Hotel terbaik di Bowness-on-Windermere

Saya takut bahawa Lake District terlalu sibuk untuk menempah hotel. Saya menempah hotel ini sangat awal. Fakta terbukti betul. Terlalu banyak orang di Lake District! Kami tiba pada pukul satu petang, kira-kira dua puluh minit berjalan kaki dari stesen kereta api Windermere, yang agak jauh. Hotel ini sebenarnya di Bowness, lebih dekat dengan tasik. Anda tidak boleh mendaftar masuk semasa anda tiba, anda perlu menunggu sehingga pukul dua petang. Keluarga kami terpaksa menunggu untuk mendaftar masuk pada waktu petang, dan makan sandwic yang kami bawa bersama beg pakaian kami sebagai meja. Daftar masuk tepat pada pukul dua. Bilik ini berada di tingkat tiga, tidak ada lif, tangga sangat sempit, dan agak sukar untuk membawa bagasi. Sayang sekali bahawa biliknya bagus, walaupun merupakan rumah lama, kemudahannya agak baru dan tempat tidurnya agak besar. Kurang dari sepuluh minit berjalan kaki dari tasik, lebih dekat dari stesen kereta api. Terdapat pasar raya kecil dan restoran berhampiran hotel, yang lebih senang. Perlu diketahui bahawa simpanan bagasi ditandakan di laman web. Sebenarnya, ia tidak dibenarkan untuk deposit. Berat enam paun di pusat pelawat, hanya sehingga 5 petang.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely cosy hotel, our room was very comfortable, shower was good as was the bath. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well both nights. It was very quiet. Breakfast was brought to your door in the morning at a time convenient for you and was really nice, choice of cereal, hot roll, yoghurt, juice, tea or coffee. There is a kettle with tea, coffee and milk in the room too. Wifi was good. Our host Jenny was super and very helpful with walks in the area. All in all I would definitely recommend staying here. Don't let the signs of building work outside put you off..it was not an issue at all.

An absolute gem of a B and B! Well placed for touring the Lake District. Susan and Glenn made us feel very welcome, and even offered us coffee and a mince pie on arrival. They also gave me a card on my birthday! Room 3 (Victorian Suite) was fabulous with a spacious bedroom and king-size four poster bed. The dressing room was a most useful space, and the bathroom was large and well fitted. The decor throughout the house was elegant and tasteful. The Christmas decorations, twinkling fairy lights and candles enhanced the overall ambience. The breakfasts were served in the attractive dining room, with linen tablecloths and fine china. They were plentiful and very tasty with a comprehensive choice. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge on one evening, chatting to other residents. We'll certainly return in the summer, so we can take advantage of the attractive garden. Thank you, Susann and Glenn for a most enjoyable stay.

We didn't receive check in instructions 3 days before as stated on our booking (via VRBO) so I had to contact the host. They responded quickly and said we would receive check in details on the day when the apartment was ready, which was a bit worrying! We received a text half an hour before check in. The apartment was nice but wasn't what we had booked (different aoartment!) and also had no parking despite specifically stating this on the booking. The host responded quickly and sent someone within a couple of hours to sort the beds into singles for the kids so that was fine. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot and the apartment was generally nice but unfortunately it was too noisy for me. The sweet shop downstairs plays loud radio all day and you can hear noise from other flats. Plus it's right on a road and one night we had some people loitering about outside screeching. Luckily I had earplugs! We were offered use of a parking space but there was often someone else in the space. There is a public car park across the road so it's not a big deal but the listing / booking should make this clear and not state that there is parking if there isn't. If booking via VRBO just check with the host what you are booking first!

