Pagato CHF 260.- per: una stanza ascetica non particolarmente grande con 2 letti, un piccolo appendiabiti (armadio e/o cassettiera assente), una piccola scrivania, un piccolo televisore, un minuscolo bagno (con porta di 60cm). La camera, con parte del soffitto spiovente in quanto situata sotto il tetto, era lato strada con una piccola finestra per metà occupata da un ingombrante tubo di un altrettanto ingombrante condizionatore d’aria. Quindi o molto calda con la finestra chiusa o molto rumorosa con la finestra aperta; impensabile dormire con la finestra chiusa e il condizionatore in funzione in quanto altamente rumoroso. Pulizia e colazione buona.

This hotel checked all my boxes for a short stay in Solothurn. I have stayed in the city many times on business trips but this time I was passing by privately. The hotel offers a very convenient location south of the river. A few parking paces for guests are available but they were occupied when we arrived. But the staff was very helpful in finding an alternative. There are a few parking garages (one with charging option which we were looking for) close by. Reception was very friendly and all the hotel details were explained very patiently. Rooms are basic but with comfortable beds and clean, properly working showers. There are no in-room coffee or tea facilities but guest can get free coffee from a machine near the reception. There is also a fridge with drinks and a request to write down anything you take from it. Very friendly. Breakfast also basic but good and it can be enjoyed on the small terrace in the back of the hotel. Prices are very friendly compared to the other (slightly more upscale) hotels in Solothurn.

J’ai séjourné début octobre dans la charmante petite ville de Soleure, remplie de merveilles. Entre autres l’hôtel Baseltor. Un petit hôtel ravissante où les chambres sont distribuées dans deux ou trois bâtiments typiques de la vielle ville (sans ascenseur) et rénovés avec grand soin. J’ai logé dans la plus petite chambre, qui était parfaitement fonctionnelle, propre et très calme. Une petite terrasse à l’entresol permet de rêver par dessus des toits. Je n’ai pas eu l’occasion de tester le restaurant, mais en vue de la fréquentation il semble exceptionnel aussi. Le petit déjeuner est richement garnie avec des produits locaux. Le personnel est présent, efficace et souriant, ce qui ajoute un plus à cet endroit que je recommande sans hésiter

This is a fine hotel about a 10-15 min walk from the Solothurn train station across the river and up a hill. The old town (Altstadt) of Solothurn is very nice, reknown in Switzerland for its Baroque style. The hotel itself is first class but I would strongly advise being sure to stay in the main building itself, not the annex. Here's why: the annex is on an alleyway and near a bar which has a loud and boisterous clientele. When we were there, it was as though the zombie drummer from Hell and his singers were having a gig - happily, I think Swiss law closed them up at 10 or so. Not sure if this is always the case but.... The restaurant at the hotel is very nicely done, excellent food and wine list, breakfast is sumptuous, service tops. Solothurn is off the beaten touristic track for most but if there, this is a worthy candidate in which to find repose.

Отличный хостел! Недалеко от станции. Я проживал в 6-ти местном номере. Там не двухъярусные кровати, а сделан в комнате доп.этаж и на нем размещаются кровати. Завтрак был прекрасным, плотным. Рядом с хостелом речка, можно купаться!
В комнате чисто и уютно, санузлы тоже чистые.
Однозначно рекомендую, особенно за такую стоимость!

NNomad42941905711This is a fine hotel about a 10-15 min walk from the Solothurn train station across the river and up a hill. The old town (Altstadt) of Solothurn is very nice, reknown in Switzerland for its Baroque style. The hotel itself is first class but I would strongly advise being sure to stay in the main building itself, not the annex. Here's why: the annex is on an alleyway and near a bar which has a loud and boisterous clientele. When we were there, it was as though the zombie drummer from Hell and his singers were having a gig - happily, I think Swiss law closed them up at 10 or so. Not sure if this is always the case but.... The restaurant at the hotel is very nicely done, excellent food and wine list, breakfast is sumptuous, service tops. Solothurn is off the beaten touristic track for most but if there, this is a worthy candidate in which to find repose.

J’ai séjourné début octobre dans la charmante petite ville de Soleure, remplie de merveilles. Entre autres l’hôtel Baseltor. Un petit hôtel ravissante où les chambres sont distribuées dans deux ou trois bâtiments typiques de la vielle ville (sans ascenseur) et rénovés avec grand soin. J’ai logé dans la plus petite chambre, qui était parfaitement fonctionnelle, propre et très calme. Une petite terrasse à l’entresol permet de rêver par dessus des toits. Je n’ai pas eu l’occasion de tester le restaurant, mais en vue de la fréquentation il semble exceptionnel aussi. Le petit déjeuner est richement garnie avec des produits locaux. Le personnel est présent, efficace et souriant, ce qui ajoute un plus à cet endroit que je recommande sans hésiter

PPengguna TetamuPagato CHF 260.- per: una stanza ascetica non particolarmente grande con 2 letti, un piccolo appendiabiti (armadio e/o cassettiera assente), una piccola scrivania, un piccolo televisore, un minuscolo bagno (con porta di 60cm). La camera, con parte del soffitto spiovente in quanto situata sotto il tetto, era lato strada con una piccola finestra per metà occupata da un ingombrante tubo di un altrettanto ingombrante condizionatore d’aria. Quindi o molto calda con la finestra chiusa o molto rumorosa con la finestra aperta; impensabile dormire con la finestra chiusa e il condizionatore in funzione in quanto altamente rumoroso. Pulizia e colazione buona.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel checked all my boxes for a short stay in Solothurn. I have stayed in the city many times on business trips but this time I was passing by privately. The hotel offers a very convenient location south of the river. A few parking paces for guests are available but they were occupied when we arrived. But the staff was very helpful in finding an alternative. There are a few parking garages (one with charging option which we were looking for) close by. Reception was very friendly and all the hotel details were explained very patiently. Rooms are basic but with comfortable beds and clean, properly working showers. There are no in-room coffee or tea facilities but guest can get free coffee from a machine near the reception. There is also a fridge with drinks and a request to write down anything you take from it. Very friendly. Breakfast also basic but good and it can be enjoyed on the small terrace in the back of the hotel. Prices are very friendly compared to the other (slightly more upscale) hotels in Solothurn.

AALEKSANDR BARSОтличный хостел! Недалеко от станции. Я проживал в 6-ти местном номере. Там не двухъярусные кровати, а сделан в комнате доп.этаж и на нем размещаются кровати. Завтрак был прекрасным, плотным. Рядом с хостелом речка, можно купаться!
В комнате чисто и уютно, санузлы тоже чистые.
Однозначно рекомендую, особенно за такую стоимость!
