We returned to visit Makunudu Island in January. It’s as charming as ever with fantastic staff . The transfer was efficient . There was a slight delay for the boat as guests were gathered. On arrival we received a wonderful greeting from staff and General Manager Mr Shaughy and were presented with a handcrafted necklace which was quite unique. Our bungalow for the 2 weeks had been upgraded with a patio area and refurbished bathroom . A great improvement with the bathroom , it appeared more spacious and newly tiled with an excellent shower . The huge bed was decorated with flowers and wine and fruit had been left for our enjoyment. Ibrahaim took care of the room and was such a joy to see each day , always laughing and smiling and checking everything was ok . The room was cleaned to a very good standard . Weather was mixed on our first week , spells of rain and a few thunderstorms which I really enjoyed! It passed and thankfully the sun returned. It was great to see our waiter from last year Lasantha , so friendly and did a wonderful job . He was on the ball with everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals . I think the standard was even better this year . Plenty to choose from , a varied menu with some creative ideas . Maldivian night was deliciously spicy, a real treat . We had the opportunity to see a Cookery demonstration which was quite expensive for what it was . It was supposed to be for an hour but was over too quickly and for $30 per person did not feel good value . We did get to sample the curry created at dinner that evening though . Fantastic to see KD and Saif at the Dive and Watersports Centre. We always have fun with these guys . Went on a few snorkel trips and were lucky enough to go out on the speedboat and see the Manta rays this year. KD took us on a Catamaran trip around the island . It wasn’t quite as windy as he would have liked ( likes to go fast apparently) but was a really pleasant trip and a chance to chat and learn a bit about life in the Maldives . Always worth a trip to the Spa , I visited a couple of time , it was bliss ! Bar guys with their eagle eyes never miss an empty glass and regularly kept us well replenished . Each one is very friendly and efficient. The only thing we would request would be more evening entertainment. We missed the Maldivian drummers and a chance to dance would have been fun 🤩. Sadly the rain did stop some of the planned activities our first week and we didn’t get the chance to experience Bonfire on the Beach night . But Movie Night on the beach was a lovely idea . We would highly recommend Angelfish as the travel agent for the Maldives . They are super professional with a few surprise treats involved which was very much appreciated. Apart from the changes in the weather patterns, Makunudu continues to get full marks from us and will always have a special place in our hearts 💕 . It’s still an authentic, friendly, peaceful, well managed island that we would definit

This was amazing place, even despite coming in October during rainy season. Service was exceptional from the begging- person awaiting us on the airport, speed boat transfer late evening, with nice welcome and service (water/towels/wifi) We arrived late evening, so dinner packages were ready in the room. All Incl package was nice however we missed some food in between breakf-lunch and dinner. Issue is wifi which was not working properly/everywhere. Normally i think its ok as we do not need internet on such vacations, but as we needed to work one day it was hard. Again anyways. Great service. Hospitality of staff in restaurant and bar too. Also reception who gave us a chance of later checkout. It was very convenient as we travelled with 2yrs old toddler. Room was spacious, kept clean every day properly + water bottles delivered daily. Good snorkling trips for free provided daily.

Just returned from this beautiful island. Had a great time, relaxing, snorkelling, eating, and a few cocktails. The marine life is great. We swam with sharks and turtles nearly every day. Lucky enough to see two sting rays. We took the dolphin trip and had a pod playing alongside the boat. The food is good, I found something I enjoyed every day. Yes, it's not 5 stars, and the rooms are dated. But I don't go to the maldives to sit in my room. The staff are all friendly, gave us advice on where to see certain marine life. Our room was immaculately cleaned twice a day by Abier. He even brought me a coconut. He noticed we drank more water than the daily allocation, so brought us more. He was so lovely. We met so many fun people from all over the world had such. Shout out to the Portsmouth two, keep enjoying the footy. The crackers Ely crew who made us laugh so much and the Dublun duo who had so many interesting stories. The point here is, I've been to the maldives a number of times, and people on this island are all friendly they want to chat and have fun. The island is going to be upgraded and rebranded with a name change. I really hope this doesn't spoil the authenticity of this affordable island. It really is beautiful.

