The room /bed great, Other guests the problem, family 5 arrived 12 midnight, back & forth BANGING CAR DOORS each time, then 3.15am their car alarm goes off, night staff phoned her and her reply ”its always doing that” My suggestion you have LARGE notice outside and in rooms (as they doo at airports) Please close you doors silently as others are sleeping 24 hours -- some travelers sleep in late so it applies in day light hours too. Receptionist Katie was very helpful re where we could have breakfast and about voucher, which we bought, good value

First time having dinner and staying at a Greene King facility, and all I can say is I’m looking forward to trying other places within the chain. Focusing on The Red Lion, all I can say is that the entire stay was fabulous. The staff either at reception, behind the bar or in the restaurant were amazing and looked after us really well. The meal was gorgeous, and extremely generous. We shared starters and then struggled to finish my main (steak and ale pie). The room was clean, charming and super comfortable. The tea and coffee facilities were probably the best ones I’ve seen (apart from hotels offering proper coffee machine access). All I’m disappointed about was not staying longer… The decor gives a lovely, warm and cosy experience all over. Parking is free and has quite a lot of spaces. Traffic wasn’t an issue for me, slept like a log !

I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager.
Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly.
Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

The manager at this IBIS was a genuine 5-Star success. He was professional, courteous, focussed and helpful. Having stayed in numerous 5-Star hotels in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai in the past 20 years (and trained staff at several hotels including Hyatt and Hilton), this guy would easily fit in with any one of them. He is that good. For an example of how customer service should look at all hotels in 2022, visit this IBIS.

We booked 3 rooms for one night as we were attending a 60th birthday party at The Sitwell Arms. The standard double rooms were just £55 per night. Rooms have been refurbished, especially bathrooms, to a very good standard. Work still ongoing but you can really see how much has been invested into the upgrade. Rooms really clean and have all the facilities I.e. tv, tea/coffee, towels, hairdryer etc. Breakfast is served just on a Sunday morning at the moment but ideal if you are attending a weekend event nearby. Bargain!!!! The food is excellent and the portions massive for the price. Rooms a little hot but air con seems to have been fitted but not up and running yet. Some rooms noisy on the roadside. These are little things compared to the value for money. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are attending events at the more expensive establishments close by.

We had our wedding here in September and we had the best day we could ever ask for. The surroundings are beautiful, food is great and decorations were set out perfectly. The bridal suite was so nice and a lot of my family stayed overnight too which was really convinient as many of them had travelled. Alison was amazing leading up to the day, especially as we planned the wedding in only 3 months! Kayleigh was great too, always answering our questions when Alison wasn't there. We were really looked after on the day itself and had so much fun. Would definetely recommend Mosborough hall as a wedding venue.

Stayed one night for a family visit to the area. It’s a very family friendly pub we had three children under six. Play area outside Children’s menu to suit all tastes. Play area in pub but is very worn needs updating. Good pub food. We didn’t have the carvery but looked inviting. Breakfast was very pleasantly served by the waitress. Rooms are spotless and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Visited Sundown adventure and this is a perfect stop over.
