We stayed here for a night and it was a real magical experience. My partner and I wanted an authentic ryokan experience for our trip in Japan and read about Kinosaki Onsen town on reddit. So glad to have found this cosy and quaint ryokan! It's pretty easy to navigate the area around this ryokan (they give you a map to all the onsens and the ryokan's location is pretty convenient and really close to the main river). The room we got was pretty big for the 2 of us - with a wardrobe, hangers, sink, bathroom (with no showers since you'd be onsen-hopping most of the time there), vanity area and futons to sleep on! When we arrived they had prepared green tea for us and presented us with origami umbrellas as gifts! We were also given an all-access pass to the 7 public onsens in the town and yukatas that we could wear when we go onsen-hopping. We also arranged for a Kanizukushi (Crab Kaiseki) course for dinner which was an amazing feast with fresh seafood and snow crabs. If you're looking for a wholly authentic Japanese experience, I highly recommend this place. It's even better in winter - We came at a perfect time - it snowed heavily overnight and we woke up to a winter wonderland. (Just prepare yourself as you may get snowed in and expect some delays with train lines if you want to come here in winter!)

チェックイン（15時少し前）に到着し年配の大女将らしき方が「まだ時間前だから荷物はその辺に置いといて」と指差し指示、預かり札も何も無し。夕食時は食事場所隣接の厨房で従業員さん達が大声でペチャクチャペチャクチャうるさいのなんの、配膳係の方は少人数でやっているから忙し過ぎるのか配膳しながら「ゼーゼーハーハー」息切れしながら食器をガチャガチャガチャガチャ引きずりながら状態で落ち着いて食事も出来ない状態。極め付けは朝食後（8時）部屋へ戻るなり間髪入れず扉をノックされ開けようとガタガタ、「何か忘れ物でもしたかな？」と思い「はい」と返答すると「すいませ〜ん宿泊代金精算してくださ〜い」と一言。客側としては「は？いきなり何言ってる？」となりますよね、しかもチェックアウトは10時。私達（他のお客さんも同じ扱いでしたが）が宿泊逃げでもすると思われたんでしょうかね（汗）とにもかくにも全くのんびりする事が出来ない宿でした。

If you're thinking about staying at a ryokan in Kinosaki, this is the place to go. It's the smallest (in terms of the number of rooms offered) but the most highly coveted inn in the neighborhood, and for good reason. Kazuyuki-san and his family are the ultimate hospitality connoisseurs, genuinely passionate about providing the best experience for their visitors and sharing their culture. It truly felt like staying at a five-star hotel with meals comparable to Michelin-star dining, without any pretentiousness. Only a 4-5 minute easy stroll from the train station, Kojinmari is nestled among charming shops and onsens. This is extremely convenient for onsen hopping, shopping, and making day trips. It's also right across from a gorgeous canal. If you get a room with a direct view, you'll enjoy the sight of the mountains, koi fish swimming about, and locals crossing the bridge. The rooms are incredibly spacious for two people, and the entire building has been renovated with great care, reflecting a deep investment in customer comfort. The quality of the natural materials used in the rooms and furniture is evident, from the organic bedsheets to the design-centered furnishings. The space was incredibly comfortable, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and offered the best matcha we've tasted in Japan, along with a red bean snack. Kazuyuki-san later delivered our luggage to the room and provided us with a clipboard of helpful information on dining and visiting sites. Of the seven onsens, he suggested the top three, which were spot on. Although we didn’t experience the dinner, the breakfast was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach, artfully prepared by the grandmother. Before discovering Kojinmari, I had considered other ryokans in the area due to high reviews and affordability. I'm so glad I didn't settle. Upon visiting a few of these highly-rated ryokans in person, the conditions, noise levels, and sheer number of foreign guests were overwhelming. Staying at Kojinmari was undoubtedly the most authentic and exceptional experience, service, and accommodation I have experienced in Japan. I cannot give this place enough stars. 10/10. Three things to note: 1) Be sure to bring cash, as you'll need to pay for the onsen pass or ”tax” for the seven onsens depending on how you booked. 2) We had no issues communicating with Kazuyuki-san in English, but be sure to have the Google Translate app ready just in case you'd like to have in-depth conversations. 3) The first floor of the inn is a shop that sources quality gift items from all over Japan. Most of the unique souvenirs can't be found at other shops, so if something catches your eye, get it!

