We stayed in a motel unit with a view of the Estuary. Perfect for sitting on the wee deck and relaxing with a book and a view. Our unit was spotlessly clean and welcoming, the 2nd bedroom which sleeps 2 singles is nice and with just 2 of us made an ideal bag room. Swimming towels also included and renewed each day. The mineral pools use is included in price of Motel so good value. Parking is also great with easy access up a ramp So,,,, if you want to stay home in NZ and want to feel like you're in Fiji this is the perfect spot. A quick drive to Wahi beach would supply the swimming Perhaps a pina colada drink list would seal the deal!! Great spring break with nice weather temperature and a Hot soak whenever you want. We loved it and will visit again.

Stayed for a festival in Waihi. Staff were great and accomodating. Facilities were great, toilets and showers always clean and great conditions. Camp plots were large and of good condition also. Would highly recommend to any family and friends who are heading to Waihi Beach.

Do not book here unless you want to be awaken EVERY morning just after 8am by the horrific sound of a leaf blower which seems to go on for ever. When we approached Scott (the maintenance guy) to enquire why he starts soo early with the noise we were rudely spoken to and told: ”If you don't like this then you shouldn't book here! Go to a BnB. You are the type who propably complain about the quality of the water too. I don't have time for this. Go take it up with management!” I have been a loyal visitor at this campground since 2016. I have never experience such rudeness and disrespect for paying customers. I understand the leaves have to be blowen away every day, but for goodness sake, use some common sense and don't do it first thing in the morning when holidaymakers want to have a lie in and make the most of their paying holiday. I wonder how Scott will feel if he pays to stay at a BnB snd the owner pulls out the chainsaw at 8am and start cutting down trees every morning! Surely this can be done

We stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch.All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel. The service was second to none. Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay. We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people. We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel

Great location in Waihi, handy to everything. Parking onsite outside of unit. Unit was very clean and well arranged. Never stayed anywhere that provided as many power outlets. Normally have to search for them to charge phones etc, but they had plenty. Owners are lovely and friendly. We didnt use the pool as we didnt have time really. Unit has a microwave which is convenient and was spacious for 3 of us. Would stay again. The one downside was the traffic noise with being so close to the highway.
