Hotel terbaik di Monte Gordo

Hotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.

The hotel is very clean, friendly and staffs are very welcoming, pleasant and attentive to the need of each customers. Rooms very spacious, airy and bright. Breakfast buffet is well stocked up and with plenty of choices for various requirements of clients. Swimming pool is a bonus due to extreme heat outside, water very cold and would appreciate the water being bit warmer. Vast car park is a plus, busy parking around hotel perimeter. I stayed at Casablanca for five nights. This was my first solo trip and I really had the best stay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, I wanted to do a day trip to Tavira (high recommend) but wasn’t too sure about where the train station was and how to get there. They got Google maps up for me and showed me exactly how to get there via street view and told me which train and what to expect. I got there and back with no problems and only cost me €5 for a return. The rooms are basic but clean and fresh. When I arrived it was late at night but noticed my balcony door wouldn’t lock, I explained this to reception and they came and had a look but the lock had broke. They changed my room without hesitation. I booked for bed and breakfast, the breakfast was great. Plenty of choice and rotated on a daily basis again staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I spent my days by the beach or wandering around as I had made some friends on the first night but the pool appeared clean with plenty of sunbeds. It is a little pool but that suits with the hotel being on the smaller scale. It is a great location with the beach only a three minute walk and is surrounded by bars and restaurants. A perfect little get away to recharge the batteries! Thank you for making my stay excellent!

Vila Real y Monte Gordo son dos destinos interesantes para practicar deporte (running, bicicleta, golf, etc.) y este Hotel reúne las características idóneas para ello. Localización cercana a las instalaciones deportivas, habitaciones preparadas para un buen descanso y un desayuno con opciones sanas, de calidad y adecuadas para deportistas.

I really, truly hate writing negative or even average reviews, but my experience at this hotel left a lot to be desired. This is a hotel for older people, to be frank. Nearly every person I saw, with the exception of the staff and one or two middle-aged women, was 60+. Do not bring your children here, because they will not enjoy themselves. We’ll start with the positives: - I stayed in room 109 - lovely use of space, very nice balcony with a lovely view. VERY clean. - Cleaners all throughout the hotel were very polite and lovely. - The pool areas were gorgeous, very clean & the Bali beds were a delight. The spa area was good too. - Hotel very close to the beach. Check in was quick (more on this later) - The interior design is interesting! Not for everyone obviously, but I liked it. And now the negatives: - The biggest flaw in this hotel is the restaurant, particularly at dinner times. Very busy. - I cannot think of a word other than rancid to describe the food. I am not a fussy eater, but I genuinely wouldn’t serve the food they provided to my dog. I’ll attach a photo of the ‘salmon’ they served. The food was either dry, soggy, cold or just plain freezer food - veg, potatoes, everything. Felt like an Iceland showcase. Please do yourselves a favour and skip dinner at this hotel: it is not worth it. Breakfast however, ok! - The (one) waitress they had was always smiling which was lovely to see. The men were far too full on - the younger ones were lovely but the older gentlemen gave the impression they’d rather be anywhere else. I got approached asking what I’d like to drink whilst I was at the buffet which I thought was odd and quite rude. The constant checking up by multiple staff was also very uncomfortable - I’m trying to eat, please stop trying to make conversation. I got charged at checkout for a beer I hadn’t asked for and didn’t drink (I don’t drink beer…), but I wasn’t about to argue over €4. - The very odd one way entry system makes sense in terms of keeping up with who’s been into the restaurant, but is potentially dangerous for disabled people as the steps out of the restaurant aren’t overly accessible. - The check-in was quick, but too quick. No explanation of where anything was or even a mini map of the hotel. - Alma Spa was lovely, but not €17 euros lovely. Not everything worked. You also have to pay for a swimming cap on top of that. Overall - this hotel is not worthy of 4 stars. It’s barely even worth 2. Please save your money and look elsewhere. 3/5.

Esta ultima ha sido mi tercera vez en el hotel y sin duda la más decepcionante. Hemos ocupado dos habitaciones durante tres dias. Seis noches en total. El motivo de mi disgusto es que solo se nos ha arreglado la habitación en tres ocasiones de las seis contratadas. Nuestros horarios han sido dejar las habitaciones a las diez de la mañana, regresar a las tres y volver a salir a las seis de la tarde. En mi opinión tiempo mas que de sobra para tener las habitaciones listas. Lo comunicamos en recepción y la respuesta fue que había que esperar a las siete de la tarde que es la hora límite de la limpieza. Añadir también que una tarde sin avisar entraron en la habitación de mis hijos con ellos dentro y a nosotros nos despertaron llamando a la puerta. Como refiero es la tercera vez que nos alojábamos en el hotel y hasta ahora muy bien, pero esta vez no ha sido así. Pagamos muchísimo dinero en un hotel de cuatro estrellas para pasar tres dias, puedo entender que el hotel esté lleno, pero si hace falta más personal se le debe contratar.

Lovely hotel in a great location with direct access to the beautiful beach. The hotel interior is lovely with classic decoration. Comfortable seating in the bar and reasonable prices. Entertainment of some sort every night. Breakfast was great, huge choice of foods, staff efficient and friendly. Bedroom was large, bathroom good with double sinks, toilet, bidet and bath with shower over. It would be nice to just have a decent shower cubicle in place of shower over bath. Small fridge in bedroom which was handy for soft drinks and chocolate! 😂 It would have been good to have coffee and tea making in the room, plentiful supply in restaurant but nice to have a cup while getting up and dressed. All areas were clean and tidy, the cleaners worked hard all day! Pool area was large, clean and plenty of beds. Pool bar was great with good food. Tennis courts, crazy golf and pool table all available.
