FFarAway54428528490This is a review for the rooftop bar only as we did not stay here. It is a small hotel in a quiet street in the town. If you are not staying, there is a minimum charge for drinks on the roof terrace. It is a small roof terrace and we were on our own. Lovely views out over the beach. We had two rounds of the signature cocktail which was banana based and delicious. Despite bananas growing everywhere, no other bar or hotel could make us a banana daiquiri so this was brilliant. And there were plantain chips to get with it. This place seem a good example of sustainable, local tourism to be encouraged in La Palma and a world away from the tacky places that the cruise ship people get funnelled towards.

Resolutivos cero! Resulta que decido ir en verano con mi pareja a La Palma y veo este hotel con buenos comentarios. Como tenía problemas con el internet, decido llamar y realizo una reserva para el mes de Julio, mediante recepción. En junio veo un cobro en mi cuenta por parte del hotel, llamo y me atiende amablemente un señor y me comenta que la reserva se ha realizado en Junio. Tras esto indago, y veo que efectivamente me habían reservado en junio, ¡SORPRESA!, ya que en su día solo me fijé en el importe del mail de confirmación, sin percatarme de fechas ya que sólo varía en todo el desglose xx/06/xx-xx/07/xx (el mes). Vuelvo a llamar, y me atiende una señora, la cual le comento que me pase con el chico que había hablado anteriormente que me estaba llevando mi situación y para mi sorpresa me comenta con mucha soberbia “soy la directora, ¿te es suficiente?”. Tras esta respuesta que me dejó atónito, le comento la situación y me responde que es mi deber comprobar fechas, a lo cual acepto y le digo que ya que pierdo la cantidad de 261€ (el importe de 3 noches con media pensión), que si hay alguna alternativa, ya que tenía los billetes de avión, coche de alquiler, experiencias en la naturaleza y astrológicas contratadas (envíandole vía mail comprobaciones de los días que voy a estar en la isla, sacados anteriormente a reservar en este hotel), y que era una pena perder todo eso, a lo cual me suelta un rotundo NO! Pues con mi frustración y su cero capacidad resolutiva para ostentar ese puesto soy yo el que le ofrece alternativas como cambiar las fechas, que me cobre una noche, o aunque sea reservar solo alojamiento y me ofrezcan un upgrade de media pensión ya que se han quedado con todo el importe, a lo que me vuelve a contestarme que es la política de cancelación, que si quiero vuelva a realizar una nueva reserva con el importe completo por los 3 días con media pensión... Me vuelvo a poner en contacto con ella al día siguiente y me contesta que son un hotel de 16 habitaciones y que sólo se me hará una devolución parcial de 54€, finalizando el mail con un “con esto damos por resuelta la incidencia”. Es una grandísima pena la promoción que se le hace a esta isla y que por gente con tal de coger tres perras, otros negocios pierdan la oportunidad de ganar algo. Son muchas las instituciones que fomentan la recuperación de una isla tras una catástrofe natural y somos muchos los que vamos a La Palma no a ver una erupción volcánica, sino por solidaridad al pueblo palmero, que seguro les harán falta muchos visitantes para recuperarse y fortalecer a la economía isleña, pero lamentablemente cuando el trato es pésimo y prevalece más coger dinero a toda costa no todo vale... Porque aun pudiéndole demostrar que fue un error de recepción... no todo vale, ya que, por una estancia de 3 noches, señora Valentina, el dinero ya está cobrado, con cambiarlas fechas a un mes posterior hubiese quedado el alojamiento que regenta por los cielos, que por esa cantidad el benefi

MMarcin SzymonRelatively close to the city center and bus station (10 minutes walk), but need to climb going to the hotel. The staff helpfull. Very spacious, clean apartaments and bathroom as well. Equipped with portable air conditioner and nice, stylish furniture. Excellent breakfast with variety of hot dishes!
What is bad in my opinion: ground floor apartament without balcony with view to the very close rock wall and street. No soundproofing at all. You can hear all the conversations from the main hall and reception. What was the worst, the street is by the wall of the apartament and without soundproofing windows you hear all the cars passing by. For light sleepers (like me) it is not a good place to have comfortable rest and sleep at night.

VVicente PWe visit Paradores regularly, and La Palma was probably the best Parador experience we ever had. The building is conveniently located, with amazing views of the island and sea. The premises are worth exploring, with a gorgeous garden that extends down the hill. But what made our stay truly special was the team working at the Parador. Everybody was extremely friendly and accommodating, and by the time we left we truly felt at home. We look forward to visiting La Palma again, and we will certainly stay at this Parador.