Definetely recommend to everyone to stay. Room was wide and comfortable. Ocean is incredible with turquoise color. Staff was friendly and helpful. Many kind of food was delicious. Trip.com provided the cheapest reservation option for us. So thank you all for this lovely vacation.

I am Manish Biyani from Indore (INDIA). We stayed 2 days in the Taj Exotica & next 2 days in the Taj Coral in a water villa (marvelous room) on our 25th Anniversary with special cake and flowers, Excellent stay with good hospitality. Special thanks to the INDIAN CHEF from DELHI (excellent preparation of vegetation food) and Mr SHEEJU FNB manager for making us special on our anniversary by providing a beachside superb gala dinner at night, especially for vegetarians, I must say big thanks to CHEF (forgot his name may be Mr Praveen). The property is superb and compared to Taj Exotica, all things are near rooms. will suggest one small thing for some waiters to make more clarity and make them more comfortable while asking for food from Guests, ADMIN STAFF INCLUDING THE GENERAL MANAGER are smiling faces and excellent people. photo booth experience was not good. i must say take an appointment for a photo when you reach because after reaching and taking lunch, within 2 hours I reach and they said that there is no slot for taking photo till our checkout. BUT we G.M. help me with his team to take some photos by our mobile. Overall stay was marvelous. we will miss this time. thanks, Taj Coral team.

We are ********* married couple , it's ours first time to take vacation for 5 nights in Maldives,also ours first time to buy Resort with Trip.com... not from travel Agency near my home.We buy tickets direct from Airline.Every things going perfectly..First,I have to say 謝謝 trip.com .very fast response to friendly phone service to check out and confirm resort received my full payment ,we will buy trip again with trip.com. they have better price than others and reliable phone service! We usually buy from booking.com.but service with phone and fast response.trip.com.much better. FOR Resorts. Oblu Sangeli..They have good employees.working with truly friendly to customers.big smile. treat us very nice.not because we are *********, speak Chinese , Asian or any reason treat us not same with European customers like other place.it shows Oblu Sangeli Choose nice employees.with big heart.The food in Sangeli buffet was ok.good enough.not the best.but we no need to eat or drink too much.because we choose all inclusive.we paid also for happy employee to treated us nice and employed take care resort environment.We are happy to walk down to ocean.no need to diving already can see beautiful fishes.for people like me scared of sharks or deep water.you may come to Only service hope Resort improve.. service for gifts .must improve.if resorts want some nice customers coming back.must touch their heart and needs..no need give 3 candles meals,but want give nice shoes customers alread wear.or give papper name card not good material of Resort name card to put on luggage! .. 3 candles dinner meals to us very nice.but we refused .we know more expensive but not what we want..better to give free flip flops.put flower on bath foam..No do same gifts.if Resort try to touch customers ,We gave tip for thank you.never for buy service.because we paid for service within all inclusive..However.喜歡白色沙灘，喜歡看魚又害怕潛水的人，可以來這裡，水很淺就有珊瑚礁魚群 .非常棒的地方,可以盡情享受的飲食，音樂，環境，服務的人員非常友善.不會要求給小費，但是我們還是建議要給小費，因為謝謝人家，除了工作，還特別的真誠當朋友，小費只是給他們買飲料或是小禮物，尤其是對那些辛苦工作，對待我們是除了工作外，你能感受到的真心，不是為了小費，也不是盡責在工作而已的，當我們是朋友的聊天還有提供很棒的服務.

رحلة كانت تفوق الخيال ، والفيلا تتمتع بخصوصيه عاليه بالمسبح أنصح فيها وبشدة ، وأشكر كل الشكر للمرافق من أول مادخلت المنتجع الى أن غادرت ياسين شكرا جزيلا خدمة أكثر من رائعة وسوف أراكم مرة اخرى بالقريب العاجل..

One of the best resorts we have been to. Rooms are spacious. Service is impeccable. Food is great. Price is on the high side, but I still feel we got value for our money. Highly recommended.
