A gorgeous hotel, with lovely staff. The rooms are beautiful with a balcony outside. Ours looked into the courtyard, complete with banana trees. The Wi-Fi was good, as was the air conditioning. The hotel manager picked us up from the train station for a small charge, and took us to the waterfalls. Breakfast included coffee and croissants and guava jam and fresh pineapple juice and French toast. It was a great place to relax and very central, so exploring Luang Prabang on foot was easy.

Good: The staff are fantastic—truly helpful and have the perfect attitude. They genuinely assist in solving any issues, rather than just pretending to. The breakfast is great as well.
Bad: The rooms, though spacious, suffer from absurd design. Indeed, the open bathrooms and toilet doors with large gaps provide no privacy (noise and smell), as they each open directly into the bedroom. If one person is sleeping, they will be disturbed if the other goes to the bathroom during the night or wakes up earlier. Even more problematic is that the light for both the open shower and the toilet is controlled by the same switch. This means that if someone uses the toilet at night, the light for the shower, which has a glass door facing the room, also turns on, making it impossible not to wake the other person.
The second issue is the single-pane windows, which fail to block out external noise. Since the hotel is located right on a main road, it becomes noisy as early as 6:00 AM, even with the windows closed, due to the sound of motorcycles common in the area.
If you're traveling alone and aren't too bothered by morning noise, this is a perfectly acceptable option.
My advice to the owner: You have a fantastic team, so take advantage of that and invest in improving the room design. This is your part.

ルアンパバーン世界遺産地区中心部にあり徒歩数分で世界遺産地区の主要観光地、屋台街へ行けて非常に便利です。 大通りから１本細道に入るので大通り沿いよりも閑静です。 方向音痴の方は細道に迷う可能性があります。 整備不良、営業許可のない違法レンタルバイク屋が多くありますが、この宿泊施設では問題ありません。 宿泊者でなくてもレンタルバイクだけの利用が出来ます。 洗濯物の依頼も可能ですし、旅行者自信で選択して干すスペースもあります。

I have visited Luang Prabang several times and Elephant Boutique Hotel is always my top choice. The rooms are very comfortable and always incredibly clean. The AC/fan are great and the water is hot and a good pressure. Breakfast is delicious and very good value — lots of coffee, juice, fruit, western or Lao choices. At night, it is quiet and you get a great night’s sleep. Easy to come back later (for bowling…) or leave early in the morning (for the monks etc) if needed. Most importantly, the owners are fantastic. They are very welcoming, trustworthy and honest. They can take care of any request: tours, transport (trains and buses), laundry, money exchange, city tips etc. They have always proved reliable. I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting Luang Prabang — value for money it is fantastic.

Hotel is OK. The staff very friendly and go out of their way to help out with everything. I got a good for my money. I had to clean the air conditioning filters, it looked like it had not been done for quite some time. Had a storm Monday day, and a few leaks in the bathroom area and on the covered deck. No problem though recommend for the budget travel. no

Great hotel in Luang Prabang, they upgraded our room to a suite which made our stay even more comfortable. The food is delicious and we were satisfied with the choices, we ate many meals because the service and quality was so good (spring rolls were our favorite). The weather was hot and having a swimming pool was super refreshing. The location is a little far from the old town, but they offer a free shuttle so it's still a convenient location.

The pool is small but had lots of available comfy seating and was very clean.
Breakfast is in a beautiful setting and the service and food were excellent. The menu has lots of options.
Excellent service from reception to housekeeping - the complimentary water, fruit baskets and night time cookies were appreciated.
Free bicycle hire and reception can organise trips.
The location is okay, a 5-10 minute walk to the main area but that gives you an experience of local life as you pass through the narrow streets.
There was some road noise - motorbikes etc but im not sure where you can avoid this in Luang Prabang or even SE Asia. If you are bothered by it, ear plugs will be useful.
No noise from any neighbours.
The room was a good size with a big balcony overlooking the gardens. Lots of stuff provided e.g toiletries, safe, tea, 3 in 1 coffee - you don't need to bring. (Cant remember seeing a razor but tbh hotel ones are never good so i bring my own).
TIP: try not to rely on ATMs here, the charges are expensive. Either bring your own currency and exchange at one of the banks here (i got a good rate) or bring Kip. Many places also accept Thai baht and some US $.
The hotel has water so being mosquito spray (housekeeping also offered this).