After reading some negative reviews I thought it fair to write an honest review from my point of view. I found the staff really helpful and friendly at reception. The room was great decent size bedroom and bathroom. The bed is firm but comfortable enough with plenty of choice of pillows. The rooms were very clean and kept clean every day. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, some unusual combinations but then you are in a foreign county! We both enjoyed the food. My wife is a vegetarian and there was always something for her to eat and the salads are fantastic! Maybe not as much choice of puddings but the cakes were really light and you can help yourself to ice-cream. The show kitchen had a lovely choice of meat / fish each night cooked in front of you. The restaurant was quite busy but not bad. The wine and beer is nice and perfectly acceptable. One waiter was very friendly and upgraded us to a bottle of Rioja! There was a good choice at breakfast. English bacon would have been a nice addition but again you are abroad. The pools are lovely, yes the heated pool is only slightly warmer that the other ones (top one, furthest from the sea in case you are not sure as they are not marked). Managed several swims in February which is a treat. Always got a lounger as there were plenty. Maybe different in the summer when it is hotter? The entertainment is every other night and pretty good quality. The circus act was fantastic and the musicians were pretty good too. Some of the lounge chairs are a bit hard, you have to look around for the ones that are newly upholstered. We went All-Inclusive and were glad as paying for water, tea and coffee soon adds up otherwise. We did work our way through the cocktail menu and enjoyed them all and tried some different spirits all adds to the fun! All the staff work really hard and we met some really friendly ones who made the holiday more pleasant. The bus to Santa Cruz is easy although got quite full. It goes every half an hour one one of two bus stops slightly up the road or down the road. 1 Euro 50 each way, you pay the driver. The hotel is in a good location, near the airport. Yes there are a few planes that go over but very few and you don't really notice them. Nice prom to walk down to the beaches and a few supermarkets nearby. We found the Spar (nearest) slightly cheaper than the Hyperdino further along. We bought bottled water as we were going out a lot and you can store it in your own room fridge which is handy. Although later on we found you could fill your bottle up with water for free I think at the bar, we didn't. We hired a car from Oasis next to the doctor sign down the road. I think I worked out they were the cheapest. You can get it delivered to the hotel but cost extra 10 euros. No point as the office is only about 150m away. All in all we really enjoyed our stay there.

PPengguna TetamuViajamos un grupo de 7 personas por motivos de trabajo a la isla de La Palma y nos dejaron tirados de madrugada. Realizamos una reserva en Apartamentos Centro Cancajos. Salimos del aeropuerto y nos dirigimos al alojamiento. Al llegar a este para realizar el check in (14.00 horas), nos encontramos con la primera sorpresa; la recepción estaba cerrada. No nos informaron de esto al realizar la reserva. Tienen un cartel en recepción en el que informan que a partir de las 16.30 horas, vuelven a abrir. La cuestión es que a las 17.00 horas, ya teníamos que estar en otro municipio de la isla para trabajar. Por lo tanto, tuvimos que marcharnos con todo el equipaje y regresar por la noche. A las 22.00 horas, llamo nuevamente al alojamiento (después de estar intentando comunicarnos con ellos durante toda la tarde sin éxito ) para que estén informados que íbamos de camino y nos comentan que no hay problema alguno, que hasta las 06.00 horas la recepción estará abierta. Sobre las 23.50 horas, llegamos al alojamiento y la chica que me había contestado el teléfono un par de horas antes, alega que la reserva ha sido cancelada por no presentarnos en el alojamiento. Quedamos atónitos, pues habíamos llamado 2 horas antes y todo estaba ok. La reserva de nuestras habitaciones, decidieron cancelarla sin previo aviso 'por no presentarnos en el complejo'. En ningún momento se pusieron en contacto con nosotros, nos dejaron tirados, literalmente en la calle y en ese horario. Me parece surrealista esta situación. Jamás he vivido una experiencia tan horrible, tan lamentable. Me siento triste, muy triste por lo sucedido. Estamos en plena pandemia, con todas las restricciones que eso conlleva para poder aloj**** en cualquier establecimiento y a esa hora de la noche. No recomiendo para nada este alojamiento. Me parece peligroso, pues imagino que si el viaje es con niños, puede ser aún más terrible la experiencia.
