Terbaik
The ”edition” scent is everywhere and a lovely addition to the lobby and room ambiance. We're here when there are 4 hours of daylight a day, so the fact that the hotel and rooms are very dark only add punctuation to the already dark environment. The harbor room we're in has a gorgeous view of fishing boats and whale watching vessels. Shops, food, sight-seeing all within walking distance, but the streets are quite icy, so beware . . . Love the feel here in the city and in the hotel.

TTrek47718277336We had stayed at the Ruth in the days when it was managed by Rimonim. Now it is with Dan Hotels and we stayed for two nights in July. The lobby and public rooms seem very much upgraded and stylish. Buffet breakfast excellent and varied. Oranges to squeeze for fresh juice available one day for us but we were too early for them the next. We had one buffet dinner, which was of great quality (it is worth getting to the restaurant early) and had intended to do so the second night but the buffet restaurant was shut then. It would have been useful to have known that. The hotel has a new wine bar which is an atmospheric, grown-up spot, located in a converted cellar. Excellent and extensive selection of wines and a small menu of light bites. Very enjoyable. Rooms were very clean and the soft furnishings pristine but the door jambs and furniture were a little scuffed and tired. I guess these will be renewed in due course. We stayed in the Geffen rooms and had lovely views over the valley. Gardens are beautiful and there are plentiful seating areas in which to relax. We didn’t use the pool this time.
