Hotel terbaik di Machico

We had a wonderful 4 weeks holiday at this hotel. Everything was as near perfect as we could have imagined - from the pristine cleanliness, decor, service, value for money, and of course the wonderful staff. Oh, nearly forgot the very welcome plentiful breakfasts. Machico is a special little town with very friendly locals. So many shops, bars and restaurants everywhere. The bus service was very punctual and a fun ride to the capital Funchal. The beaches are so close to the hotel, and the promenade was just long enough to ensure a brisk walk - and a refreshing drink after! Anyway, just to repeat that this is a wonderful hotel, and we look forward to returning soon. Well done to all of our friends at White Waters. The Abbotts!

Pedro pobyt all inclusive. Uwagi dot. hotelu i Machico: - dobre Wi-Fi w pokojach i częściach wspólnych hotelu - łóżka 1 osobowe zsuwane razem (mają tendencję do rozsuwania się). Dobre materace. Do okrycia prześcieradło z zawiniętym w nim kocem i narzutą, oddzielnie dla każdego łóżka. Rozwiązanie dyskusyjne - koszt sejfu w pokoju to 14 euro za 7 dni - duży TV, w którym są wszystkie istotne info na temat hotelu - kiepskie wyciszenie akustyczne ścian i stropów (słychać nieco głośniejsze rozmowy). Dobre wyciszenie okien, praktycznie nie słychać szumu oceanu - wystarczająca na 2 osoby ilość szaf i półek. Przy łóżkach lampki nocne - na zewnątrz temperatury ok 16-18°C przy zachmurzeniu (w połowie stycznia). Po zamknięciu okna w pokojach w miarę ciepło. Klimatyzacji nie udało nam się włączyć. - w pokoju tylko 1 wolne gniazdo elektryczne. Można kupić w sklepie Continente rozgałęźniki elektryczne, w rozmaitych wersjach już od 1,5 euro. Niestety w moim pokoju położenie komody blokowało ich włożenie do gniazda - w hotelu (10 pięter). Są 2 przeszklone i nowoczesne windy. Od 3 pietra w górę zapewniają świetny widok na ocean. Niestety, strasznie wolno się otwierają, co radykalnie opóźnia ich pracę. Czasami, przy większym ruchu, zdecydowanie szybciej przejść po schodach - codziennie do pokoju jest dostarczana 1 butelka wody (1 litrowa, jeżeli wypiło się poprzednią). Chociaż niektórzy skarżyli się, że jej nie dostawali, - w łazience jest wanna z kotarą, 2 mydła w kostce, 2 szampony do włosów, gniazdo elektryczne. Brak suszarki do włosów. Ręczniki dobrej jakości w wystarczającej ilości. Woda w kranach miękka. W moim przypadku brak konieczności zakupienia żelu po kąpieli - hotel ma 50 lat, lecz jest bardzo zadbany i czysty. Kłopotliwe jest odnalezienie części wspólnych, np. restauracji, baru, zejścia na basen, itd. z uwagi na nieintuicyjne zaprojektowanie tej części hotelu - pokoje są sprzątane bardzo dokładnie - w hotelu jest dobra i nienachalna obsługa - animacji nie zauważyłem, co dla mnie nie było wadą. Wieczorem są koncerty na żywo - położenie hotelu fantastyczne, ok. 20 m od wód zatoki. Okna w lobby i restauracji zapewniają panoramiczny widok na zatokę i ocean, niestety częściowo przesłonięty przez drzewa - zimą w hotelu jest otwarty jedynie bar wewnątrz hotelu (Piano Bar – 2 poziomy powyżej restauracji). Dostaniesz w nim np. drinki, soki, kawę, brandy, whisky, wódkę, wino (w tym 4 rodzaje wina Madeira). W przerwach między posiłkami dostępne są w określonych godzinach bardzo skromne przekąski, głównie chleb tostowy z żółtym serem i wędliną oraz kuleczki z dipem. Chętnych na przekąski nie zauważyłem - ok 10-15 min. spacerem od hotelu znajdują się 2 duże markety Continente oraz Pingo Doce (w tym drugim zjecie nawet ciepły posiłek i napijecie się kawy) - okna w pokojach wychodzą na ocean lub na zatokę i panoramę Machico -goście hotelowi to większości francuscy seniorzy oraz Polacy - blisko do przystanków autobusowych, ok 200 m do przystanków do i ze stolicy

