Definitely not my favourite hotel - in fact I left after the first night of my 3 night booking & forfeited my payment for the remaining nights. BED... If you like sleeping on a FIRM bed similar to a timber floor, then the bed will suit you fine. If you prefer a more luxurious softer bed then book a different hotel. Even when Housekeeping put 2 comforters between the bed & the sheet, it was still HARD. BATHROOM Again very different to usual Filipino standards. On the bed were 2 face washers & 2 towels (about the size of typical western hand towels), plus in the bathroom was 2 ”Bath Towels” (narrow long flimsy open weave fabric) for exfoliating your body not drying it. Getting dry after the shower was definitely a challenge. BREAKFAST For a westerner, there was no cereal to start the day. The buffet containers for both the fried eggs & the back were empty, so I asked if they could be replenished. The hostess immediately went to the kitchen & promptly returned with a plate of fried eggs & another plate of bacon. I thought YIPPEE, I will have fresh hot breakfast, but I was sadly disappointed as both the eggs & the bacon were cold - obviously left on a bench in the kitens after being cooked sometime earlier. If you want butter to go with your sweet toast, you have to ask for it. Vegemite on sweet toast is a strange taste. Cappucino coffee is NOT included in breakfast. POWER OUTLETS If you have travelled to the Philippines you will know that their power outlets are two flat vertical pins. NOT HERE, they are the Korean recessed circular pins which made charging my devices a challenge. Thankfully reception had Korean/Filipino adapters. POOL It was nice!

The resort comprises of 12 rooms. Our room was very clean and comfortable. One bed is semi-double size and one single for my daughter. Room has air-con and fan. Hot water is consistent should you desire. No problems with Wi-Fi if that’s what you need too. Pleasant days to be had hanging around the pool. Cleaned religiously everyday. Resort wasn’t so busy so we were able to swim all day. Accessing Panglao/Alona it’s no problem. Staff can call you a trike and it’s only a five minute journey. Also the resort has a free shuttle service. Only not available on Wednesday. Food at the resort is limited but breakfast is good and filling. I think they have 4 to 5 options to choose from. Also, Staff can organize deliveries, filipino food, amazing local pizza from well established Italian restaurant close by. All payments at the resort must be made cash only. There are no credit card services available. The resort is still young but progressively growing. Overall, Gucci and his team made us most welcome. Gucci (the owner) is an experienced tour guide so knows how to treat his guests, this reflects in the staff attitude too. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Would recommend the resort organizing pick-up from the port and airport. It made our life so much easier having a driver there waiting. Also, prices for the services are very reasonable. Book with confidence and enjoy your stay! We will be back for sure.

I just wanted to thank Alona Pawikan for a the wonderful 5 nights stay! I did not regret booking here! The place is absolutely quiet and relaxing. The Staffs are all nice and always smiling! I highly recommend your place to everyone! Value for Money and Comfortable! I will come back in this Safe Haven in Bohol!

I had a great time at Veraneant resort. The housekeeper was very friendly always accommodating our requests. She assisted us to organise tours and transport. I love their swimming pool and the bedroom was clean, with air conditioner and shower with hot water. I strongly recommend this resort.

Nous avons réserver cet établissement par erreur . Nous voulions réserver alona vida Beach qui est en front de mer mais l’appli nous a renvoyé vers cet hôtel . Je ne m’en suis pas rendue compte (faites attention en réservant ! Car il y’a deux hôtels qui portent le même nom un hôtel front de mer (alona vida beach) et cet hôtel là dans le centre (alona vida beach resort hill ) )
Toutefois nous ne sommes pas déçus : le personnel est gentil et arrangeant ; Les chambres spacieuses et propres . Par contre , pas de restaurent, pas de café dispo le matin à part expresso.
Il y’a un bar où on sert des snacks (nous ne l’avons pas essayé )
L’emplacement est ok proche du centre et à 900m environ de la plage (faut faire le tour car y’a une seule route qui mène à la plage )
L’impression générale est bonne

Первое что нужно знать, нормальной дороги к этому отелю нет. Сюда не приезжает такси. Остается только брать байк и ездить самим.
В целом сам отель хороший, есть бассейн, кафе, красивая территория.
В номере есть холодильник, чайник выдают по запросу, шкаф для одежды. Номер выглядит хорошо. Убираются по запросу.
Так как отель находится в джунглях, тут много живностей. По ночам что то скребет потолок, гекконы забираются в комнату и всю ночь орут.
Завтраки на выбор. Достаточно хорошие. Отдельное спасибо персоналу. Всегда вежливые и со всем готовы помочь 🙏

Booked for 3 nights. Very accomodating front deak. I love that there are options for breakfast (included in the package) and they accomodate if you have an early
Activity or flight to prepare or pack the breakfast early. Beach front, very nice location. Ilove the CR spacious and clean. Love the rooms and the cute pool. Ilove the vibe here especially during the night. Good access for sunrise.

Ребята, этот отель спас наш отдых!
Поскольку пляжи (море) все на острове откровенное разочарование, то бассейн в этом отеле нам показался просто райским. Он сделан не как обычные бассейны имеет разные уровни для лежания и отдыха, чудные беседки, а главное там так тихо и всего 5 номеров, из которых не все заняты, поэтому есть полное ощущение что ты на собственной вилле. И это приятно. Номер тоже отличный как апартаменты с гостинной и кухней. Супер

PPengguna TetamuWe had a very pleasant stay at Henann Alona Beach. The hotel is big, and it was very busy during checkin, however they have so many pools that you don’t notice the amount of people.
We had a great time in the poolbar at happy hour, and spent all our time at the resort! Restaurants could use a bit more healthy options and breakfast some more vegetarian (there wasn’t even a plain yoghurt or granola bar, and more unhealthy choices) options.
If you go out of the resort you directly walk into a street full of bars and restaurants! Gym was very well equipped and rooms where good. Please improve the curtains, since they were not blacking out the room.

