Hotel terbaik di Horst

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the highway. Unfortunately, I had a room that was on the highway facing side of the hotel, so you had to have the windows closed in order not to hear the noise of the passing cars. I was a little surprised because the booking was made directly through the hotel's website. It is said that you usually only get slightly inferior rooms when you book through an accommodation booking website. The room was otherwise quite okay, everything was clean, but the furnishings were a bit plain and functional. The hotel has its own parking lot, but I found no space there, because the hotel was well booked. However, there is a public parking lot nearby where I could park my car. The breakfast buffet was generally acceptable, but the small pancakes were quite hard on one side and not as fluffy as one would have liked.

Wir waren total zufrieden mit allem in der Hostellerie Horst. Der Check-in war freundlich und schnell, die Zimmer (wir hatten das Familienzimmer Nr. 14 mit 4 Erwachsenen) waren sehr komfortable und sauber. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, das Bad riesig. Der kostenlose Parkplatz ist direkt hinter dem Haus. Das Frühstücksangebot war nicht riesig (ist aber auch bei der Größe der Hostellerie nicht realistisch zu erwarten), aber frisch, von guter Qualität und lecker und wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten. Zu Fuß braucht man 5 Minuten ins Zentrum, wo man jede Menge Auswahl an Restaurants, Cafés und Kneipen bei entspannter Atmosphäre und mit viel Außengastronomie hat. Die Betreiber waren sehr, sehr freundlich, sprechen fließend Deutsch und helfen bei allen Fragen gern weiter. Besonders zu erwähnen war für uns, dass es im Lobbybereich auch noch einen mit ca 30 Biersorten und Softdrinks gefüllten Kühlschrank gibt, an dem man sich (kostenpflichtig) bedienen kann. So kann man sich auch noch im Allgemeinbereich der Hostellerie aufhalten, wenn man noch nicht aufs Zimmer will. Die Hostellerie bietet wohl auch ein Abendessen an, das man vorher bestellen muss (nicht sicher, wie viel Vorlauf sie brauchen). Das haben wir bei diesem Besuch nicht ausprobiert, würden wir aber beim nächsten Mal testen.

Beste Team ”In de Witte Dame”, Niet enkel de ligging van Jullie établissement (zicht op gezellige dorpsplein, rand van de Maas,...); maar ook Jullie kamers zijn tip top in orde. We konden op Jullie verzoek gebruik maken van het loft appartement ”Secretaris”; dit heeft alles wat een appartement nodig heeft; een rustgevend dakterras, kwalitatief onderbouwd met professionele raamverduistering, kwalitatieve douchekranen; alsook het bed waarvan de matras enorm deugdoend aanvoelt...echt top! De verwelkoming door Leontien en/of één van haar medewerkers (of je nu een klant bent van een verblijf of een passant in de zaak); alsook de bediening, is steeds gemeend. De glimlach van hun allemaal, de gedienstigheid, een fijne babbel,...niets is voor die mensen te veel gevraagd; integendeel het gebeurt gewoon vanzelf, recht uit hun hart; dankbaar voor jouw bezoek aan de zaak. Deze welgemeende bediening vind je amper nog terug ... dit is één van de troeven van ”In de Witte Dame”! Nog een troef is het super lekkere dagverse ontbijt; voldoende keuze, krantje bij de hand,... Dineren kan je er ook naar hartelust; zeer moeilijk om soms een keuze te maken uit al die lekkernijen; die ontzettend 1 voor 1 smaakvol zijn bereid. De borrelplank is als het ware een ”bom” van een plank; dit in combinatie met 1 van de lekkere biertjes of wijntjes zijn enorm deugddoend na een ferme fiets- of wandeltocht, de spare ribs krokant gebakken; sappig van binnen met de nodige perfecte kruiding zijn een topper van het huis; maar geloof mij; ook de rest is een streling voor de tong! Een dikke chapeau aan het keukenteam! Reikhalzend kijken we uit naar een volgend bezoek allicht in het seizoen van de asperges... Onze ”Award 2024” krijg je nu alvast; niets kan dit overtreffen...Behoudt aub Jullie glimlach, Jullie ”houden van” métier gevoel, uniek!! We hebben hier alleen gedineerd en dat was geweldig. Het 4-gangen wildmenu een absoluut hoogstandje. De lekkerste wildbouillon ooit met daarna 4 soorten wild als hoogtepunt. . Erg leuke gezellige bediening door het gehele team en vooral door de jongedame uit de Kwakel. Lactosevrij voor mijn reisgezellin was geen enkel probleem. Leuke ambiance met kerstboom. We komen terug.

A group of six of us stayed at the Maashof hotel on what was the last night of a 10 day motorcycle tour and it was also my birthday. I had carefully chosen the hotel in the hope that we would have a lovely stay and dinner in a beautiful lakeside location. Unfortunately there were several issues which cast a significant shadow over my birthday celebrations and ruined our stay. The problems started when checking in when they overcharged two of my friends and they would have overcharged another friend and myself, had I not noticed and intervened. I had booked four single occupancy rooms and one double occupancy room and there was an administrative issue between *********** and the hotel which caused confusion over how many guests were staying in each room, despite the hotel having the names of the six guests against each booked room. All of us were asked when checking in how many guests were staying in each room, but despite this two friends were charged the double occupancy room rate and one friend was charged for two half board dinners despite them all being in rooms on their own. In addition, they also attempted to overcharge us for the half board option despite me accepting a special offer online which had been emailed to me prior to arrival. We then had a further major issue. Three of the rooms were directly underneath the kitchen and hotel entrance and were extremely noisy until very late in the evening and again the next morning starting around 5.30am which meant several of us had a very disturbed night. Two of my friends complained at the time and agreed with the duty manager that they would have the full cost of their room refunded, as he was unable to offer them an alternative room. He advised them that if we had wanted better, quieter rooms we should have booked directly with the hotel rather than through *********** and he told my friend to email the Reservations Manager regarding the refund. The hotel management have admitted that the rooms we stayed in are very noisy, but there was no mention of this when we booked and they still charged the full room rate. On our return to the UK, I emailed the Reservations Manager and following many exchanges she offered a 25% refund for the three rooms most affected by the noise, despite the duty manager’s earlier promise of a full refund. Personally I thought this paltry offer did not provide sufficient remuneration for the problems we encountered but I felt I had no choice but to accept. I subsequently provided my bank details in an email but the refund was not forthcoming. I chased regularly by email as to why the refund was taking so long only to be told cross-border, cross-currency bank transfers take a long time and ”it will arrive within a few days” and then “as soon as possible”. Despite these repeated assurances it took 3 weeks for me to receive the refund and only then after several more emails including to the hotel General Manager who at one point decided to attack my pe
