We stayed in Shreeyog Resorts Dandeli on 22nd Dec for two nights in Standard AC Room number B-06, which was in the basement. The size of the room was quite big and spacious. Both room and bathroom were clean. We had opted for All Meals package which included 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The food served in the restaurant including buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were of good quality and taste ***** with sufficient choice. All the staff including housekeeping, restaurant and Mr. Avinash at front desk were very helpful, friendly and providing very prompt service. During our first night stay, there was a group of 20-25 people who had gathered in the lawn area enjoying bonfire at night. It started after 10pm and went on until 1am when I had to go out of my room and asked them to stop it immediately, which they agreed. It is unfortunate that people do not have common civic sense. The next day I informed about this incident to Mr. Avinash and requested him not to allow such gathering after 10pm-11pm. To which he said that they can't enforce such rules. :-( If you plan to stay in this resort, then please be aware that such thing might happen with you and you can tolerate outside noise at night.

Starling is a good property. it is right on the river side. there is a restaurant and a cafe by the river side. but they are terribly short on staff. so the property is a little run down due to lack of maintenance. example: the pool is in a bad shape - however, it is an infinity pool at the river side - would have been a charm if they fixed and cleaned it. the rooms are reasonably neat. the bathrooms are broken down - heater not working/ tap came off/ etc. but the staff are responsive and do the best they can. so the best thing would be to visit this place when it is off season, or just before or after the season - so that the place is not crowded. try weekdays also. if you visit when crowded, the stay is not likely to be pleasant.

We visited the resort post Christmas. Pros - Location, location, location - bang on the beach. Clean beach with white sand and no crowds The Superior room we stayed in, was nice, with a beach view. AC, hot water etc was functional. There are taps at the entry to the rooms to wash off the sand. The open air dining area overlooking the beach is nice. Service is good & prompt, food is good & freshly made. There are adequate sites nearby for sight seeing. There are a couple of good restaurants in Kumta offering local fare. Cons - Food does not include local cuisine, only North Indian fare. Dining tables & chairs could have been cleaner. Parking area is not paved & cars get dirty quickly with mud. There is ongoing construction at the resort.

Stayed there for 4 Days and 4 Nights. My experience was mixed with below Pros and Cons Pros: 1. Location, location and location. Its literally right on the beach with a walking time of less than a minute. Beach is secluded making it more like a private beach, 2. Property is beautiful and quite spread out. 3. Greenery all around and quite peaceful, anyone wants to chill out away from city life. 4. Service was decent. Though with limited people, they tried everything to make your stay pleasant. Cons: 1. There are insect problems (of all kinds) once the sun goes down. Furthermore, since it rained during our stay, the problem increased manifold. 2. Rooms (stayed in Super Deluxe AC Cottages) are decent and spacious but no regular clean up, more so the bathrooms. 3. Food tastes well, specially the fish items but breakfast needs huge improvement with at least some variety. 4. Approach road is patchy, more so at night, with no street lighting.

We as couples stayed here for 2 nights, 2 days
location- very spacious, property attached to beach. Room - clean, well maintained bed, ac, hot water with all required facility service - good but we felt there were only 2 servers doing all the running around in the huge property with a lot of customers campfire- was not part of facility provided but when asked for was provided
food - first day the food felt oily, taste wasn't nice nor the simple idli vada were good to eat. But post informing the owner likith. The food felt fresh and tasty unlike the previous day

PPengguna TetamuI have stayed in hotel with my family and felt very safe. Let me share my experience from the start. It is near to gokarna road railway station and reachable within 20 minutes. It is situated at the center of the gokarna from where you can go to all the beaches and temples with auto. You can find the auto’s just opposite to the hotel. Room, bed and bathroom are very clean and maintained properly. . It is newly built hotel. Staffs and security guards are very interactive and helpful. It has a big reception area with full of good sofa’s where you can have a comfort seat. Best part is the attached udupi restaurant which is pure veg and you will not regret even if you are non vegetarian. I am also a non vegetarian but due to the high quality good food, i never ate outside during my visit and also there are not much options for food outside and being such a good restaurant in hotel itself, i felt lucky. This is the best family restaurant in gokarna. People will not regret after booking this hotel.

You will be completely bowled over by the beauty of this property from the moment of arriving at the gates . The vistas are stunningly beautiful and the rooms very tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable It is a fabulous place for some relaxation after a hectic tour and we were lucky enough to spend 2 nights of the 4 in the company of the lovely owners , who treated us to a sensational open air dinner on their last night. However, it is a homestay rather than a hotel and that means that you have to be lucky as far as the other guests are concerned : Since the rooms can accommodate families, you may find yourself confronted with screaming toddlers and noisy facetime calls by the pool, as happened on our last day - which somewhat eclipsed the wonderful experience that we had had until then. For this reason, we cannot give this 5/5 especially as we found the service and the food a bit hit and miss. Our next stop was Ahilya by the sea in Goa - a similar small heritage style property - which offered a far greater choice of food with far better portions / presentation and impeccable service Like other reviewers, we also found the communication difficult at times as it is essentially via whats app . We were also surprised not to be given a map of the area and better information of what to do, especially when renting a motorcycle from them. The information on activities on offer was quite random - pushed quite heavily upon arrival before you've even unpacked and without any details or pricing . Despite promises of this being sent to our room, it never arrived - not that this mattered as we essentially wanted to relax but other guests staying at the time were offered a complimentary boat trip that was not even mentioned to us To round it off, at the time of checkout - we found items on our bill that we had not had and likewise, items missing so our final impression was that this is a stunning but rather chaotic property . We are still glad that we went and feel privileged to have stayed there but the overall service standards fail to match up to the price tag

Great place to start. Amazing view. Helpful staff. Very close to the beach. Lot of places nearby. Food is also very good. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Shivs Cave is hardly 50 meters from the hotel. One of the best hotels to stay in. gokarna. Also close to Zostel, that is has a great cafe and an equally amazing view.
