Good location for exploring Tomar sites on foot, many restaurants nearby. Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice public spaces (lobby bar, outdoor pool). Stayed in a “superior room” which was huge with a large sitting area and balcony, comfortable bed, free onsite parking. An affordable luxury compared to larger cities.

If you are planning a visit to Tomar, consider this newly renovated, boutique hotel! Located within walking distance to nearby shops and cafes, it is situated on an island with views of the surrounding river. It is absolutely lovely!! We had a regular room with a balcony outfitted with comfy lounge furniture. The room is beautifully decorated with walnut floors, a modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed. My spouse completed two zoom meetings from the desk comfortably. Included are my two favorites—robes and slippers! The bathroom has a large makeup mirror and LED lighting. It’s modern, efficient, and beautifully designed. We ate at the hotel restaurant both nights. The service is impeccable. If you are fortunate to have George or Francisco as your waiters, ask for their recommendations. We enjoyed both dinners. Breakfast is similar—amazing offerings for a day of sight seeing. The hotel has a small spa. After climbing, walking, and driving, we took advantage of the sauna and hydrotherapy pool. Just ask for the required swim cap to go along with the large towels provided in the room. TripAdvisor photos are no longer accurate. Check out the pics I’ve added and look at the hotel website. A very conveniently located property that provides the basics in a comfortable way at a very reasonable price. A really good bargain overall. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good with ample selections. Parking is available at no cost in several public lots that are a short walk to the Guest House. Plenty of restaurants are in short walking distance. Our room was quiet and had a small kitchenette which might be of interest to those who have kids or special dietary concerns.

We stayed two nights at the Vila Gale hotel, as we were part of a group, our bus was unable to reach the entrance we had to walk about half a block, the lobby is amazing with lots of details of history of Tomar and the way to the rooms is hidden behind a door that is covered with decorations. Since it is a very old building, that also is connected to another one across the street, there is an elevated bridge and that connects to the dining room and other rooms. My room was very nice and warm, the bathroom is large and comfortable, just there was a tiny problem with the shower drain, but I shared the info with the reception. The hotel is beautiful and worth the visit, Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner....will return

O hotel está bem localizado no centro de tomar. É otimo para quem vem de comboio pois fica a poucos minutos da estação ferroviária. O staff é atencioso. Pequeno almoço é delicioso. Tem boa variedade mas podia servir por exemplo sumo de maçã. Recomemdo uma paragem pelo terraço ao final do dia para ver o anoitecer e o pôr do sol com o castelo no cenário. Pena não terem spa ou serviço de massagens.
