The owner is extremely nice. She gave me another room for free, so my big family could sleep well and provided free breakfast for us too. She tried to help us for anything that we need, even though it was not related to her business.
The view from the room was amazing, nothing can beat it, make you want to stay there all day. But to be able to enjoy the view, you need to climb more than 100 steps to reach the accomodation. Luckily the best staff (Xiaogu) helped us to bring our backpacks.
IIng YungXijiang is undergoing major construction phase. Access from the viewing deck to the hotel is a tiny horrendous narrow steep dirt alley with physical encounter with ponies used for hauling building materials. A new hotel is under construction right next door and screeching of drills and banging of hammer started promptly at 7am. White painted room decorated by light colour elegant furniture provide a lively zen ambiance. Uneven surfaces at the entrance, breakfast bench and parts of the room resulted in a few trips and stumble. Modern and top grade amenities, toilet suites and voice activated commands took a little use to but very convenient. Breakfast was a choice between boiled rice noodle or spaghetti with a heart shaped froed egg in the bowl and another hard boiled on the serving tray. Tit bits and free beer prepaed for afternoon tea was extended to mid night cap. Appreciated most of all were the free porterage of our luggage through the steep alleys of the famous hillsides to and from our room.
AAmunnIt was an amazing experience.
The hotel is very well located. They took us in charge from the entry of the scenic area.
The team was just perfect, our host Luoshen (sorry ifI mistake)was so kind and so helpful. He explains us a lot of things. We really recommand this place.
We had good real coffee with expresso machine, and every evening so good barbecues.
For sure we would like to stay more and regret already our departure. We left with lot of good memories.
We thank you so much see you soon
PPengguna TetamuI stayed for 3 nights in the Xijiang Miao Village and I'm very glad I chose this place as my accommodation. On arrival the boss gives a very comprehensive overview of the village and its attractions and encourages you to contact her via WeChat with any queries! The husband also recommended a nearby hot pot restaurant for dinner where I met a brother and sister from Chongqing, which led to a drunken night of spicy food, karaoke, and me wandering through the village without shoes or a shirt 😂 - 10/10 dinner recommendation!
The room was spacious, tidy and had all of the necessary features of a hotel room. It has a very nice family feel, and I often would see the owners' family enjoying dinner or playing with their children which creates a very calm and safe atmosphere! Water is provided (not every hotel does this!) and they are also happy to offer some of their delicious rice wine :)
The night before I left, I asked for information on bus tickets to Kaili and the husband even booked it on my behalf, so helpful! I highly recommend this accommodation to anybody staying in the village.
DDaniela KisiThe room is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The service was good. They replied to all my questions via WeChat every time I needed something.
The location, however, is not great. We knew that it was a bit removed and high, but we booked it anyway because it said it had a good view. This was not really the case. The view was to a mountain with a construction site on it, and you could barely see the town. The stairs up to the hotel are also very steep and with trash around it and not light up at all, so it was not great when you needed to do it at night in the dark.
The construction site is right next to the hotel, so we had loud construction noises every day since very early in the morning, waking us up, and even one night at 1.30 am there were some trucks parking some materials for 30 minutes.
So while the hotel and room itself are great, sadly, the location is not worth it.
PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe hotel is located on top of a hill giving stunning views over Xijiang Village and its terraces. Be warned, it requires a couple hundred steps to reach the hotel and the road can be confusing the first few times, a good fitness level is required. There is a possibility to take an electric car to the hotel but it is very infrequent and you often have to wait a long time for it to depart. For me, waking up with this incredible view was worth climbing all the steps everyday.
The room had all the necessary amenities, a comfortable bed and the airconditioning/heater was working as expected. I would stay here again.