ここの口コミに加え、予約した楽天トラベルの口コミでも、評価が高かったので泊まってみました。口コミ通りのとてもよいお宿でした。どなたにもおすすめできます。 【お部屋】 行者が足の不自べべな高齢者だったので、ベッドのある和洋室に泊まりました。ツイン・ベッドルームと和室という構成ですが、和室には座卓＆座椅子ではなくテーブル＆椅子がセットされており、部屋食も楽にいただけました。洗面所やトイレも使い易い位置にありました。部屋風呂はありませんが、貸切風呂が部屋の目の前にあって移動も楽でした。加えて、この部屋の素晴らしいところは、ハイサッシ窓８枚分の大画面のリバービューです。遮る物や無粋な人工物もなく、円山川と対岸の山並みが見え、水鳥たちが遊ぶ姿をゆったりと眺めることができます。温泉街から離れている立地にあるからこその絶景です。 【お風呂】 温泉大浴場は内風呂のみですが、お部屋と同様、リバービューの気持ちのよいお風呂でした。加えて無料の温泉かけ流しの貸切風呂があり、介助が必要なツレと入るのには便利で有難かったです。温泉街までは歩くと距離がありますが、朝も晩も専用車で随時送迎をしてくれるので外湯めぐりにも不便はありません。雨天のときや寒い時期は、送迎のない温泉街の中の宿より、送迎のある離れた立地の宿の方が便利だと思いますよ。 【お料理】 蟹のシーズンでしたが、他の機会に食す予定があったので、ここでは通常の基本コースをいただきました。夕食は部屋食でくつろいでいただけました。コースの最後のご飯が、釜めしか海鮮丼かを選べるのは嬉しいサービスでした。朝食はレストランコーナーで和定食でしたが、デザートのソフトクリームだけはセルフで食べ放題でした。ソフトクリーム好きのツレは大喜びでいただきました。きっと、お子さんたちにも喜ばれるでしょう。朝からソフトクリーム食べ放題なんて夢のようですからね(笑)。 【アメニティ】 ひと工夫があって感心しました。温泉宿にはよく大浴場に小物を持っていくさいに使う「お宿のロゴ入りのビニールの小袋」がありますよね。このお宿のはビニール袋の中が2つに仕切られていて、一方に入浴後に濡れたタオルを入れても、濡らしたくない小物類をもう一方に入れておける、というスグレ物でした。当方、これまで宿泊した温泉宿は50軒以上になりますが、このスタイルの袋は初めてで感動しました。加えて、宿ロゴ入りの入浴タオルにも工夫がありました。全体的には白いタオルなのですが、両サイドに色付きのラインが入っているもので、ラインの色の違いで、同宿者のだれのタオルかを識別できるように配慮してありました。こういう工夫をしている宿は他にもありますが、この価格クラスの宿ではなかなかないので感心しました。タオルの色を変えたり、歯ブラシの色を変えたり、といったことは面倒だし、場合によってはコストがかかるのかもしれませんが、お客にとっては有難い配慮です。こういう細かい点に目が配られている宿は本当にいい宿です。 【ホスピタリティ】 女将さんははじめ、皆さんとても親切で感じがよいです。細かいところにできる限りの配慮と工夫を心がけていらっしゃるなぁ、と感じる点が多々ありました。高齢者にもお子さんにも優しい、とても温かい宿です。 【コスパ】 今回は全国旅行支援を使ったのでお得に泊まれましたが、割引なしのお値段でも、コスパは良好だと思います。旅行支援が終了しても、楽天トラベルの割引などを使ったり、平日泊にすれば、今後もお得に泊まれると思います。

泉都さんの面玄関は御所の湯の斜め前という最高のローケーション、城崎温泉で一番の賑わいで、夜遅くまで明るく楽しくお買い物やお散歩ができます。今回は外湯を楽しみながら、フルーツジュースやカフェでコーヒー、夜は地ビールと楽しみました。泉都さんの一つのもう一つの強みは内湯です。畳のお風呂、これはなかなか説明しにくいですが、気に入りました。お食事は部屋食のプランでしたので、次回は外でお食事もいただきたいと思っています。最上階で露天風呂もあり、景色もよく部屋の清掃も行き届いていてゆっくり過ごすことができました。部屋でWi-fiはお部屋には届かないのですが、広いロビーでは使えるようでしたがとくに不便はありませんでした。 コロナ対策はしっかりとされていて、お風呂(外湯があるので)も他のかたと会うことはありませんでした。スリッパがチェックアウトまで個人用で管理できるのは良いことだと思います。コロナ禍で無くとも続けて欲しいです。

The staff were helpful and friendly, although the do not speak much English. The cleanliness of room was good except that the cupboard doors and walls are quite stained and old. The shuttle service was very good with nice drivers. Facilities and amenities were very exclusive and good. So was the breakfast! Wish we had more time to explore their facilities. Overall a wonderful experience