Travelled with my husband and adult son, 2 rooms, one week all inclusive and had a fabulous time. We chose this hotel as we wanted a short transfer from the airport, and it didn't disappoint! Even the shuttle transfer only took 10 minutes, 5 minutes by car. We had an early flight, rooms are available from 3pm , but after a quick check in at reception we were invited to have lunch and then call back to see if our rooms were ready... we waited a short time, but by 2pm we had both rooms available... the staff throughout the whole week were friendly and efficient. Rooms: We had a sea view, beds were comfortable (although a bit squeaky due to mattress protectors) , air conditioning worked great, TV channels fine with some films available, wifii good, mini bar (chargeable) we didn't use. A free safe, no kettle in the room (we took our own) but apparently available if you ask. Pool: indoor pool and spa (we didn't use) Outdoor pool cold, but fabulous! Towels available on all inclusive, just ask at the Spa or reception. Transport: We booked the hotel's free shuttle into Funchal which leaves at 10 and comes back at 5.30pm... book early so you don't miss out , it's a mini bus so spaces are limited. Having said that - the buses are frequent and reception were really helpful and provided us with a bus timetable... In the opposite direction Machico is lovely with a manmade sandy beach and some nice bars and bakeries, 12 euros by taxi and about 3 euros on the bus. All Inclusive option/ food: I would say that AI guests were in the minority.. lots of different nationalities (which we loved) Lots of cabin crew staying too, a real variety of guests..... in some ways it felt like a conference hotel, but worth it's 4 stars... we enjoyed the food. One A la Carte meal per 7 days on all inclusive and it was really good! Be sure to book early, although off season, we didn't have a problem. You get a menu and select your choice the day before... excellent! Drinks were of high quality.. one cocktail 'special' per day , plus beer ,wine, local spirits etc... Lunch time we preferred the snack bar... hot dogs, salads ,toasties , fries etc.. all inclusive cake or ice cream including magnums, Cornettos etc! A shout out to all of the bar and restaurant staff, and the reception too! Sandra in the restaurant... always a smile and a chat, made our day! Entertainment: Not a lot going on during the day, which suited us just fine, live entertainment most night's which we enjoyed. Other: We hired a car from reception.. there is a car rental close to the hotel, which might be cheaper, but for ease and peace of mind booked from the hotel... delivered to the underground carpark (7 euros per night to park) and left there afterwards. Area: We really loved Santa Cruz, as we like traditional and quiet.. there isn't a lot there, just a few restaurant's and bars, but it has a lovely atmosphere in spite of the air traffic. We had a visit to the local dentist

We (me, wife, and 4 year old) stayed here for 7 nights the last week of July 2024. The hotel was excellent; great location about a ten min drive from the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable - good sound proofing. There is an option when to use the room cleaning service. On days you don’t use it you are refunded some money. It’s all to do with the hotel meeting its environment obligations etc. On booking in there is a tourist tax. I had no problem with this and indeed expected it. Wish we had it here in Glasgow. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. We had no problem getting a sun-bed each day although on windy days there is a rule about no umbrellas up. Can’t really speak to the food as we only had breakfast which was a tad standard. The food at the pool bar was excellent. There are a couple of places nearby you can eat however the walks are very hilly! The hotel sits on the front which is great for evening walks to enjoy the sunset etc. we found the locals very friendly and the place in general very safe for young families. The hotel runs a complimentary bus into Funchal on weekdays which I would recommend. Please note it is very sharp so be there in plenty of time. All in we had a great time and would defo go back.