Massages were the best I’ve ever had in my life. If we ever came back to Panglao again, the ONLY reason we wouldn’t stay at Amorita again would be due to the price. Everything else was top notch.

PPengguna TetamuNous avons séjourné une nuit. C'est une recommandation coup de cœur du Loonely Planet. Je pense que c'est à ré évaluer... Par rapport aux autres endroits où nous avons séjourné. L'endroit est relativement propre, l'accueil sympathique. La piscine est très très grande, bien entretenue. Mais l'endroit manque d'âme, aucun cachet, un bon coup d'anticalcaire serait appréciable sur les robinets. Nous avons eu quelques fourmis sur le lit. Le restaurant est bien mais rien d'incroyable. C'est très bien comme lieu de passage mais sans doute moins pour passer ses vacances. Il y a des serviettes pour la piscine à demander à la réception. Nous avons eu une coupure de courant vers 5h du matin, cela arrive.

Ggibo_27We booked a two-night stay and overall it was good. Location is one kilometer away from the beach center. You can ride a tricycle to the center for P100. It is just along the road and it is situated within a commercial center where there is a cafe, convenience store, restaurants and clinic.
Amenities are good. Since this is a new hotel, the furnitures and appliances are new and in good condition. Water pressure is great, shower heater is working perfectly. Private javuzzi is a plus.
The bfast buffet is actually more of chinese cuisine and not of wide variety but just enough for the price. There is a big television but the channels and movies available are chinese.
Overall, still a good experience. It is peaceful and quiet in the resort and you can enjoy the pool area specially if there are few guests.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited.
One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout.
The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient.
Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items.
The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block.
The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal.
One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them!
Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style.
On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it.
While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium.
If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

Firstly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist and made me feel welcomed.
However, it's worth noting that the lack of an elevator could be a challenge for some guests, especially those with heavy luggage or mobility issues. While the staff are willing to help with bags, I would advise against bringing too much or heavy luggage to avoid inconvenience.
The option for transportation from the hotel to the pier port (Panglao to Tagbilaran) at a reasonable cost of 800 pesos was convenient and appreciated. It saved me the hassle of arranging transport myself.
In terms of room amenities, the absence of a cabinet was a bit inconvenient, and having only one bedside drawer limited storage space. Additionally, encountering an air conditioning remote in Chinese was unexpected. While a translator app or assistance from the front desk resolved this issue, it could be an inconvenience for guests not familiar with such technology.
On the bright side, the cleanliness and softness of the sheets enhanced the comfort of the stay. However, some corners of the shower could use more attention in terms of cleanliness.
The place was overall quiet in terms of other in-house guests, but at certain times in the morning, it can get a bit noisy from the neighbor's dogs, which woke me up. Understandably, it's out of the hotel's control. While there were aspects of my stay that I enjoyed, such as the friendly staff and comfortable bedding, there are areas where improvements could enhance the overall guest experience, particularly in terms of room amenities and cleanliness.
Overall, the room price for the stay was reasonable and offered good value, complementing the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this place and rebook for future trips.

PPengguna TetamuWhat a gem in Panglao!! 💎 A family owned boutique hotel that feels like a cozy home stay. Peaceful, artsy, clean and neat, with a very reliable wifi connection. They even serve the Yardstick coffee (for all the coffee lovers out there, this is your place). Although the owners and the staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable (love you all guys ❤️), the best part is the 4 little dogs that just brighten up your day every time you pass by. The pool was also clean and well maintained, and the omelette they serve for breakfast is rich with condiments and tasty! The hotel also rents out their own motorbikes which are all in a really good condition (unlike many of those you rent in random shops or in the street). Oh, and yeah, if you read in reviews that they have really high quality bed mattresses - I am attesting to that. Unless you put your alarm on, you won’t wake up. It’s that good! If you are not a fan of big hotel chains that treat you just like a number, then look no further. Thanks for having us guys and really hope to be back soon!!

During our stay, we were pleased to find that the service at Katchajo Inn was warm and attentive. The hospitable nature of the staff added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our time at the inn.
The availability of free Wi-Fi was a convenient feature, allowing us to stay connected and make the most of our time in the area. Additionally, the presence of a mini-swimming pool provided a refreshing option for relaxation, adding to the overall appeal of the inn.
While the food was satisfactory, it was the inn's cleanliness and charming atmosphere that left a lasting impression. The reasonable pricing, in combination with the clean and cute ambiance, made for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
One minor area for improvement would be the towels, which, while clean, showed signs of aging. However, this was a small detail in an otherwise enjoyable experience.
In conclusion, Katchajo Inn provided a welcoming and convenient base for our beachside getaway. With its clean and charming accommodations, hospitable service, and added amenities such as free Wi-Fi and a mini-swimming pool, we found it to be a delightful choice for couples seeking a relaxing and well-located retreat. -Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white ***** that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.

MMichaelThe resort was quite quiet which is what we wanted, but felt like off season. There was some renovation and the restaurant closed a little earlier than we would have liked. (there was no information about renovation when we booked the resort)
Having said that, the resort was very clean and well looked after.
