a wonderful drive-in movie and then Within 30 seconds you’re back in your room. Derek guest services at the super 8 it’s true Customer Service always helping me out with anything you need at the hotel. He’s very knowledgable about the area and always offers wonderful sightseeing sites to visit. The hotel is an incredible value the best in the area highly recommend it it also comes withComplementary continental breakfast downstairs in the main foyer . We absolutely loved our stay atThe Best Western Plus in Winkler! We stayed in a room that had a separate bedroom with a queen bed, two queen beds in another room, which also had a pull out couch. The room was very large, and it was perfect for all the groomsmen to come to to get ready for our sons wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast both mornings that we were there. The variety of foods included, waffles, fresh, bananas, fresh apples, yogurt, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, hashbrowns, farmer sausage, bacon and the list goes on. They also had a specialty coffee machine that made the most delicious cappuccinos, café, Americano’s, and espresso‘s!! The lady in charge of the breakfast went above and beyond! She truly cared for the people that she served and made it her privilege to ensure everyone that she came in contact with had what they needed. The breakfast rush was quite busy and she worked non-stop.We had friends staying with us who had a gluten allergy. They are used to going to a hotel that includes breakfast and having fruit because that is all that is available. They were absolutely thrilled to find out that they had a choice of gluten-free bread, gluten-free waffles, gluten-free muffins, and several other items to choose from.! This lady is a very valuable employee that I’m sure Best Western treasures! The front desk staff, especially on Saturday morning was extremely helpful. The girl working at the check-in. Desk was so kind to print out our son‘s vows and my husband and eyes speech. She took the time to enlarge the font, space it out and print out two copies for us! As well, she allowed our son to check in early to his hotel room that he and his bride would be spending their first night in together! On Sunday morning, my parents experienced some car trouble and we asked the front desk if we would be able to have a later check out. She was extremely accommodating and this allowed us to wait while my parents contacted CAA and made plans. This also allowed some family members along with the bride and groom to get together in one of the rooms to relive the beautiful wedding day we had had on Saturday! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and a large part of that was because of the “Home-base” we had in Winkler. All in all.m, if you are looking for a place to call home for a night or two, in Winkler, I would highly recommend ithat you choose The Best Western Plus!
