PPengguna TetamuGot a last-minute reservation here in a torrential downpour when our ferry to Bar Harbor was cancelled and we ended up in St. John. Surprisingly, the beds at this Holiday Inn Express were superb - firm, with excellent back support - better than at 99% of the other hotels we have stayed at (including many with higher ratings). The pool was clean and well-maintained, and long enough to swim serious laps in. Our whole short, rainy stay here was comfortable, and we would happily return (if the sun ever comes out).

Mmichelek697We stayed one night and that was enough. It provided us a bed and shower. The rooms are as pictured but dated. You could feel the age of the rooms and they need upgrading. It was clean and the bed was fine it was just not a nice space. Biggest issue for us was location, there are no signs and we circled the hotel 3 times trying to figure out how to check in and then you have to leave go up a parking garage and walk forever to get to an elevator walk a lot more to room, very inconvenient with your luggage. (When you are sent your confirmation, information could be shared on how to locate the entry, etc). We wouldn’t stay again as there was no breakfast, parking is not included and there is nothing to draw you in, rooms were not luxury by any means just a room. We were disappointed as we always stay with a Marriott brand hotel and this did not meet the standards we are use to.

TtwospicersThis hotel is terrible, which is unfortunate because it has so much potential. -The rooms need updating. Terrible layout, dated and worn. -The staff although friendly was not overly helpful when we made a couple of easy requests. They didn’t seem interested in even listening to us and most of the time there were two to three of them standing/sitting around talking to each other at the front desk avoiding acknowledging guests in the area. -The absolute WORST part about this hotel is the insanely bright lights that they have lighting up the exterior of the building pointed right at the windows on the front side of the hotel without proper coverings on the inside to keep it out. There have been mutiple complaints/mentions of this in past reviews with the standard replies from hote management stating that they “strive for excellence” however they obviously don’t take the reviews seriously because the bright lights are still pointing right at the windows! Simple fix but no action taken. Unfortunately this takes away from any positives of the property as a result. Great location and nice pool area but wouldn’t stay here again given other options in the area and hotel managements inability to take this issue seriously and get it fixed.

CClimber47753478599We were in Saint John for 3 nights celebrating our 43rd Anniversary- the hotel was convenient to the highway and a short drive to uptown but the room (especially the sofa bed area) was very barren - nice and large but empty with small TVs and dated carpeting. It was very dim as well with navy walls and carpet and only one window in the bedroom. The lamps just weren’t enough to brighten it up. The breakfast was decent and the staff were responsive to issues/ requests. If we ever stayed again we would probably just get a standard room because the suite didn’t impress us.

PPengguna TetamuI booked this hotel to stay at when going to see a show at TD Station. It’s close enough to walk.. about 10 minutes… the room we had was wheelchair accessible (even though we didn’t require this) however it was a wonderful layout for anyone in a chair. Bathroom is an open area due showers, no doors or lip to maneuver over. The sleeping area was separate from kitchenette area. Microwave and mini fridge as well as a coffee maker all in room. We needed a wine bottle opened and the front desk had a corkscrew available for us! Staff was friendly and check in and out were easy.

Ggengzhijun酒店位置極好，可以直接看到大海碼頭，樓下有跑步道，有好多學生在寫生，一樓早餐不錯，地下游泳池偏小。邊上有幾家餐廳海鮮非常棒👍定點停車免費，前台給停車票，附近景點走路都可達，逆流瀑布車程10分鐘。

PPengguna TetamuWe booked this hotel on-line, listed as a member of the Choice Hotel line (and therefore with member benefits), but with the name Saint John Inn. When we arrived, we could see the original sign was covered with a fabric one and the “new” name of Saint John Inn on the sign. It will be a Rodeway Inn when they get all the transactions done. It is pet-friendly. The room was adequate. It was on the ground floor with a patio door to the outside. We never could figure out how to take off the lock to open the patio door however. It did have a microwave and fridge with a freezer compartment. While there was coffee in the lobby, there was no breakfast (COVID?). One of the doors by the office (but in the hallway) to the outside had a sign saying EXIT only, yet, it didn’t latch so people could come and go just by pulling it open and bypassing the desk. The staff was friendly and helpful in their recommendations for food. The “high-speed internet” wasn’t high-speed at all. And there were no security/password measures to use the internet. When we arranged for the room, on-line, we went to the website, which said that people who stayed during the week could get a $5 Tim Hortons or Starbucks gift card or other options, just for staying. We registered for one of them. But when we asked at the front desk, they didn’t know anything about it. There was even a poster stating about it in the hall way, but still no recognition of the offer. All they could do was give me a phone number to call, which gave me another number to call for customer relations. They didn’t know about it, but ended up transferring me to a fellow who tried to sell me a 4 day/3 night vacation package to stay at one of their hotels and listen to the time-share sales pitch. Probably won’t stay there again.
