First - Messonghi. It’s nice for couples that want a quiet holiday. Just 10 or so bars - couple of supermarkets. A couple of visits to the otherside of the Messonghi river looks more suitable for younger people. Apollo Palace. Big hotel - 3 swimming pools distant from each other - kids area - mixed area of adults and kids - adults only. Lots of families with young kids enjoying themselves. We stayed in the adults only section but regularly used the mixed pool which actually has a deeper pool. There are a couple of restaurants on site - but we are not foodies so we stuck with the buffet which had lots of choices and was great. The hotel has many French visitors and they tend to go where the food is good. The relatively large food halls are separated - so if you want to be away from families with kids there are sections for you. Staff. There are one or two younger staff in the buffet area that think the world owes them a living - but other than that the staff are typically Greek - which means of course they are warm friendly people. A mention to Zorba (I called him that because he reminded me of him) and his mate behind the bar outside the buffet 👍 Also the cleaning ladies from Napal who are just lovely lovely people. Natalie - who sits on a desk near reception - who was absolutely fantastic when my wife became ill. Thank you xxx And special mention to Johanna who is the meet and greet person on the door at the buffet hall. A chatty smiley beautiful person xxx All in all - a very relaxing two weeks.

Well, what can I say. This hotel ticks all the boxes. My Husband Keith and I travel a lot and have stayed in some super hotels, a lot of them from the Mr and Mrs Smith collection. This time we went with BA holidays and booked a junior suite with a private pool. The room was lovely as was the outside area. All very clean and tidy and the housekeeping was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and the beach and beach restaurant was breathtaking. The staff were just so attentive. We were in room 303 as we had asked for a suite with the sun on it all day and it was to the right hand side of the hotel complex near a rather loud bar. The first night my husband complained about the noise and customer relations were wonderful. They told us that the noise would be less by 23.00 and sure enough it was. The next day they were straight onto the case and asked if we would like to move and actually we loved our room so much and to be honest 23.00 isn’t late plus we quite enjoyed the music after all!! Anyway, the hotel staff are just exceptional, a big thank you especially to Christopher, the bar manager, Andreas, Helen and Irene, they were super stars. Plus all the customer relations and receptionists. We had another holiday booked in September to go to Croatia but we have cancelled that and are going back to the Suites! We very rarely stay twice in a place so that’s what a gem this hotel is. Gorgeous rooms, super efficient and friendly staff, delicious food and cocktails, amazing beach and bar area very relaxing live music in the evenings at the beach and lovely local restaurants to stroll to too. What more do you need to relax and enjoy!

The entire hotel is perfectly air-conditioned. The superior room is beautiful with a wonderful view of the sea and greenery in front of the hotel. It is commendable how much this hotel cares for the environment and how it maintains greenery and flowers. The staff is extremely professional, but at the same time very friendly. Everyone from the maids to the entire restaurant staff who diligently but unobtrusively take away used plates throughout the meal. The reception also deserves all the praise. The employees are very kind and solve everything with a smile so that the guest feels really welcome right from the moment he enters the hotel. The wellness center is excellent. The receptionist at the wellness center is also very kind. It can be seen that this resort is the result of great coordination and hard work of all hotel services.
