Hotel terbaik di Provins

5/5 Excellent Lovely hotel, with all the quirky charm of an old establishment, but including modern cons. Spent 1 night on route to CDG airport from Nice. Guest room 224 was perfect. Up 2 flights of stairs (no lift in this part of the hotel) in a quiet corner, spacious with comfortable king bed and high-end bedding, a window with nice view of some old town buildings, two skylights and a nice sitting area, Original A-frame rafters (so high ceiling) and a pristine, spacious bathroom. The bathtub with both faucet and handheld shower wand was superb – good water pressure, spacious bath for relaxing, and fluffy absorbent towels. No washcloths or face cloths, however. Half a point off for this. In room 224 there was a kettle with tea & instant coffee. 2 bottles of water were provided. The AC worked. The staff agreed to store small items in their refrigerator for us. It would’ve been convenient (and it seems a standard offering of virtually all hotels these days) to have a small fridge in the room. One does not want to run down to staff for every access to their items. The other half point was docked for this. The reception and service from staff was exactly what one would hope for. Make sure you get a map of the area at reception – there are English as well as French versions and they are indispensable for navigating the small town and appreciating what you are seeing. Provins is an authentic, medieval village, nicer in our view, than Aigues Mortes or St-Paul de Vence, if you have been to either. You must view the Tour Cesar and large church behind it lit up at night. We recommend this hotel.

Points positifs: La chambre était propre (hormis un petit papier sous le lit et des coussins tâchés sur le lit), la demeure est située dans la cité médiévale et tout se fait à pieds, pratique. Points négatifs: Personnel peu accueillant (bonne humeur, sourire, où sont-ils ?), pressé de vous montrer votre chambre et de repartir. Ensuite, il y a eu un problème avec la clim, un mauvais réglage qui a entrainé le non fonctionnement de celle-ci dans les autres appartements de la demeure. Un membre du personnel de l'hôtel est venu frapper à notre porte de chambre et a clanché la porte avant que l'on ait eu le temps de lui répondre quoique que ce soit (sûrement pressé de résoudre le problème de la clim mais où est le respect ?!) Puis, il nous a donné des explications évasives sur la clim (que toutes les clims des différents appartements devaient être réglées de la même façon etc.), explications peu claires. Nous avons donc eu froid (clim réglée à 18°C), avons mal dormi et avons eu mal au dos le lendemain matin (mauvais matelas et mauvais oreillers), nous ne reviendrons pas. J'oubliais, les différents interrupteurs ne sont pas disposés de façon logique, on ne sait donc pas à quoi ils correspondent dans un premier temps. Bref, malgré la bonne situation géographique de la Demeure, je ne recommande pas celle-ci, 145€ pour une nuit, la qualité/prix n'est pas au rendez-vous.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, taking Bus 9B(2E ea) 1km from the Provins Station and arriving at 1PM. A smiling receptionist was quick to confirm our prepaid room and provide our key card. We took their lone elevator up to the 3rd floor. Room #38, located in the back, was nicely sized with a very comfortable king bed, desk with coffee/tea & water, charging outlets and an opening window to the upper town’s 12th C Cesar tower and Collegiate church. The toilet was separated from the sink/towel warmer/shower room by a small closet with hangers, robes & safe. The nice TV included Bloomberg Europe in English. With ample nearby cafes, we declined the 15E each lobby breakfast. This quiet hotel was 180m from the lower town’s large Monoprix and 800m from the upper town’s UNESCO Caesar Keep.

Merci pour cette petite histoire merveilleuse de l'ancien emplacement du billot de la maison familiale . Ne changé rien , c'est un vrai bonheur et une merveille ce dont vous avez .
