Very beautiful location, nicely kept buildings, large room. Comfy bed. Pleasant atmosphere overall. You definitely need a car, but you may also have nice walks within the large (and safe) property. The price is Ok, given that accomodation is very expensive in the area.

Be sure to arrive during the times they say because you cannot get inside the gate of you don't. Also, there were no basic toiletries in the bathroom I.E. hand soap. Transportation is limited to Uber and that is quit expensive. The owner was nice enought to drive us to the train station.

EErica CohnTwo stars because it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. Thats about it. It is certainly not a five star hotel, which it purports to be. We arrived around 8pm and advised reception that we needed to leave for the airport at five am. At some point reception advises that the booking was for one person and they had to charge us for the second. I have never heard of this! So for the extra person for our 8 hour stay, they wanted €100! What the hell for? I looked on a booking sight and showed the receptionist that I could still book a room (which would come with a free bottle of wine) for two people for exactly what I paid. Receptionist kept saying that it would be more if i booked through the hotel. Lets follow the logic here. Why would i book directly through the hotel if the same room is less on a booking sight? The most irritating part is that she kept laughing inappropriately for some unknown reason. The male receptionist kept insisting that the € 100 was for the ”free” hot breakfast. We reminded him that we had to leave before breakfast was served. He assured us that there would be a cart full of food in the morning before we left. Long story short, that did not happen. There was a cart with coffee and a few pastries. But wait, there's more! The man at the reception in the morning told us that if we had asked, they would have made us breakfast. That would have been nice if it was ever suggested by reception at check in! A real five star hotel would have just taken the initiative to prepare the bagged breakfast for us given the conversation had the night before. I also enjoyed how the staff talked down to us insisting that a €100 per person euro fee is totally normal. Because I've never stayed in a hotel before! Thats sarcasm btw. Again, this certainly was not a five star experience. And just to compare apples to apples, we stayed at a four star hotel when we arrived in bologna 10 days earlier. It was 1/5 the cost, the staff much more accommodating and was just as comfortable and nice. So do yourself a favor and ignore the alleged five star rating and save your money and nerves by staying anywhere else.

GGlobetrotter900We stayed here during a recent cosmetic show. Booked three rooms for three nights. The receptionist was unfriendly and only half-heartedly tried to be helpful. She told us she did things only as a favor to us. Calling a taxi was not consider a favor, but making a reservation at a local restaurant was. Nor was she willing to make any recommendations. The hotel has no concierge desk, even though they feel their rooms are worth 400 Euros a night. Rooms were sub-standard. We were given wheelchair accessible rooms, which we had not requested, with moldy shower curtains, defective air conditioning, insufficient lighting, and a very small bed. The quantities offered at the breakfast buffet were insufficient for the amount of guests that showed up at 7 AM, and lacked organization. There was only one coffee machine available for about 60-80 guests at a time, with long lines forming all the time. Coffee and expresso cups were not replenished in a timely manner. The acustics in the breakfast room were awful. You couldn't have a conversation without yelling across the table. Next year we will take our business somewhere else.

PPengguna TetamuLocation is very near to the bologna centrale station ~ 5 mins away. Good especially if you’re lugging a lot of luggages but quite a walk away from the main piazza shopping area ~ took us around 15-20 mins.
Room provides 3in1 cappucino and milk creamer! Not all hotels provide these. There are English Tv channels. There is pillow menu even! Room is clean, kettle is cleaned sparkly too.
Toilet light went faulty during our stay; flickering. We called reception to inform and she was supposed to call us back to let us know if their technician was still around at work to come and fix it or not but she may have forgotten to return us back the call. Checking out the next day so we didn’t bother but for guests staying longer you may have to call back reception to check….

SSiraI recently stayed at the Hotel NH Bologna de la Gare in Bologna for four nights. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:
Location:
The hotel is conveniently located near the main Bologna train station. This made it very handy for our day trips to Venice and Florence. The location is one of the best aspects of the hotel.
Room:
I booked a standard room. While it wasn’t particularly spacious, it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The cleanliness and modernity of the room were quite impressive, especially compared to some older European hotels.
Amenities:
The hotel has a notable rooftop bar that serves aperitif. It’s a nice place to unwind and enjoy a drink with a view.
Service:
The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. I arrived a bit before noon, and they let me check in early. On the day of departure, our flight was in the evening, and we were able to check out late for a fee of 10 EUR per hour after 12. The staff were quite friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Dining:
I paid for the breakfast, which was serviceable. It was adequate but nothing extraordinary.
Overall Experience:
The best part of my stay was the location. It made it very easy to explore nearby cities via train. The modern and clean room was also a big plus. I can’t think of any areas for improvement; overall, I’m quite happy with my stay.
Recommendation:
Yes, I would recommend this hotel to others, mainly for its excellent location and modern rooms. Unlike some older apartments in Europe, the rooms here are updated and comfortable.

