Stellar service throughout, from check-in to dining & especially front desk Alisha L. and bartender Luis were exceptional. Rooms are spacious with luxurious finishes like the marble bathrooms and very comfortable beds and linens. Quiet, did not hear road noise, although some in our party heard their next door neighbor. Heard it was best to avoid back room above restaurant vent. Well-appointed, comfortable common areas, delicious restaurant and excellent cocktails at bar. Nice if small gym (cardio machines & free weights) and there is paved 5-mile Bolin Creek trail about 2 blocks away for walks or running. Siena theme throughout with music, artwork, Italian cuisine, etc. creates a great ambiance, but may be a bit overdone/kitschy for some.

From the moment I pulled into the property, I was welcomed and directed to parking and check in. There was no hot tea bags in the room but staff brought several tea bags beautifully presented on a tray with honey and lemon. Small details and prompt service were awesome!

The Good: The staff are wonderful. Can't say enough about how well our questions were answered and needs addressed. While the hotel is older and the rooms are worn, it is also very clean. All aspects of our room from the bathroom to the beds to the kitchen to the utensils were clean. Well done! The beds were comfy, no sagging mattresses. Plenty of space, always good to have a fullsize fridge, a stove and an oven and a microwave and a dishwasher - all worked well. The location is wonderful. 10-12 minutes from UNC Campus, but also a Wegmans basically across the road for food needs. Plenty of parking. The lobby bar is open weekday evenings, and there is a surprising selection of liquors for a small hotel bar. We did not try the in-house dinner menu. There is also a pool table, which we enjoyed. We did not try the swimming pool, but it did look clean. The Average: the pillows were those collapsable kind and by morning you need at least 2 on top of each other; the towels were OK, not rough like some hotels; the breakfast was included but the food is only OK with limited choices. We supplemented with some of our own so breakfast didn't get monotonous. Only one waffle maker for crowded breakfasts causes a long line. At least 2 mornings the breads took forever to be re-stocked. I don't think the breakfast is staffed to deal with a full dining room. I guess if you are an early riser, it should be fine. The ”could be better” - two sets of outlets in the kitchen did not work. Only the outlet where the microwave was plugged in worked, so we had to squeeze the toaster in as well. We mentioned this to management as we left - was only a slight inconvenience but still shouldn't happen. Laundry is available - 4 washers and 4 dryers on the 2nd floor. We never had to wait. 30 minute washer and 30 minute dryer cycles. $1.00 to wash; $1.50 to dry. Came in handy but it was annoying that if you chose to wash in hot water, the washer won't work. Only on cold and warm. It wasn't just 1 washing machine, we tried all 4. So obviously that's done by management on purpose - sneaky way to try to save money?

Great hotel.  Tasty free breakfast and very close to Souther Village which has some good restaurants and bars.

This may be the best Courtyard I have ever experienced for the quality of the rooms, food and the overall experience with the staff. I had the experience of working with 3 of this properties employees that are 1st class. William Rosales, Aaleeyah and Alonzo at the front desk. Since 30+ years of travel and on average of 170 nights per week, these 3 really stood out. My hope is that this property recognizes how good these employees are! Thanks again for a wonderful experience. I will be back soon!

Stayed here with my son for a lacrosse tournament. Extremely comfortable room - great bed, very dark, reliable and quiet AC system. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice $15 breakfast buffet that’s not extensive but plenty of good quality options. Laundry room on floor, and they’ll spot you detergent and dryer sheets (and provide quarters). Nice little gym, open 24 hours. The parking garage is a little chaotic but you get used to it after one trip in and out. If I ever end up in Chapel Hill again this will be an easy choice.

The hotel is newly renovated. The lounge is nice and clean. This hotel has great potential, but it could use some improvements in the guest experience aspect. Let me explain. During check in, we had a room with lounge access. It would save a phone call if the check in staff would make us aware of the lounge location and hours. We had to call to find out. Upon entering our room, we discovered that the AC was not working in the living room and there was an opened bottle of water in the bedroom. We call the front desk and engineer fixed it while we left our room. Thumbs up to the GM for including actual one bed room suites for SNA requests. I have seen too many properties that only offers junior suites or bigger rooms as options. I also want to mention that Erica was super friendly. She greeted us every time we interacted. Despite the issues, which I believe could definitely be fixed with more communication, this was a wonderful stay.
