Highly recommend, this hotel is very clean.. breakfast was included and the pool ontop of the roof was pretty small but I used the public pool, the reception staff helped me whenever and gave me directions and information, it's very central and I would stay again. I have no complaints what so ever... only thing I can suggest is having air con which the fan wasn't the best but still didn't effect my stay. Very lovely hotel with lovely friendly staff. Went solo and room was really small but I didn't mind

Amazing weeks stay here. Staff so helpful, hard working and lovely (Julio on reception, Ricardo and Co in the bars and Clara in the dining hall). Cleaners are so quick as well as so thorough! We’d go for breakfast and the room was already turned around by the time we got back! Food/buffet was good for myself and wife who are quite picky eaters (the breakfasts were great). Only wish there was a little more you could be entitled to when you’re all inclusive as we were as only basic drinks and such are included but non the less those that aren’t included are still sensibly priced. Also maybe a few extra pillows but I’m sure they could be requested! Main pool we avoided as it’s quite cramped and loud but the upper pool/solarium is incredible. Definitely would return!

Overall nice hotel, friendly staff and spectacular views. We stayed all inclusive which is a little confusing at first. You have the choice of only 1 restaurant for breakfast and evening free of charge, there is a alacarte Italian restaurant available with 20% discount to all inclusive guests in the evenings. Lunch you can dine at restaurant or pool bar which has snacks including, pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, toasties, salads (all included with all inclusive). Evening food did change each night with chocolate fountain on 1 night of stay. Some cocktails included with all inclusive but not all, same goes with spirits and liqueurs only local spirits included. All soft drinks ie, Coke, Fanta, Sprite, fruit juice (not fresh) included with all inclusive. There is ice cream pots available from pool bar included but branded ice creams you still need to pay. Location wise, spectacular views just slightly remote for those wanting lively atmosphere. Shuttle bus very reliable and free to take you into town. There is a nice shopping centre over the road but will cost around €10 to get to due to road layout. It’s the same to get back from centre of town in taxi also. Lots of bars and restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz. Towels are available to hire with a refundable deposit for the pool if tokens returned at end of stay. Gardens around pool area are immaculate however the Pool doesn’t allow inflatables which didn’t please my kids, you can however take an inflatable ball. It was easy to get a sun bed no need to reserve beds and we were a group of 9 and we all got a bed easily. Room layout we had a sea view suite which had a lounge which they converted sofa to a single and placed another single in for 2nd child, seperate bedroom with very large bed, large bathroom with whirlpool bath. Aircon only worked in bedroom, lounge was broken, same was the case for other rooms booked which wasn’t great. Our room was 320 and view was amazing. Will say the pool had very sharp surroundings believe it’s to stop slipping over but not the most comfortable to sit on the edge of the pool. They have a larger adults only pool for over 14 year olds which is the one with the large waterfall.

Super hotel, trip.com had niet de juiste kamer geboekt slechts voor 2 personen terwijl ik 3 had opgegeven maar het Hotel heeft dat voor ons opgelost. Super schoon en mooi hotel, ontbijt is top, diner moet je ding zijn want dat is een buffet maar ook daar is er voor ieder wat wils. Faciliteiten dik voor elkaar, aanrader!!

Overall a decent hotel. Good for a trip that is for a week or less. The hotel is clean and has lovely staff. Round by the pool it’s nice we came last week of august and the pool is not super busy at all. We were able to get a sunbed everyday without having to reserve one (as it’s not aloud). There is a lovely lifeguard called Tina who will help you when needed and helps keep round the pool nice and tidy. The bar staff are good and recommend food from the bar at lunch as it’s very nice. There are also lots of chair in lobby/ bar area to be able to sit and have a drink. And some chair outside as well to be able to sit on. The room are clean. With cleaners that come in every morning which is a bonus. Bedroom are good size with comfy beds, the pillows are very long but are still comfy. Rooms come with a Tv, large wardrobe and safe which can pay about €15 for the week for. A desk area with draws and a mirror. Bathroom was clean overall with a few minor flaws. Shower pressure is not brilliant but is good enough. There is also a bath. The balcony is nice we had a good sea view. There is a football pitch/ training ground near by but not too noisy and all noise stopped by 9:30ish. The food at breakfast was nice with plenty options. E.g fruit, cooked breakfast, omelette, pastries. Dinner also had some good options only flaw is restaurant is basement with some windows towards top so there is some light but it’s tidy and clean down there. Location is brilliant with plenty of restaurants near by. If you walk left out hotel there is the town is large but can walk to other end in about 35 mins. There also some good shops as well. If you walk til you get to a mcdonald's then go right up a hill theres a small shopping centre with some good shops. If you go right out the hotel til end of road and then left there is a market which is good i believe it’s on a Sunday. You can walk along beach with is about 5 mins away nice views but can sadly not go in the water due it being polluted but is still lovely to walk along. If you want to go in the sea there is places in the town or a beach about 25. minute walk away I believe. Hotels about 20 mins walk from monkey parks and a small town. Would highly recommend the area and had a nice stay in the hotel. With the staff making the stay very nice.