The room was large enough but at the first glance we felt a little bit unsafe, but it was OK. However, there was a draft of cold air in the room that we could not locate, Croissants at the breakfast were the worst I have ever tasted. Please change your supplier. Stuff was kind and helpful.

PPengguna TetamuSituato vicino stazione centrale ma c’è bisogno di taxi per arrivarci … dalla stazione ci vogliono circa 7/8 minuti .., hotel molto pulito servizio alle reception veloce cordiale è molto disponibile…. camere molto belle e super tecnologiche pulizia ottima (la mia era la 339) colazione al buffet molto abbondante e tutto molto buono con soluzione diverse per soddisfare tutte le esigenze …. con il taxi con una decina di minuti si raggiunge subito il centro .., lo consiglio vivamente a tutti … aggiungo per concludere qualità del sonno ottima e doccia nel bagno maxxi ….. da provare assolutamente

Despite the closeness to the Bologna railway station the place is set back, quiet and green, with a large outdoor area for relaxation. PPengguna TetamuOn first approach, it was clear to see that this hotel is quite far out from the city centre however explains why the prices are a lot cheaper. My partner and I stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights and I must admit, we loved the room and overall feel of the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept amazingly!! If it was just based on rooms alone, we would give this hotel five stars. However… We booked this hotel mainly because it had a pool. When we asked about the pool, we were informed we needed to book a 1 hour slot if we wanted to use it during that day. This was due to covid measures which were still in place at the hotel. So we did. Booked a 1 hour slot for the pool the following evening. When we arrived at the pool on the lower level, we noticed that the changing rooms were locked and the showers were turned off…due to Covid. Now I would typically understand some reasoning for certain covid rules but this just seemed ridiculous. A couple who were using the pool in the hour slot before us informed us to use the small shower cubicle to get changed as this had a frosted glass door on it and is the only bit of privacy you get down there. So we did! We ended up booking the pool out another two times on our stay but as reception advised following our first pool visit, get changed in your rooms then head down to the pool (assuming you don’t need to get the key from reception to unlock the pool). Towels were provided by poolside although on the first day, there was only one towel left for the two of us. On my final visit to the pool on the morning before we left, I had to go to reception in my swimming trunks because the pool was locked. Something I felt uncomfortable doing in the first place but as there was no changing facilities and the towels were locked by poolside, I reluctantly went to reception where the man behind the desk got angry at me being there in my swimming trunks. Simple solution would be to open up the changing facilities down by poolside to prevent this but hey, that was too obvious. Upon pointing out the fact that the changing facilities in his hotel were locked because they won’t open them due to Covid (which he should have known), he eventually calmed down and mentioned he understood. On our visit we also used the electric bikes which were at reception for a full day at the cost of €25 per bike per day. The system is far to complicated for what it needs to be and should be made simpler by just having reception deal with the booking. Once eventually booked, we were given the keys to the 2 bike locks, helmets and some netting for our hair (another odd covid measure which doesn’t make much sense as you will sweat through the netting anyway). As I was away to take the bikes out, I noticed that all four tyres were flat. Surely this should be inspected by the staff before the bikes are taken out?! Unfortunately staff appeared clueless on what PSI the tires had to be at and as he pumped up the first

PPengguna TetamuWe have arrived to Social Hub in Bologna for our Easter break. Check in was easy - although a bit surprised we had to pay further bill for our stay (city tax wasn’t apparently included in the booking).
The communal space is as on the photos. We haven’t used many amenities as the pool was still closed and when we asked about pink pong rackets there were never available (even though nobody played at the time). But I particularly liked the fact most of the plants were actually real. That was a lovely touch.
We opted out from having the breakfast (for 12.50€ per person) and had coffee and croissants instead which worked out much cheaper.
Our room was spacious (lovely high ceiling) and perfectly clean. Perhaps a little armchair would be nice as it felt a bit empty with just a desk & chair, bed and simple clothes shelving. But for short stay it was ok. There was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room. Just some water bottles. The rest was a payable mini bar. The TV had only one English speaking channel (BBC news) and wasn’t compatible for mirror screening with iPhones (Androids only).
Bathroom was super clean. We found the water pressure a bit low but still manageable.
Overall it’s a nice place to stay as it’s conveniently placed a stone throw from the train station and walking distance from the old town. Staff was friendly and helpful.