It is basically located at the very centre of LP peninsula. It is not facing the main road (which is good) but it is located just 45 secs walk from the main road. Just next to the villa, there is a very simple and compact grocery store. within 5 mins, there are cafes, souvenir shops, pharmacy and also very near to the 2 rivers that made up the LP peninsula. Going down the hill, there is the mighty river Mekong, which is very beautiful during sunset. Going uphill which is not steep, there is Nam Khan River. Within 10-15 mins walks, I can reach the Royal Palace, Phousi Hill, Night Market and the morning market. The location is SUPER PERFECT. Reception and Service : We arrived at the city around 9.20am. 26th August 2022 which is a blessing. We didnt know that there is Boat Racing Festival, the city is basically dead congested. The tuktuk driver dopped us at Dara Market and we had to walk all the way to the hotel (3km) with 7kg rucksack on our back. We reached the hotel around 10am. To our surprise, we were told that our room is ready and voila, the reception guy let us go in the room 4 hours early with ZERO charge. The recep made a lot of suggestion and had plenty of topics to talk to us. He suggested us to visit the Boat Racing Festival because it is the last day. So we followed his advice and we got to celebrate it like a local. The festival itself is amazing. The recep always helpful to us and always smile. We feel really welcome. We always get a massive greet whenever we come back to the villa. Room : I remember specifically that I book a deluxe room but we got a triple room. That free upgrade came with ZERO costs to our wallet. The room is spacious. The AC is cold. The fridge is working well. The bathroom is massive, and hot water working perfectly. The mattress is soft and despite the wooden exterior, I felt quiet whenever we enter the room. However, there is no elevator provided. Disable people might have to contact the villa if you want to book so you can request for lower room specifically. And since LP is such a charming little town, most of the hotels in the city are also 2 stories with no elevator for sure. I love the room and the cleanliness. Facility : As per said, there are no elevator and the upper room isnt accessible to people with disability. There is a small front yard where tourists can park motorcycle. Breakfast : People choose breakfast from the menu provided. We only get to try the breakfast once because the second day, we went to Tad Sae around 7am. The noodle soup is delicious and we love the fruit plate. The eating area is small, good for chatting with other travelers. But it is simply kept clean at all time. Sleep Quality : 9.9/10. They had refreshments already in our rooms which was very convenient and the best part was they can check in our bags, weight, and get the luggage tag being they had connections we Lao Airlines. The specified features of the premium room included a 'private spa', balcony and queen sized bed, all absent. Refrigerator did not work. The room I received was priced about $12 per day less than what I paid for. Free breakfast is included and provided by a separate restaurant on the Mekong (nothing special but OK). Another seemingly minor but annoying aspect was the lack of hot water. No kettle provided but there was a water dispenser with hot water option which also did not work.
The reserved room with balcony was upstairs, however was shunted very quickly upon check-in into a standard twin room situated 3m from the reception desk. Not the end of the world but in hindsight irritating and just took the edge off my stay in Luang Prabang. Overall not too bad but overpriced, especially considering the items absent or malfunctioned.

GGenya2kI had a very comfortable time in this place. What amazed me the most was the service provided by the host. He offered me a bigger room than the one I booked, then in the evening took me to the downtown and back by scooter (I didn’t want to walk in the dark on my first night), and in the morning he took me to a bike rental and helped to get the best deal. Very kind and friendly! The room was great, spacious and quiet, well-maintained and clean. I also could do my laundry for free, and dry my clothes at the backyard. The location is tad remote from the downtown but I preferred it this way, tranquil and more local. Also, there’s an amazing pizza place on the same street, you have to check it out! Wishing the best of luck to the owners!

KK.-The staffs are very friendly. Even though English is not their first language, they utilize translation app and enjoy the conversation with the guests. Very open-minded.
-The room is super clean.
-The location is a bit away from the historical area (30mins+ on foot) but you can enjoy the local life along the way to the area.
It was my first trip to Laos, and only for two days, but it became a very pleasant stay. Would love to visit again.

The weather is super hot in summer. The only advantage is that it is also very bright in the morning. After watching Busch, I can go directly to the morning market. Buddhism is the monks who receive food from people, but the monks only accept the quantity needed, and then give back the excess to other needy poor people, feeling the baptism of the mind and the power of faith in simple rituals.
Wat Xieng Thong
走走遍天下XZXiangtong Temple, the only royal monastery in Luang Prabang, reveals the "tree of life" of causal reincarnation, the reclining Buddha, and the old abbot are the three treasures of the town temple. It is said that before the monastery was built, there was a towering tree here, and later on the back wall of the temple painted this "tree of life", the above pattern is a Buddhist legend of the causal cycle. The old abbot is on the right hand side of the Buddha in the temple, next to the photos of the old abbot, lifelike.
