Hotel terbaik di Kanchanaburi

We stayed here as part of a Titan tour group. There are no lifts to upstairs rooms (only ground and first floor) and rooms are set out in separate blocks. The bedroom area was fine, comfortable and enough room. No English on the TV, a shame as we like to keep abreast of news when away from home. Beds are spacious but the sheet on one could have been cleaner as there were a couple of marks probably from insects. The bathroom was a little tired, the bath had seen better days and the shower was a little weak in terms of flow. Plumbing is narrow and so toilet paper must be put in a bin and not down the toilet. The restaurant is outdoor although covered by a roof, mosquitoes were a bit of a pest around the whole site but not as bad as we expected them to be. Breakfast selection is good although there was no gluten free bread, there was other food for coeliacs though such as eggs, fruit and yogurt etc. Although we didn't have an evening meal there we heard that the restaurant was cheap and very good, just as well as there is really no-where else to go. Outdoor areas are lovely. Nice pool area and superb bar seating area overlooking the river. The hotel is in a good location within easy reach by car of the Kwai bridge etc. However, we did not appreciate the checking out procedure where you are not allowed to leave before the rooms have been checked to make sure nothing is missing, even the car park has a barrier pulled across for this. I realsie why they do this but surely like any other hotel such tiny losses must be included in the pricing structure.

This heart-crafted hotel is a true artistic labour of love... Artistic in broad strokes of a homely courtyard design, and cozy rooms warmed by rich earth tones; artistic in the many details of paintings, weavings, and ornaments decorating every wall and nook; artistic in the drawing pads and pencils which are put in different corners of the hotel for guests to try their hand; and artistic in a broad palette of inspiring efforts to support local communities and the environment; including selling paintings by ethnic Karen youth. I also enjoyed wonderful conversations with the owners, spanning art, history, spirituality, belonging and conservation. Highly recommended for families, amateur and professional artists looking for residences and retreats; or just finding somewhere to finally get that book chapter or report written (me) !! Been here for a night while visiting Kancanaburi. From their site, it gave me the impression that this place has a big compound but it just a small one. Stayed in the bamboo hut. The hut itself offered limited view of the river as it was obstructed by the floating rooms. Otherwise, hang out on the verandas with snacks and drinks in the evening was relaxing. The accommodation itself is rustic but well maintained. Hot water stable, air conditioner functioning well and the small LCD television has local channel. The garden is well trimmed and the grass is green. The bed is comfortable. My friends and i bought food at the night market and had dinner at the verandas together. Good time indeed. Not so many occupants, maybe 2-3 bamboo hut had visitor. The break first was limited but scrumptious. Reminder u might need insect repellant at night and beware there were also little amount of flies. I saw jet skies cruising on the river but didn't know where was it come from. In the morning had a jogging session to the town (the famous river kwai train bridge). It was near maybe around 2km. To the main city was a bit far, need car/motorbike. Back from jog session had a cool off and stretching session on the resort's jetty. Didnt get into the river though as the hotel keeper is rainy season and the water not clean. Nice experience. It was tranquil and the environment was calm. I personally like this place and ill be back if visiting Kanchanaburi again.

Located about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem! Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure. The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so. My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount ******, alongside many many others! Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story. “Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has. Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel. Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price. Life is precious, please enjoy the moment. Stayed in Nov 2022 in a standard room. Pros: -bed is medium firmness but comfortable -pillow is fine too -2 free glass bottles of water -breakfast not bad with ham, eggs, rice porridge, noodles, rice, salad, bread and toast, sausage, fruits and pancake. the lady here while english not perfect helped me navigate some food intolerances i had, so my thanks to her. -swimming pool looked nice and the gardens were relaxing. -hand soap bar provided. -1 toilet paper roll and shower gel and shampoo is provided. -shower is nice once it gets started. -towels for shower and towels for swimming pool is provided in the room. -room safe, kettle, tea and coffee and a small fridge is provided. -in a good location with some food pretty much across the road and 7-11 further down the road. -staff are friendly and courteous -wifi is good -overall rating 4.25/5 would recommend Cons: -no tissue box provided -bathroom sink is low -the hot water of the shower takes a while to stabilise.

Very average experience but- the room was spacious , and at the back block,it's quiet .pool looks ok. Bathroom very old style , but hot water ,ok pressure . Good beds ,clean & comfortable.kettle in room. The wifi is ..non existent in the rooms and spotty even at reception. No cable channels at all on TV,only local. It's not too far from Robinsons ,but nothing nearby. Breakfast eggs all cold ,very dreary but the hot dishes offered are Thai & ok. Dark corridors and manual keys 🔑 on door. It's ok for a day or 2 but the wifi is a serious problem .

Good location, nice view and peaceful. Recommend for couple sho would like to join the nature.

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights in a 1 bedroom suite with a great view of the river. Wonderful breakfast buffet includes Thai and Western options and is probably one of the best that I have experienced in Thailand. Outstanding service from reception, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a nice, quiet getaway. Located in a quiet area.