We have stayed previously at the Catalonia Las Vegas but we haven’t been for several years now but even after 6 years it is still the same and still has the same wonderful charm that it always has done. When we arrived we were given an upgraded room which gave us a large balcony with sunbeds and a gorgeous view of Teide, so me and my partner spent a lot of time soaking up the sun whilst on the balcony. The room was clean and tidy, with a large tv and plenty of space including a mini fridge and a large spacious bed. We found the food great and the service we received was also excellent. I would like to give a special mention to Jacqueline who works behind the bar, she works incredibly hard and is always polite. The reception staff are also very friendly, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman when we arrived (we are unsure of his name but he has long hair) and we were served by a very friendly and polite gentleman named Oscar when we checked out. The reception team were great at handling any questions we had. Now on to entertainment, we found the hotel had a great variety of shows and singers of an evening accompanied by free bingo which was very fun. It filled a nice few hours for us and we enjoyed all of the entertainment that was on offer. We did a few of the activities during the day that are on offer and we did the activities with Maria who was very friendly and helpful and made sure everyone was enjoying the activities. We also thought the pool area was nice, it was nice and clean and the pool is nice and large which gives plenty of room to swim. We also think that the hotel is in a perfect location as it is so close to the sea and is right at the heart of many restaurants and shops. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Catalonia Las Vegas and we will be returning. Thank you to everyone who made our stay pleasant.

This hotel has never been a 4 star plus hotel, we went at the end of August the room we was given was low standard, damaged furniture with stains on it that didn’t look pleasent, we payed extra for a more premium room with a balcony to find out every room has a balcony, and the more premium rooms were on floor 6 upwards, we was on floor 3, we went full board the food was average, the beds were comfortable, and the receptionist were really helpful, pillows weren’t comfy at all you, the shower was more like a caravan shower, and the bath you stood in was sinking we thought we was going to fall through it, the hotel from floor 6 onwards may have been ok but from 6 downwards I would not recommend.

Just returned from this hotel. Great location and very clean hotel. Took a while to check in but staff were friendly. Luckily 3 lifts as we were on level 8. Great sea views. Cleaners were amazing coming in every day... very friendly and hard working. Showers were fantastic with hand wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in pumps....all was nice to use. There is a fridge in the room but that is it. U either take a travel kettle as I did but my son paid for one which was 25 euro for duration of stay....he did get crisps, juice, can pop, lots of tea, coffee and milk sachets but still quite pricey. Breakfast was lovely with huge variety of foods to suit everyone. Lunch had a good selection. Evening meal was ok. Couple nights were hit and miss so decided to eat out. You can only help yourself to drinks for breakfast...lunch and evening meal they seat you and take drink orders....had to move couple times as sun was blaring in window seats and too hot. Good variety of drinks and staff work hard. (Taimi was amazing with every guest...bubbly and chatty as her English was very good) So many fantastic cafes and restaurants close by. *************** POOL AND POOL BAR..... a big negative. Unless you go privilege don't expect to get served very quickly and they get priority for the sunbeds.....Pool area very small and quite shaded so used Lagoon across the road for 5.50 euros...well worth it. Basic pool food....waited 20 mins for a coffee a few times while there as staff were busy pampering P guests !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was not impressed and made me quite angry as we paid a lot of money to go all inclusive to this hotel....... Location is fantastic...straight outside to seafront ( tiny beach and rocky !!!) lots of surfers. Shops, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. Lovely for an evening walk along the front as great atmosphere......and felt quite safe walking on my own. If it wasn't for privilege choice I would definitely return but becasue of my own experience that will not be happening sadly.

We’re a couple in our early 20’s, second time returning to Puerto de la Cruz. Overall, enjoyed our stay in this beautiful city, but wish we stayed elsewhere for the hotel. Pros: Really good location, 5 minute walk to the waterfront, bars, restaurants, shops. Also a shopping center opposite the hotel. Nice big rooms, cleaned every day, nice decor Staff are lovely Free water behind the bar & also a water fountain where you can fill your water up as much as you want. Good snack bar at the pool bar, self serve coffee machine, nice deserts at the snack bar & the restaurant. They also offer a late breakfast, which is nice if your having a sleep in and miss the main breakfast. Good size luggage room. Big sitting area in the main lobby. Entertainment is mainly for the Spanish tourist they get, however you can’t complain as you are in a Spanish country, if you want English entertainment, go to Benidorm. Cons: Food is very hit and miss. I’m not a picky eater and will eat anything, but I’m disappointed with the food. Breakfast and lunch is very standard everyday, as expected. Dinner time, every day there is a different cuisine. We’re here for 10 days, and tried the restaurant food for the 4 of the days we’ve been here. Only really liked the German night, as most of the meals provided weren’t soggy. It is expected with an all inclusive, the food will be on show under lights to keep warm, however it could really do with some improvement. Drinks are okay at first, but then they do get repetitive and very sweet. You can pay more to upgrade to labelled brands, and it isn’t too expensive. Pool area is quite small, we’ve always managed to find some sun loungers, but it’s been quite late on in the day. The hotel does say to not reserve the sun lounges as towels will be taken away, however I haven’t seen that once. For the amount of people this hotel holds, the pool area is tiny! There is a ‘mini market’ shop within the hotel, however I have only seen it open about 4 times since being here, and it’s mainly to book excursions with. Overall it’s an okay hotel if your using it as a base, but if your planning to just stay in the hotel for the most of your holiday, I would pick elsewhere.
