Hotel terbaik di Mauritius

Just got home from what has been an unbelievable stay at the Maritim Resort and Spa. What makes this resort so special are the people who work there. Everyone we encountered were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. I have left a separate review for the Maritim Equestrian Centre which are the stables within the resort - I have to mention them again here, because it was Dario (who is the stable manager) and Deepak (who works alongside him) that are the true stars of this resort. They deserve a huge bonus! Their expert advice, amazing equestrian knowledge and experience, plus their obvious love and care for their horses, dogs and other animals made this holiday truly unforgettable. I can’t thank them enough. The other members of staff who deserve a special mention are Sanjeev, Krishna, Dhruv and the lovely Papay by the pool. All went way beyond what is required of them at work and looked after us every day. Everything about this resort is fantastic - but these amazing people are why I have given 5 stars!

Mauritius was truly amazing and wonderful with all its incredible natural wonders to see. But also the staff at the Radisson Blu hotel at Poste Lafayette were also truly amazing and wonderful but were also incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They totally looked after our dietary needs, food was excellent and the hotel was always very clean. The rooms are clean and tidy with almost every room has a sea view, with the exception of the standard garden rooms. It is very difficult to single out any of the staff, as everyone one was fantastic. But I do need to say that Shantanu, Harry, Nishta, Julian, Rahul, Samuel, etc. we’re first class but also the list just keeps going and going with all the staff at the hotel., who made our holiday so special. They all just do their job to a 5 star service standard but with amazing smiles. This is from the reception team, throughout the restaurant’s team up-to the hotel entertainment team. We have made some incredible friends, including the hotels taxi driver Vinay who drives and guides people on fantastic island trips, This was an holiday that words can not express how good the hotel and its staff are. We were truly blessed by going to this hotel and meeting up with the staff and the people of the island. Mauritius, we will be back. Very soon.

Le Jadis is a small good looking place but it does not feel like a 5 star resort. What needs MAJOR improvement: -The room could use more cleaning, but it’s acceptable. -The biggest issue is customer service: staff are impersonal. We were unsure where to go upon arrival, and welcoming drinks were inconsistently offered. We did not get any. There was no proper greeting. -Despite mentioning my birthday on a pre-arrival form, nothing was done to acknowledge it. I brought my own cake, so it wasn’t necessary, but what is the point of asking if there will be nothing complimentary upfront?! -We had to find our own table at the restaurant for dinner the first night. -We asked staff to store our cake, and the restaurant directed us to the reception, where we were told to handle it ourselves due to staff shortages. Eventually it was all sorted out but this is not something you should tell guests. -Upon departure, the reception staff merely handed us our bill with a simple “thank you”, without any personal farewell. In true 5-star resorts, staff typically inquire about our stay and invite us to return. Here, it felt like they didn’t care. What’s good? You can enjoy everything that is included in your package well. No one will bother you. You can have your own private pool. The hydrotherapy is very nice if it’s in your package. Food: Okay. 5 out of 10. Big positive: -We met Ruben. Nice guy. He really cared and was receptive to feedback. We told him that it’s more like a self service resort. Do your thing and leave. He ensured we got a complimentary birthday cake and fruit platter. (That was after we gave him feedback). He told us he will take it on him to convey that training is needed for the staff. We really appreciated him. He knows how to make guests feel valued. -Private pool and hydrotherapy 9/10 ! VERDICT: I’d recommend Le Jadis for a quick stay, family time, or a get-together, and if you are not picky on food. However, don’t expect top-tier guest service or true 5-star treatment unless staff undergo proper training and improvements are made. Disclaimer: We are locals.

Séjour du 9 au 22 janvier 2024 – villa n° 206 Nous ne laissons que très rarement des commentaires sur les réseaux sociaux, à tort ou à raison, mais cette expérience vaut d’être racontée. Nous avons été admirablement ravis de nos deux semaines passées à l’hôtel Oberoi - Mauritius et ne pouvons que le recommander à tous ceux qui cherchent de la détente, dans un environnement paradisiaque et dans une structure luxueuse, avec un haut niveau de services. L’évasion commence tout juste après la réservation, à quelque 9’000km de là. L’équipe de la réception et de la conciergerie s’est montrée réactive et très à l’écoute pour organiser notre séjour avant notre arrivée. Vinay, le chauffeur, sera le premier visage de l’Oberoi que nous rencontrons. Durant le trajet depuis l’aéroport, dans une luxueuse berline, il nous plonge dans l’ambiance mauricienne et nous présente l’hôtel avec éloquence, ce qui laisse présager le meilleur. Il nous tend sa carte de visite, se rendant disponible pour les jours à venir. Arrivés à l’hôtel, un accueil personnalisé avec check-in directement dans votre villa : l’exclusivité (c’est ça, le vrai luxe !) se fait sentir et règnera pour le reste du séjour. Le personnel a veillé à notre confort de manière très professionnelle, tout en conservant une chaleur humaine : on se sent comme à la maison, en famille presque, avec néanmoins toujours la distance requise. Nous nous sommes sentis considérés et cela constitue l’une des forces de l’établissement. Nous tenons à remercier, très chaleureusement les employés de l’Oberoi, qui ont contribué à rendre notre séjour exceptionnel : • Aux restaurants et private dining : Aum, Chris, Nirvan, Oomar, Prakash, Rabin, Vashish, Yodish qui ont su nous conseiller, ravir nos papilles, préarer de délicieux cocktails avec un service toujours impeccable et en particulier Shaan, pour sa générosité, qui a tout mis en œuvre pour rendre notre séjour extraordinaire et nous faire sentir uniques et privilégiés, • Pour le Housekeeping : Ashwinta, Huvish, Neetu, Vasudha et Vinesh qui ont su crééer dans notre villa une veritable résidence secondaire luxueuse, dans laquelle rien n’a jamais manqué, • Au Spa : Anjanee, Hasna, Isabelle, Naina, Rachna qui ont pris soin de nous avec des massages de très grande qualité, dans un environnement luxuriant et propice à la détente, • Et bien sûr Henrio, ce « sage » qui a pris soin de notre esprit avec ses cours privés de Yoga, Taï Chi, Relaxation & Respiration. Nous emmenons et garderons ses conseils précieux. Nous souhaitons aussi exprimer notre gratitude à toutes celles et ceux qui sont dans l’ombre (garçon de piscine, jardinières et jardiniers, employés de maintenance, etc.) et incontestablement les chefs et les équipes de cuisine, qui collaborent discrètement à l’excellence de cet établissement. Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

Anantara is a very beautiful resort. Decor is top notch and comfortable. The staff provides excellent service and assistance is always available. The resort is a beach front property with a lot of activities. This property is amazing and you won’t go wrong by choosing it. Yusef , Cintia, Karim, Sharonne, Paul, and many more of the staff ( I’m bad with names) , will attend to all your needs.
