Peaceful place on the bank of the Nile away from the busy areas where you can relax. The grounds and views of the Nile are beautiful. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy, especially Ahmed (nephew of the owner) who was lovely to me and my son and really looked after us when we went to have a look around the west bank. The owner and his wife were also lovely and we felt very safe there. You can get food there and they can organise cars and trips. If you like walking, you can walk and get the ferry or one of the many independent boats across to the east bank. Although it is away from the sites of the east bank, it is quiet and peaceful and you will appreciate that at the end of a busy day of sight seeing and haggling. Would definitely return.

We stayed at the Jewel Howard Carter for two nights and had an absolutely fantastic experience. It’s in a beautiful spot, across the river from the center of Luxor, and very easy to get to and from the main historic sites. The Valley of the Kings is a short drive away, and to get to Karnak and Luxor temples is an easy boat ride. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and helpful. The receptionist Azza did a great job arranging our visit to the tourist sites and generally making sure we had a good stay, and the service staff were great both in the mornings and the evenings. The restaurant onsite serves delicious food, a lot of which comes from the hotel’s own garden. Strongly recommend this place!

It's been just over a month since our trip to Luxor with an absolutely wonderful stay at the Djorff Palace and I cannot recommend it enough. From the absolutely stunning architecture to the carefully appointed rooms - we had the pleasure of staying in Pearl, Emerald and Sapphire - which are all individually curated by the owner, to the wonderful menu that changed daily, I just cannot say enough. Our mornings were spent exploring sites of Luxor, and afternoons spent laying by the gorgeous pool as we readied ourselves for a cozy dinner either upstairs in the interior dining room or downstairs where you can dine under the stars at the main restaurant. On the topic of the restaurant, I need to reiterate again, the menu. Not only did it change daily, every item on the menu was absolutely delicious and never was there a repeat. Located very close to all that Luxor has to offer with either a short trip across the Nile on the resort owned ferry to the East Bank, or a less than 10-15 minute drive from the resort to the sites on the West Bank, the Djorff palace is where you want to be. On leaving the Djorff, it felt more like leaving family behind rather than a hotel and team of staff. Not only were all of Dr. Marinas team wonderful but the Doc herself is a beautiful person who is not just there to manage her resort, but welcome you to her home. I travelled from the Caribbean to this wonderful place, and I cannot wait to go back.

The hotel was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. It was our last hotel in Egypt and the best one! All the staff were friendly and ready to help in anything but we want to especially thanks to the Guest Relations Catherine, she made us feel welcomed and she was friendly, helpful and kind with us the whole time. The swimming pool is fantastic, after a hot day you can chill over the pool, have some drinks and see the beautiful and unforgettable sunset at the River Nile. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are spacious and clean. They have several restaurants with different dietary options, the breakfast was a delicious international buffet and they even have a gift shop inside the hotel. It is accessible for wheelchair user and kids friendly. Definitely we highly recommended.

We booked 2 rooms one with triple bed second one is double bed. Nice rooms and our double room has pool and river Nile view. Breakfast is amazing. It’s close to Luxor temple 20min walk. Around this hotel nice restaurant and convenient shops as well. See my Loqma restaurant review with is close by

We arrived at midnight for a one night stay and left in the morning to see the temples. Good location. Friendly staff. My only suggestion would be to provide better directions to find the 6th floor as the elevator stops on the 5th, and there was no signage to direct us towards our room. It was confusing and took longer than expected to find where we needed to go even with directions from the front staff.
