PPengguna TetamuThis Lawrence, Kansas Marriott TownePlace Suites is an overpriced nightmare. This Marriott is a hotel at which their apocryphal three-star experience grows more distant with each attempt you make at attaining it. The Wifi at this Marriott doesn't work, their phones can't reach anyone at the front desk or any hotel operator, and you will be kept awake late into the night by loud partying and doors slamming. The hallways of this Marriott reek of booze, sweat, and smoke. If you manage to reach anyone who works at the hotel after an hour of contact attempts via hotel phone, Marriott hotlines, and online chats with third-party travel sites, Marriott may move you to a smaller room in which no one has stayed since the Clinton administration, with a broken TV, stale air, and a slick layer of grease upon every surface. This Lawrence, Kansas Marriott will downgrade you while exhausting you, until you are a worn-out shadow of the person you once were, hundreds of dollars poorer. Abandon hope, all ye who book the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Lawrence, Kansas.

We always try and stay at The Hampton Inn in Lawrence when visiting our daughter at KU. We’ve stayed here multiple times over the past couple years and it’s always clean and staff are friendly. Fairly priced although the price will be higher on high demand weekends so book early! The staff in the breakfast area keep it clean and there’s a nice selection for a hotel breakfast. Coffee is always good too. It’s nice to have a hotel you can count on after a long day of travel!

Jjas0719I had a lovely one-night stay at this hotel. Was in town for research. The room was comfortable and clean. Leandra, Kaeley and Josslyn were kind at the front desk and in the meal area. I liked the buffet and especially loved the kindness. I had a swimsuit and wish I'd had enough time to swim.

PPengguna TetamuGreeted promptly and efficiently, room was clean, tidy and in order. Excellent accommodations. Breakfast was above average. Linens were generous and in good conditions, room temperature was not readable, but the controls worked well and the room temp/humidity were very comfortable on this hot July night. Very pleased with the young man at the front desk. He was very helpful, understood his business well and in the morning the checkout was as expected and correct as promised.

PPengguna TetamuIt’s a great hotel, the staff is very helpful. The beds are comfy and the breakfast is more than I expected. The location is convenient, the pool is clean. The staff would be the ultimate reason I would come back again. The customer service is above and beyond.
