Hotel terbaik di Okotoks

Arrived late yesterday, on August 20th. Booked a junior suite, suitable for 4 people, we were 3 but during reservation we mistakely wrote that it was for 2 only .. Big Big mistake. While checking the pull out couch to sleep on, all we could feel was the springs. We went to the front desk to discuss possible solutions, maybe a different room, but as the front desk agent was looking for a different room, the manager at the back shouted ”Give them a cot”. We asked if we could look at another couch since the one in our room was extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for any sleep. We received this as a response that ”all the couches are the same”. One of us went back to the room to wait for the cot. After waiting 5 minutes they called the room to inform that it would be an extra $25 ... JOKE... We were confused to why we had to pay a fee to compensate for an uncomfortable bedding. We refused to pay so they found another excuse ”because of fire regulation it isn't possible to have an extra cot in the room”. Since there is only 2 of us on the booking, the hotel then made the assumption that we could just share the bed, after we said we needed the extra bed. So they'd rather have me sleep on the floor than on a cot.... I had to bring my air mattress and sleep on the floor since they did not want to help, they had no shame accepting it.. Not over yet. We thought nothing could get worse ... So the next morning we went to breakfast (which was surprisingly good compare to the general experience) but for some reason, housekeeping was vacuuming right behind us, cleaning the lobby, with a shop vac which is very powerful, noisy and dusty. I have been working in hotels for over 10 years now and this is the worse experience I ever had, despite all the complaints, nothing was done to help us during our stay, no compensation + made me sleep on a air mattress, on a floor where I paid a total of $150. Would not recommend to anyone unless management is changed.

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the south Calgary Health campus where I was having surgery. Parking was complimentary. It is a 3 minute walk away. We booked a one bedroom executive suite. I was disappointed with the check in process and the time it took to get to our room. When we arrived there was a lineup and only one person working. After about 10 minutes another person started working which helped but some check ins were taking an excessive amount of time. (I am a Marriott rewards member so I had tried to checkin online but wasn’t able to. I was told it was because I had not stayed there previously. ). About 20 minutes later we were checked in but were not given access to the room yet. We had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes. It was 7 pm —- and we were tired. We just wanted to get to the room but we had to sit in the lobby and wait. My impatience must have showed because eventually we were told that the carpets had been shampooed and they wanted to ensure they were dry before allowing us to our room. I’m not sure why our room wasn’t ready earlier. It’s not like we were trying to check in early. I had indicated on the app when we were arriving and it was actually after my estimated time. Finally we were given our keys. It was at least a half hour of wasted time The room was very nice — vaulted ceilings, 1.5 baths, electric window coverings, nice decor. No balcony though. There were 3 TVs which seemed a little excessive. The bar area was nice with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, dishes and coffee maker. The shampoo etc. in the bathrooms were nice but those ridiculous little bottles weren’t even full. The coffee maker did not work. The bed was too low. The ventilation system was noisy and woke me up in the night when it cut in. We ordered food from the restaurant downstairs and my husband had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. It was very good. Great workout room. We didn’t use the pool.

We are in Calgary every couple of months to see my sister's family. They have moved around so this was only the second time staying in the Seton area. A couple months earlier we stayed at the adjoining hotel (Courtyard) with no issues. This time how my folks were with us we decided to get a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence inn. They stayed there last time with no issues and loved it. I went to check in as everyone else grab the luggage and went to park. At first the man at the front counter was very nice and friendly. Then he asked for a vaccine passport which I did not have. His attitude changed towards me very fast. He just kept asking for it like it I was joking. I tried to nicely explain to him I didn't know I needed one to stay at this hotel. When I booked a month earlier there must have been no restrictions. He then continued to be rude about it. So I went and got my dad the only person in our room how was fully vaccinated. He then allowed my dad to check us all in. He then made it very clear that all 4 room keys would not work on the pool or anything else in the hotel and that my dad would have to suffer because of the rest of our decision. he made it very clear we were allowed to walk through the lobby wait for the elevator go to a room and exit the same. That is it!!! My dad was allowed to go great breakfast every morning but that was it. If you are going to have restrictions maybe you should call your our of province guests to let them know the rules. Honestly, we did not feel welcome the whole time from this hotel and we didn't want to sit in the lobby or go to the gym or pool. We were there for 6 days to see my sister's family. Thats it! From talking to my sister and checking government of Calgary's website (at the time) there was no mandate for hotels. On day 2 or 3 we started to notice signs were being put up about its the hotels choice to if they want unvaccinated guests and this hotel was asking for the passport or a PCR test. My lovely sister dropped off a welcome basket to be taken to the room hours before we arrived but they didn't bother. So we picked it up from the front desk. We went straight to our room, it was very nice a little tight and now many places for luggage but we made it work. There was a small kitchen but did have a fully fridge, oven, microwave, coffeemaker and all the dishes you will need as well as a table for 4. The kitchen could use more lighting. There is a small living room with tv but no desk (we asked this before booking how my spouse needed to work), one large bathroom at the entrance, 2 small but good enough size bedrooms one with an ensuite. Both rooms had tvs. One room had a closet so you could keep the luggage in it. But neither room had a dresser or real places to unpack. So the small room had to leave their suitcases in the living room. The room was very clean and the bathrooms had Paul Mitchell products. AC was not working. Although this is a bit of an older hotel, it was extremely well maintained and the rooms were very quiet. The staff was fabulous from check-in through to check-out. They were friendly and very attentive and did whatever they could to make your stay wonderful. The breakfast was also very good with plenty for everyone. We were going through a relocation to another city so they helped make things less stressful for us. It was a fabulous stay...thank you!