Been to Lindeth Howe 4 or 5 times now and I make no apologies for writing another review. This place is outstanding in every way from the staff to the food and the bedrooms we cannot fault anything. Yes it isn't the cheapest place around but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and it is worth every penny. Based on Beatrix Potter as she used to own Lindeth, it is quirky without going over the top. Just one fault this time round hence the 4 star instead of 5 star when we arrived back after a walk into Bowness people were sat outside because of the nice weather. When these people went inside they left cups and glasses on the tables. The cups etc were still there the following which isn't a nice sight to look out over first thing in a morning. Might be a trivial thing but let the place down on our visit this time. This won't stop us coming back but these little things need to be addressed to keep the standards up. We have stayed at the cranleigh three times in the past 12 months and can honestly say each stay just gets better and better! Due to unfortunate circumstances we had to change our booking with less than 24 hours notice, luckily the receptionist was amazing and took into account our situation and managed to change our booking for the following day, we were incredibly grateful to her and it made our day just a little bit less stressful. We were more than ready for a break when we arrived but we felt relaxed as soon as we checked into the Passion Suite. Beautiful decor and furnishings, spa bath big enough for two and an outdoor terrace to make the most of the rare sunny day we had while enjoying the complimentary cocktails. In the evening we enjoyed cocktails at the fizzy tarte then headed to BAHA for our evening meal, both establishments are beautiful, have amazing staff and the food at BAHA was delicious! After an amazing sleep in the comfortable bed, we enjoyed our cooked breakfast delivered to our room. Such a treat to be able to enjoy breakfast in private and again it was incredible- great choice of cooked and continental options. We went home feeling pampered and relaxed after a much needed break- but we can't wait to book and visit again!

Staff are all very nice, but the whole building really needs maintenance like dinning room's roof leaking, wall paints fainting,ect.. breakfast tables ＆floor are somehow sticky. Hope seeing into renovation. Good luck!!

房間整體位置不錯，離温德米爾湖很近，不過門口那個大坡有點難爬，我們是坐599公交車來的，帶着箱子爬坡累死了。 服務很不錯，來了以後前台都很熱情，然後他們那邊的管家Mike很健談，給我們介紹了各種設施，跟娃聊的也很愉快，一去就覺得服務感受很好。 我們定的家庭房，房型很贊啊，有典型的英式窗户，有個小天窗，娃還有個自己的小房間，總之超級滿意。説到這兒得插一句，官網拍的家庭房也太難看了，一扇窗都沒拍出來，以至於我前面一直擔心這房間不透氣。 早餐依舊中規中矩，沒啥説的，小庭院不錯，來放空度假很贊。 如果以後還有機會會再次選擇住這裏，也會給朋友們推薦的。

這家酒店歷史悠久，一戰時還訓練過海軍陸戰隊。位置也很好，坐在餐廳或者户外的廊下可以靜靜欣賞温德米爾湖的陰晴雨不同景緻。酒店有自己的全日餐廳，但是菜單上的食物沒什麼吸引力，如果願意，出了酒店三兩分鐘就有google map上的高分餐廳，在湖區看到的小羊小牛和魚的味道都不錯。酒店花園裡還能看到兔子一家，確實是彼得兔的家鄉。去碼頭也很方便，可以坐渡船也可以自己租電瓶船或者手划船，我們租的電瓶船因為那天比較曬，電瓶船有遮陽篷，42磅一小時。 現在説説這家酒店的服務，前台，行李員和餐廳的女服務員在我們入住的兩天裏都提供了優質的服務，但是對餐廳那兩天當值的男服務員不滿意：客人落座了不提供餐具而是忙着收拾別的桌子，招呼了好幾次點餐視而不見甚至回覆説：我們人手少，我自助拿好了刀叉之後和一位領班模樣的男服務員描述了上述情況後還假惺惺地問我現在還需不需要刀叉，桌子上的餐盤也不能不及時來清理。另外鯡魚做的太鹹了，不主動問詢提供茶或者咖啡，甚至早餐枱上的川寧茶包盒子空了一個早晨直到閉餐都不帶補充的，就別説其他麪包等食物了，在這樣一個享有盛譽的歷史悠久的湖區酒店，這樣的服務是不可接受的。好評是第二天當值的兩位女服務員扭轉了我的感受，熱情麻利，也願意為顧客提供卓越服務。那天正好是歐洲盃決賽，酒店為客人們提供了一起看球的活動室，這點還是接地氣的。
