The position is good the food good and the prices are ok the only fault for us was noise, every time someone shuts their door it echoes through the whole floor. The front rooms get the added noise from the outside bars and restaurants
Lovely place that is located right on the beach! There is a live band to serenade you while dining or drinking at their restaurant. A nice pool overlooking the sea! Friendly and helpful staff. Location is only 15 mins taxi ride from the airport. Definitely going back!
Staying at the hotel was a good experience. We were welcomed with bright smiles by the staff. They escort us to our room, explain everything about the room and then remind us that they will always be there if we need any help. The room that we booked is facilitated well. The location is the best as it has the best view I have ever seen. You can see the sunset from your balcony as well as mountains and also you can clearly see the nafi airport sign as you can see on the photo. The hotel is clean and they do room services everyday. Also, they always remind their guests about their breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their service was soo good. Everything about this hotel is brilliant. LOVED IT!
This is a pretty average hotel. 3 of us shared a room for 2 nights: we couldn't get cold water out of the shower so we ended up having hot showers. The shower door lever that moves it across to open and close was broken so had to lift the heavy glass door up to move it across in order to shut the door or at least partially shut. On our last evening, our friends (9 of us that stayed in the hotel) sat at the pool and ordered some food as we were pretty tired to go out after a whole day at the beach. We were disappointed with the quality of food and presentation. I ordered samosa and what I got was what you would buy at a supermarket - frozen tiny pieces that were overfried. The pineapple juice tasted like cordial drink. Others had similar experience with the dishes they ordered. In summary I wouldn't stay in this hotel again
Serviced apartment this is certainly not a good one , it did have a bed , a washing machine we never used it , tv with 1 channel broken draws that did not close, dirty floors, microwave, fridge, shower that was cold and dirty, no tea towels, nothing to wash the plates and cups with, total lack of cutlery, gas hob that did not work, one very dirty fry pan, they did bring us a jug, this place was noisy and dark, parking was limited and only after asking we were shown where additional parking was. Staff were very pleasant the only good thing i can think of. Maybe we got a bad unit. Serviced apartment according to the tourism list following: Serviced apartments, means you can have a home away from home and should include A hob and kitchenware like pots, pans, crockery and cutlery come as standard while many apartments have fully fitted kitchens with a full oven and a comprehensive range of cooking implements. We had one dirty pan, totally lacking anything, would not recommend, just as cheap to stay at a hotel.
Not a good experience. The host was on site when we arrived but unlike what it says on the site, she did not say hello, welcome us or even acknowledge us. We paid for the superior AC room but were put into a basic double (we didn't know that at the time). The lady who showed us around was great however she left and we had no good service after. The bathroom tap was broken, there was no coffee/tea (based on the description); the blinds didn't work well. We patronised their on site restaurant and had a good lunch but the dinner was not up to par. We ordered early as per request (afer lunch, so that it was defrosted for cooking) however when we arrived for dinner the food had not been defrosted so we waited an hour. We ordered the Fillet fish dinner but got bone in fish which was overfried (dry) and no vegetable. We asked and they ignored us; the server said he didn't know and they wouldn't give him an answer. However charged full price. the room was clean and the place is well situated but other than that - a poor experience
The host of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very healthy and delicious. I love how they always served it with fruits such as papaya, pineapple, and banana. The location is near shops, restaurants, and the beach. They are all within a 10-minute walk. However, if you are into diving or island-related activities, it will take you around 20-30 minute drive to get to the Marina. Overall, it's a good place to stay for a few days without hurting your wallet.

PPengguna TetamuWe had a great stay at the Fiji Gateway hotel! The rooms were clean and in great condition and the showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water - perfect for helping us relax as we continued our trip. As opposed to other hotel rooms in Fiji, the air conditioning worked great and the safe in the room was in good working condition - something that is always important for protecting your valuables and travel documents. This was a perfect place for us to stay when we had to fly out of Nadi airport for our flight to the island of Taveuni. On this night, we ate at the restaurant which had excellent, friendly staff and good food. But the thing we remember the most about this hotel were the 2 live musicians Igenasio and Joape who play in the bar and restaurant. During our meal, I kept pausing and saying to my wife, ”listen to this awesome music”! Just about every day for the rest of our trip I kept saying to my wife, ”did I say how awesome those musicians at the Fiji Gateway hotel were?” On our final night in Fiji, just before we went to Nadi airport, we went back to the Fiji Gateway hotel to see if Igenasio and Joape were playing in the restaurant and bar area. Guess what? They were! I was beyond excited to see them and told them that we came back to the hotel just to find them. They did not disappoint and played 2 songs that we requested as well as songs requested by others. They are a great duo and they complement each other with their lead singing and harmony. We'll always remember this final night in Fiji at the Gateway Hotel!
PPengguna TetamuMy wife and I spent 7 amazing nights here! The resort has everything, you don’t even have to leave! You can catch a 45 minute cab ride to port denaru for some adventure experiences of course, but so much to do here. Isikeli and Jim - as well everyone else at the water sports area were awesome! The 5 hr cruise with snorkel and wave runner safaris were definitely worth it. Joey over at the fish bar is great and pours some good drinks. Missi and Adam with activities also some great people to run into for a soccer game on the beach. Marcus was the friendliest person to run into everywhere at the resort throughout the day. Simon at the front lobby will help square you away with whatever you need. We had a lagoon view bure which was a home away from not wanting to go back home. Walk right into the lagoon from the beach or sit on your balcony while reading a book. All in all could not recommend this resort more. Safest part of the trip is was having to leave.
