Hotel terbaik di La Chapelle-sur-Dun

We originally booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and asked for the rooms to be close together as one was for our 15 year old grandson who is a bit anxious about being too far away from us when staying in hotels. We arrived to find that the rooms were a long way away. Ours was in one wing while his was right at the other end of the other wing and the only lighting in the dark corridor was on sensors. When we asked the receptionist if we could have rooms closer together she said the hotel was full. She had nothing else in that type of room. I said I would pay to upgrade the rooms but she was adamant there was nothing. The beds in both rooms were double so no way for my husband and grandson to share. I said I had asked for the rooms to be close when I had booked. She got out our booking form and said we were on the same floor. When you opened the door to our room it was straight into the room, no corridor, so if anyone was passing when the door was opened they would have been able to see anyone in bed. I know a lot of hotels don’t do tea/coffee and this one did but there were only 2 sachets of coffee and one non-herbal tea bag. There was no milk. When I went to the desk to ask for some the receptionist’s face visibly dropped as if to say ‘ not you again’. Everything seemed to be an effort for her. In the end, we decided to spend the one night instead of two as our grandson was uncomfortable being so far from us in a strange place. When I went down to tell the receptionist she made no show of disappointment. The big plus with this hotel is the restaurant. The chef is excellent and even our picky teenage grandson ate everything put down to him. However, we were again let down, this time by the fact that we could not get a drink or cup of coffee in the bar as there was no one around to serve us. Apart from the receptionist when we arrived all the other staff were very cheery and helpful. We booked this hotel as we had stayed there on our own last year. That room was much better and the only issue we had then was the bar was closed so we thought we would book there again. But our experience this time has put us off returning.

Very quiet hotel close to the airfield in Dieppe. We stayed in a family room 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Family of 4 with 2 children. The room was clean and tidy and well laid out. We arrived a 11pm and the reception was closed but a brief call to the number on the door and thankfully in English, we were directed to our room. We went to the local bakery 3 minutes down the road for breakfast and left easily the next day after paying the tourist tax at reception. There was a lidl just outside the hotel which would have been handy if we had needed to pick up any supplies. Good value stay!

This hotel is tired. An area of the ceiling in my room (23) had fallen down and another area was bulging, hanging down. There was no bin in the room. I asked a staff member and they just shrugged. It has the air of an asylum seeking hostel. Having said that, the receptionist s were helpful, especially the morning lady and we enjoyed the breakfast. Although away from the town centre, there were eateries close by and a bar by the campsite.

I requested a ground floor room on booking as I have a disability and stairs are a problem for me. Arrived 3pm to be advised that it was a first floor room (no lift) and the stairs were easy and no problem. I kept advising the guy that they were a problem for me and that he could not change room to ground floor one as hotel was fully booked. He would not advise if all ground floor guests had checkec in and just said cannot help. As pre-paid and busy weekend I had to take the room given but was very nervous on the stairs as my knees had given way on me a few times previously. Room clean but was smllest ever seen - could just edge round the beds-no room to store luggage or bags. Small ferry cabin was much bigger. Put me off Kyriad big style and will revert to Campanile where the staff are friendly and always helpful.
