we enjoyed our 10 nights exceedingly, it was our 2nd visit to this hotel, we stayed there exactly the same dates 2 years prior, we were not dissappointed at all. we stayed on the dark side which we requested, as we stayed there before on the 3rd floor and got the 3rd floor again. the rooms are small , but adequate for a holiday, the problem which we had was the shower. it flooded the bathroom every night, no matter where you stood in the shower the water overflowed into the bathroom. the problem seemed to be that there wasnt a full shower door or a slope on the floor of the shower to send the water back down to the overflow plug in the shower. so when we got out of the shower , we had to be careful and also mop it up with another towel??? so do be careful. we love every thing about the angela, ok the food can be a little repetative, but hey they have to cater for alot of people from all over the world. there was always something to eat for breakfast and evening meal. we will definetly go back, hopefully next year. i would not mind going for christmas but dont know what the weather is like. thank you angela for a lovely holiday

The location was perfect. The staff were very helpful and most friendly. The food was very good with plenty of choice for any diet. Maybe another coffee machine and toaster as the queues were rather long…. Our room was very nice, plenty of space and clean although the bathroom extractor didn’t work. We were rather disappointed that the tea/coffee facilities weren’t replenished at all. Even a basic hotel would do this. We felt the bar area was rather lacking in atmosphere. Maybe some tasteful entertainment would keep the guests spending money in the hotel rather than going out to find some!

Stayed at this hotel as we thought the pictures of the pool looked nice on the photos compared to other hotels in Fuengirola. However, the pool area is one of the worst I’ve been too. Not the kind of pool you can relax at. The drinks are extremely over priced at the pool bar. There’s no drinks allowed at the side of the pool either. Usually I like to get a drink n sit with my feet in the pool. But got wrong off the life guard for having my drink too close to the pool. I travel a lot and it’s the first hotel where I’ve ever been told I can’t do this. Really bad atmosphere around the pool and dirty too so we didn’t spend much time around the pool which was a shame as we’re not really beach people. The pool was extremely disappointing, however, what made this hotel even worse was the staff. They were extremely arrogant at the pool bar and also at reception. Firstly at the pool bar we asked for a glass with some ice. OMG you would think we asked to lend some money from the till. Both the woman and especially the man are some of the most arrogant staff I have ever met. Especially after we paid €4.00 for the world’s smallest pint. Also one day I was in reception to enquire about a taxi. I but my glass of water on the counter top where the very rude and arrogant lady told me ‘this is not a bar so take your water off now’. It wouldn’t have bothered me if she asked me politely but the way she spoke to me was just so rude. I wish I had got her name. I don’t know how the hotel can get away with employing people like this. The hotel seemed to have a lot of Spanish staying in the hotel as we never heard any English staying there. I think maybe there is a bad feel towards British people as there’s no customer service what so ever. This is the first time I’ve ever been on holiday and wrote a bad review about the staff. But trust me, if you’re looking for basic customer service you would expect when on holiday, please don’t stay at this hotel.

The room were comfy and clean. But our room didn’t get any sun on the balcony at all and at this time of year you need it. Had to pay more money to get moved to the other side. On the 4th floor we had a sea view but the noise from the bars underneath is dreadful so hope you don’t have young children. Unfortunately the pool was closed but there wasn’t even anywhere to sunbathe which I found the worst thing tbh.

I’ve given 4 stars because: Pros- The apartment was fab, pool view, air con in living area and bedroom. Full size fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle toaster, coffee thing, washing lines and balcony furniture. Mop and bucket and sweeping brush. A little welcome package of washing up liquid, cloth, bin bag, sponge, dishwasher tab and a laundry pod. Advised on check in that for our 5 night stay our room would be cleaned once along with fresh sheets and towels and everything else was down to us to clean which in fairness I would have done anyway! We got disinfectant and toilet bleach in the supermarket downstairs for less than €2. The reviews complaining about the decor are ridiculous, is it a bit outdated? Sure but is it clean and liveable? Absolutely! Pool area was immaculate, plenty of sun beds and not many around the pool which was actually nice. Cons- The pool water was murky, we seen it being cleaned twice daily but the water itself could do with some treatment but there is a drought so we think that could be why. It didn’t stop us or others using it and everyone used to shower before entering and exiting. The bathroom is small and there is a massive thing opposite the toilet that should be removed as it made getting in and out of the bath to shower a bit dangerous. All in all 4 out of 5 stars, we would be happy to stay here again and very happy to recommend. The walk down to the ***** is 3-5 mins depending on your speed, the ‘hill’ back is not steep at all. A great location, easily accessible.