PPengguna TetamuThe staff was friendly. We booked a Family Villa through Tripadvisor Plus for 2 nights. Our flight on Fiji air was scheduled to arrive at 6AM in the morning. They held the room for us and it was ready when we arrived at 7AM. Room was ground level. The staff moved us to a Villa closer to the dining and pool because my wife walks with a cane and a shorter walking distance is better for her. Room was clean and spacious. I would stay again.
PPengguna TetamuWe had a great stay. Staff was friendly and accomodating to our needs including carrying out heavy luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. They even allowed our visitors in which I find very rare. They also carried our food up to our balcony which was great. We had the Sunset suite at the very top - awesome view! Our room was nice and clean, super nice air con in the room and lounge area. Really nice kitchen area with a massive new fridge. Very convenient with the supermarket up the road and beachfront to chill. The ocean was sooo nice and hot to swim in. Downfall: Some of the levels smell like damp, wet carpet and was really bad . Some of our dishes were so dirty and their were cockroaches in the toaster, microwave and jug. Would be great to have a volley ball net on the beach and some activities on offer for guests such as horse riding & snorkelling etc. Also some entertainment would be great as the music next door was the only entertainment we got but sometimes it was far too loud that we couldn’t sleep. There was no fire show or kava ceremony and we were looking forward to that! The food at the ghost ship bar was really good especially the pizza and curry dishes! Be good if reception could help guests find the best taxi prices as some Of the locals that stand on the road really take advantage of travellers and charge you the world. We did have a great stay in the end! I would recommend this if you want to stay near town, the airport and want to experience outside of Denarau. Denarau did get boring for me sometimes so I liked this experience this time around.
PPengguna TetamuOverall we had a really nice stay at this resort. We were in an ocean front bure for 3 nights - the bure itself is very spacious, well appointed and has beautiful views out over the ocean - sitting on the deck at sunset was incredible (see photos)! The resort gardens are beautiful, a real credit to the landscapers - walking back and forth to our bure was like strolling through a tropical paradise. The food was a little hit and miss: breakfast was fantastic and heaps of it (we didn't need lunch), but dinner was so-so. The Indian buffet dinner was the best (very flavoursome), but the food from their alfresco restaurant (Tavu) was overpriced and average quality. Overall all the food is pretty expensive too - as a couple we were able to manage it, but it could be a bit eye-watering for a family or larger group. The bottled water is a total rip-off - cocktails, beers and spirits were actually better value, only $15 FJD for a cocktail, and they were delicious (compared to the price in Australia for a cocktail, this is a bargain!). The service was outstanding, all the staff were really friendly, attentive and helpful. Booking activities and tours was really easy though their tour desk, and there were taxis readily available out the front if you needed to go somewhere. Don't come here if you're looking for a white sandy beach and clear ocean water (most resorts on the main island don't have this at any rate), but the pool is superb and there's lots of lovely areas with sunbeds under the coconut palms to relax, with sweeping ocean views to the islands beyond. Swimming in the ocean is possible, but there is a large rocky surfbreak along most of the resort to prevent ocean surges during storms. Would definitely recommend staying here for 2 or 3 nights, we thought it was a great ”gap filler stay” between being out on the smaller Western islands and flying out of Nadi to come home. Only 20-30 mins drive from Nadi airport/Port Denaru, and being on it's own little outcrop of land, it has a lovely isolated island feel (there is a little ferry that takes you to and from the resort as there is no road access, this runs 24/7 and requires no booking). Vinaka Double Tree!
PPengguna TetamuMy husband and I stayed at Nalagi Hotel for 1 night as we had an early flight out and it was close to the airport and relatively cheap. Our room was spacious and clean with a small balcony. We ate at the rooftop bar which has spectacular views and a big swimming pool. Very comfortable transit hotel if you want to be close to the airport when coming from other tourist areas. (Nadi not a tourist destination for us). The concierge called a taxi for us in the morning and it cost $20FJD to the airport.
MMarliahVery convenient if you’re staying overnight in Fiji 😁 the staff was very lovely and the room was small enough but tidy. Just need to bring your own toothbrush and paste. They provide a bar of soap. Lovely stay. Sunset is amazing. Will definitely stay again 🥰
PPengguna TetamuReception comes with a warm welcome, then the real thing started.
Finding a room with Aircond took 1 hour.
In an area with no taxi, reception often mark up $10 for calling one for you.
No food or store around, hotel food close at 6pm.
There is thief trying to get in and knock on doors from 8pm to 1am. They are led by security to check if no one then open the door to search for valuables.
Reception and a strong guy knock on the door at 1am and told me to pay again by cash because my previous payment card denied. I show them my credit debit record, and refused to be rip off.
There is bed bugs and cockroach in the room as well as on the bed.
Water from tab is yellow.
Given 2 small soap, no shampoo, no others
I would suggest to take something with free airport pick up. Never recommend this hotel as it’s a rip off.
